Anyone has this ram and know what max volt i can use ?
And what timings..
I run mine with 2.9v ( Haven't tried higher and was able to get 2.5-3-3-6 @ 265 1:1 with my 2.8e and P4C800ED combo. The ram is pretty decent stuff, I've even had it up to DDR584 with slacked timings.
I can't offer any advice on timmings or voltages, but I am curious what you think of the RAM. I'm trying to decide between the Plat rev2 or some 3700 Gold Rev3 for the DFI nf3 I have coming.
My 3200 Plat rev 2.0 1 gig kit will be here on monday or tuesday, I had it RMA'd as a replacement for my 3500EB which wouldn't work with 1T/over 220 HTT on my 939 rig.
From what I hear its special selected Samsung TCCD chips rated for DDR500. I'm expecting atlleast 260 1:1 2.5-3-3-7, these chips probably won't do much more with volts as they would with slacked timings.
I can run it 320 1:1 but not very stable.
Its very good ram, but wonder what max volt i can put on it.
Will try 2.9
That is a nice OC from its standard rating. Thanks for the info, and I hope you can get it stable and still keep an OC near that 320.Quote:

I have this shot, sitting and playing right now.
Will make one with more info later.
Running bios settings that anandtech use and same ram as him.
Some new info.
Got past 5000Meg/sec in Sandra at 320FSB.
And took the board to 340FSB 1:1 for 10-15 secs (Not that i belive it myself yet, has to be something that is wrong!)
This ram is very nice =)
Check pics.
Fantastic Uber. I wish I could turn back the clock and not ordering the 3500EB I'm receiving later this weekend.
Ha det!
Managed to run a sandra at 338fsb 1:1
But without 1T it dont make good score.
:slobber: :slobber: Wow 5K!!Quote:

Jep ... He get from 1T to 2T ;)
greetz
1T worked up to 320 so far.
But im still novice at this.
Volt readings are brooken on this board now it seems..but i continue till fans fall off =)
could you do me a favor and post timings and voltages with those fantastic screenies? :)
Timings are 3-4-4-10Quote:

Ubermann, these are awesome results. (Especially for PC3200 RAM ;) )
Too bad you can't test 2x 512MB.
What's your highest clock at CL2 - 2 - 2 - 10, 1T ?
thx! :)
looking good.. But correct me if I am wrong but you´re using 7.5 multi in the T1 shots?
First 2 pics with half multis.
Before i knew that it use some divider.
The rest is "whole" multis..
Havent played much with 2-2-2 but it got to ~225mhz something.
At 2T system is very stable but not good in sandra.

Nice work Uber!
Does the RAM get hot to the touch? (3V  )
Is 320 stable enough to run some benches like SuperPi 1M and PiFast?
Ram is cold yet.
Dont think 3.0 really is 3.0.
Cant run any Pi test with 320 CPC on, yet =)
310 was ok in prime for 47 minutes, moving on to 315 now.
Nice man!
Please post a screenie of the highest you achieved with SuperPi 1m.
320 would be da bomb!
Keep us posted, i can't wait to get mine. :)
Rebooted computer at least 50 times yesterday.
Can boot win with 315 but never get it prime stable.
Going back to see what max 2.5-3-3 can bring.
What is the max stable with the timings BigToe recommanded?
Did you try SuperPi 1m?
Cant boot with bigtoes settings.
Will try superpi later but my cpu max at 2.4 so there is no good setting for multi at 310
do u have 1 512MB-stick or 2x256MB? :)
first i'll try those ram, and then (if i get bad results) going to A-Data DDR600....:)
I believe he has 1x512, because the mems are only availably in 512mb/2x512mb.Quote:

Best i can get in PI is 35 sec, best i can get in sandra i 4900 something when its pretty stable.
Only benches i have tried.
CPU refuse to go past 2.4gig
Able to boot win with 325fsb and cpc on and cpu at ~2 gig.
Pulled back to 320 and took a screen.
That, my friend, is some serious bandwidth!! :up:Quote:

oh man, i've to w8 for my next fee, then i'll get 1gig of that amazing RAM :) and maybe a OCZ Booster ;)
WooW!
That ram looks perfect man!
I am waiting for my DFI by the end of this week or the begining of the next and i am going to test my crapy Corsair pc4400 on it(does max 230 on my ZNF-250 no matter the settings...) and if they perform so poorly on the DFI as well,i am going to get some OCZ PC3200EL Plat rev.2 :D :D
Ohh from where did you got them and how much??
Keep up the burning :D
I am also ordering some of this stuff...You can get it at NewEgg.com or hereQuote:

Also, does anyone have any idea on how we can be sure its a rev2?
Is there a sticker or something?
EDIT
Just found them at Shop 4 memory (UK) for 328 € for 2*512.
Is this considered to be a fair price??
yes - in germany they cost about 300€
Ran memtest #5 and #8 (#5 for adults :D)
255 FSB, 133 div, 383 HTT (LDT = 2.5) x 6 (best memtest BW) and ran fine all night. :banana4:
Computer hangs at Drive detection @ 418HTT, 120 div
May not survive the winxp 32 install in a day or so, but I like it so far. Gotta run some more memory tests b4 loading winders.
Max async Latency has to be btw 8-10 or it will result in "detecting array"
Speeds over 315 with one stick 512 has to run at "ram strength" level 2
Write cas TWCL should be set to AUTO or 1 (prefer auto)
"Refresh period" should always be set to 4708
DQS Skew should be increase and a value btw 8-128 (Over 320FSB 8 to 32 max)
This is with CPC on.
I could be wrong but i played alot with this and think this is correct settings for high FSB on this ram.
Correct me if im wrong, dont even know what most of this settings do =)
Ok, I finally have some results to share with my 2x512 Plat Rev2/DFI/CG clawhammer setup. So far, I am running at 250MHz x 10 and memory set 1:1. Timmings are 2.5 3 3 10 and thus far I am getting 3900 in sandra and 35 seconds on super PI. I am really liking this machine so far. Not too shabby for an air cooled dual 512 stick setup if you ask me.
Oh yeah, I haven't tried just a single stick so far, but the hightest HTT I have gotten with both in the system and being PI and Sandra stable is 320 1:1.

Your guess is as good as mine :p:
I haven't seen too many results with other 1gig configs, so I don't know what is to be expected of it. I have no idea what setup you will run it in either. Also, I am sure a dual channel setup would get better results than a single channel setup such as mine. What I can tell you is that this memory is damn good. I am more than pleased thus far with my results, and I cannot wait to see just how far I can push it. So far, this memory has gone as far as I have asked it to and begged for more. As it sits, it is sandra, PI, and prime stable. Things were a little shaky at first since the PSU I was running just couldn't cut it and undervolted like mad. Since I got my new one in, voltages have been steady and plenty, and my system and my memory have responded very well indeed.
How high did you get with 2.5-3-3 Ubermann?Quote:

im useing 2x512mb ocz 3200el rev2.
right now im trying to get both sticks prime95 stable.
i got error after 1h 30min with 270fsb 2.5-3-3-10 and 3v.
error after 1 min with same settings exept 265fsb. so now im trying 275fsb instead.
Hmm..talking about volts, how do they react in high volts??
Since i heard that TCCD are not a great fan o Tera-Volts :p
Havent had time with 2.5-3-3 yet.
Lost a whole evening trying to boot at 330FSB cpc on.
But i lost that fight =)
But 2.5-4-3 works at 315fsb.
Just trying to get it stable now.
2.5-3-3 seems to max at 280~285, after that its 2.5-4-3
thats pretty good! thanks for that Ubermann
Ubermann,
How did you get DRAM Drive Strength @ level 2 to boot?
Mine refuses to boot with anything lower than level 3.
I need to reset Cmos if i set anything lower than level 3.
I just can't get it to run proper, it refuses to run stable over 265-270 no matter what settings, not even 3-4-3-10 with 2.9V
I've been trying for hours on end to get 295 errorfree in memtest, i failed.
I keep getting at least one error in test 6, tying to load windows result in a BSOD.
You told me your RAM stayed cold, mine gets pretty hot with only 2.7V doing Prime.
Also, setting everyting to auto, it defaults to 2-3-2-5 instead of 2-2-2-5.
I'm 100% positive i have the rev.2
I'm afraid i got a very nasty stick... :(
Drive level 1-2 works with cpc on anything else is bad for mine.
CPC off i need to run level 4.
My is not getting warm at all.
Running 3.1 volt.
What settings do you use ?
You have -CO and i have -CG can it be that ?
Thanks to Ubermann's settings and some burnin, my pqi tccd (figure we can all use the settings so posting here) was at 300 in memtest (couldn't get there b4) for 1 STICK. :slobber:
Adding in the other sent things into the toilet  :brick:
Slot 2 mad every crappy, slot 3 made it so slot 1 was okay and slot 3 got all the errors. :brick:
Will go back to trying tonight....
Anyone have ideas?
Now i'm gonna ask a real silly question, how on earth do i disable 1T?
I don't have this cpc option in my bios i think, could it be?
Maybe it doesn't show cause i have a CO core?
It should work fine with a CO core, BigToe had a CO core as well.
But perhaps running drive strength lower than level 3 is only possible with a CG core?
I had to lap my XP-120, its looked flat but it was kinda curved in the middle.
Post as much as possible with bios settings or a64 tweaker when you make any progress.
I need help also =)
From eva2000 i learned that you should run bypass max "7" (it gives some boost)
And trrd, twr, twtr and trtw should be set to "2"
They are the last 4 setting before the Refresh Period of 4708.
Took me to 34 sec in superpi.
Uber,
Do you have a setting in bios called "CPC" or something?
If so, where can i find it?
I just don't believe i've overlooked it, been into bios a zillion times last days.

Try this if your not happy =)
"Write CAS latency : 5 bus clocks" Put it to "auto"

Dram drive strength :2
You can run cas 2.5 instead, its good up to 310FSB i think.
Gonna make a pic you can use if you have a printer when writing down bios settings, might be a bit more easy.
How come i don't have that?Quote:

I think if i can get that to level 2 or even 1 it will allow me to go higher.
It just doesn't post if i go lower than level 3.
clueless.
Tried Write Cas Latency "1" ?
Yes, no difference. :(
Genie-> RAM settings-> Under speed, above CAS.
Of course I have only CGs, so I don't know if there is any effect otherwise
Zeus since you have the CO (like me) there is no CPC option in the bios at all ;)
right - C0-stepping only uses 1T / CPC-on ;)
It always run cpc on then ?
Heres a pic you can print if your a friend of pen and paper like me =)
Right, that's what i thought, i've been looking all over for it.Quote:

Cause ib the CG version they changed the memory controler ;)

That's a nice piece of log Uber, i will print and use it. ;)
I had contact with OCZ and the told me i could RMA if i had the feeling something is wrong with this mem.
I'm gonna attach a probe to the heatspreader and run Prime yo see how hot it gets, i estimate 45-50C. not good.
If you want high mem speeds like Ubermann you have to score a CG.Quote:

The best i could boot into windows was 290 2,5-4-3-10 but very unstable.
SuperPi errored immediatly while it went trough memtest errorfree.
Did yours need a break-in period or did it this high from the start?
It was more stable when i had it in beginning.
Then something happend and 3.3Volt went to 3.07V reading and CPU temp went bad again.
After that its not the same =(
But putting the ram to 3.1 volt seems to do better.
I put 1.550 and 126% Volt on cpu to get it stable just below 2.4 gig.
http://w1.563.telia.com/~u56304934/oc/ocz%20/ my results.. i use a vdimm modded Epox 8kda3j.. seems like the board is the bottleneck.
Oh man, that's some voltage you're throwing at an aircooled CPU!! :eek:Quote:

The probe was only held in place with a piece of tape so contact was improper.
Still it read out 47,3C!!! on the heatspreader, sidepanel of the case was removed!
Room temp was 22C.
Not good at all if you ask me. :explode:
My is still not warm when i touch them, and nor is the XP-120.
I think i RMA board soon, but its still making good performance =(
Heres some settings thats stable at 310FSB to boot win and run superpi and sandra without crash.
Needs some tweaking.
I suggest to start the real stability test man ;)
Aka memtest86+ :)
Will do.
Uber,
Do have any idea how hot your RAM gets during memtest?
Mine ran a blistering 47,3C i think this is very hot for TCCD mem.
Keep in mind this was with a probe attached with a piece of tape onto the heaspreader, imagine the temps on the chips, they must run over 50C easily, i think close to 60C is an even more realistic guess.
This heat is holding back the oc on this mem i think, i found on several occasions that the first pass of memtest was errorfree but after that i didn't run errorfree any more.
Try a large 120mm fan on them(or two smaller ones)
You are going to gain at least 5mhz and even more if you actually have a problem with temps ;)
Finally broke through ddr600 barrier and beyond.

You have half divider.
At 320FSB you should get over 5000 in sandra.
There wasn't any divider set in BIOS.
Sorry to rain on your parade but your memory is at 2425/8=303MHz ;)Quote:

Does the mem run hot to the touch?
Would it have anything to do with the fact that it was uppoed in windows by clockgen from 300 to 323??
The memory is not hot to the touch due to a 80mmfan
vdimm is 2.8v in the 1st dim closest to the cpu.
I have not tested anything but sandra so it very well could not be prime stable.
Why would Sandra read it at only 303 if I have it set to 1:1 in the bios?
No, just set CPU/FSB ratio in bios (Genie part) to an integer number like 7 or so.
Can you please fill me in on my questions?
Read what they say. When u are using half multipliers like 6.5, 7.5, 8.5 etc u get a kind of divider even if u run it @ 1:1.
Those 323fsb 1:1 will be 303MHz on mems with the 7,5mult.
Use the full multis like 6, 7, 8 etc.
320fsb should be @ much closer to 5k mb/s.
OHH....ok I didn't know half multis did that
what is weird though is at 300fsb it read 303mhz in sandra and when I used clockgen to go to 323fsb Sandra was still reading 303mhz but the mb/s went from 4400 to 4700. Is that normal with a half multi also?
I did manage to prime an hour yesterday at 305:FSB and watching a movie and downloading movies at the same time without error.
But that was at 3-4-4 timing, i want cas 2.5.
Will try more when i have time.
I tried sandra and pi and such and touching the ram, but it never get "hot" to touch.Quote:

Its 3.1 volt, but dont understand why it does not get hot when Zeus ram get hot ?!
I think mine get hot just because it's a bad sample, i don't think TCCD are supposed to get hot, maybe with exceptional high voltage but not with just 2.7V! :mad:Quote:
