I don't think many people would be impressed since good EB sticks can easily do 280Mhz @ 3-2-2-10 with enough voltage, and A64 benefits more from lower latencies.

Still those are impressive for sticks. Feed them more voltage!

i dont think so, ive seen several people who couldnt reach 250 with high volts and 3-3-2 with 3700eb. that was not on a64 though... but even on a64 i think 280 3-2-2 is not the average.

250mhz on 3700EB is about the norm. What I'm hitting with an unmodded board at 2.9v.

It looks good to me. leave it to samsung to come out with some great chips.

Im consistently seeing 280fsb+ with the 3200Plat rev2 single channel 2.5-3-3-10 and in some cases 290+ same timings so i have a feeling some will see 300fsb with 2.5-3-3-10 single channel with the OCZ....

Thing is with tweaking 250 3-2-2-10 is faster than 275 ish 2.5-3-3-10 so you do need to keep those timings and shoot for the high fsb's.

and mini, its not about speed, its about memory bandwidth. to have memory that runs 1:1 with the fsb at 266 is nice, but intel chipsets have great memory dividers and dont need 1:1, what the P4 need is enough memory bandwidth, not high mhz speeds on the memory.

ddr2 is intel at its best again, trying to f00l customers once again with the mhz myth, this time not with cpu mhz but with memory mhz. :stick:

A the lower the multi the lower the mem bandwidth on A64

Set 200 htt and keep it their, then run sandra @ 7x..then 8x...then 9x.....ect ect. You'll notice a difference every multi bump

hm....kk, i'll check it with ClockGen and 250MHz.....will set all multis from 5x to 10x....w/ .5x-multis too :)

so, just w8 30mins, after i recorded my Minidisc ;)

What??? So you are saying that high Mhz doesnt mean high bandwidth??? Comeon...

Sandra gives 250Mhz 3-4-4-8 more than 200Mhz 2-2-2-5... Same goes for games...

Timings dont mean bandwidth... They mean response time... It gives very little bandwidth... While Mhz gives bandwidth... But DDR2 just sux...

blue, the memory badwith gets bigger because the cpu is clocked higher afaik. we are talking about buffered memory bandwidth wich depedns on the cpu speed (speed of the mxx and see units)

unbuffered there should be almost no difference in memory bandwidth with different multi and resulting different cpu speed.

and even if the 6600 have to do with the low multi, its not going to be 7500 with 250mhz higher cpu speed and a higher multi :P

and yes mini, memory bandwidth depends on the timings as well. correct me if im wrong.

And then @ 260htt

yah its because with a half multi, the mem divider at 1:1 goes to the next hight number, so with a 5.5 multi, the mem clock is CPU/6, which would make it (HTT x 5.5)/6 which is (5.5/6) times the HTT clock, thats lower than 6/6 or 5/5 which are 1

@ Blue078: could u try half-dividers? :)

for example: try 7.0 to 9.0 with all dividers :) (total 5 dividers) :)

When running your CPU@300x8.5, your Memory will run at 2550/9=283MHz!

You should compare mem bandwich with the same CPU clock ... I think the result of 13x200 5-2-2-2 would be much more then 11x200 ...

The memory controller inside A64´s works at the same speed as the cpu, so it´s normal a core speed increase, result in higher bandwidth, cause the mem controller will be able to deal with more bandwidth.

I tell : Max fréquency with 2-2-2 ... not 350 Mhz .. the max is OK :)
And same with 2.5-3-3 and 3-3-3 @ same Vdimm @ same CPU core fréquency :stick:

i bet, that is 2T.....estimated speed of DDR600 @ 1T is 4800MB/s (*2 because of DualChannel = "optimal" speed = 9600MB/s)

Sandra always gets about 88-90% of estimated speed @ 1T @ DualChannel....that would make ~8440MB/s - so, Onepagebook is getting that, you not.....

Is it possible to know the type of memory PCB used on these modules? Are they JEDEC reference design? link

He used CPU/8 which is not a 1/2 divider. It's probably slower than the other ddr600 benchmark b/c, like someone else mentioned, he might have been using a 2T command rate.

u cant really compare these rams unless the CPU speed is the same

if u compare between these two the mem speeds and timings are the same, but the one with higher cpu clocks beats the other one pretty badly:

I have those A-DATA DDR600 sticks for review

unfortunately on S754 they only up to 275-280 with 2 sticks; when using only 1 stick they do 300 CL2.5 4-3-8 without problem at 2.7-2.7v

But are you talking about testing on Intel or AMD systems??
I have an ASUS P4C800-Delux (Not E) Rev.2.00 with Intel i875P with ICH5.
Do you think I could run them in DualChannel @ 300MHz in 1:1 with my CPU (that goes fine @300MHz VCore Default)??????

It not quite is certainly good in the P4 platform performance....
This is TCCD DDR RAM has not been good to the P4 compatibility, each manufacturer TCCD DDR RAM is all same :)

TCCD doesn't work well on all P4 mobo's. The intel NB's all seem to max out at 270MHz. And even if your mem can do 300+, it will not happen on a P4 mobo...

This means that to run at 300MHz (or at least more then 270MHz) on Intel systems it should exist some DDR600 memory that do not use the TCCD Samsung chips... right?????

Other question.... is there any DDR600 that do not use the TCCD Samsung chips, or at least it will exist soon, maybe from other marks like OCZ or Kingstone????

In this case I'll wait until their existance.

i thought P4 northbridges aren't capable of doing 270+ memspeed, whatever mem you use...
