Good job, I knew it was only a matter of time til we saw you back on top. I'm wondering what macci is gonna do and see if he'lll try the 4.7's.
Grats on the double 2K1 and 2K3 first place positions.
:toast:
woohoo...good going Opp...
that Xt of yours sure knows how to fly :D
congrats :toast:
Congrats on the 1º place in 2003 and 2001 :toast:
haha, thats funny.
for awhile now, all we been hearing is that the 6800 ultra is the card to have for 3dmark2003.
seems you just proved that idea wrong ;)

Yes,
But I think Opp is right.
Now my Gainward is gone:frag:
The Gainward 1.6ns ram and the bios for watercooling was promissing, but burned down.....
Bios mod, and trotling, ---nightmare
Waiting for my new x800xt
And the results:D
But no upload:mad:
Its 939 and new Fx53 notice the speed:D
dual cascade -112c/ -120c
I have to turn of the cooling on the nVidia, and tweak...same as the 5900U ...
that is simply amazing cpu speed there Tom. Nice result btw. Will be good to see you in the top of the ORB.
btw. Tom do you have locks on your s.939?
Insane CPU clock Tom, running 3D too.
Is that a FX cpu or regular A64?
Fx-53 and corsair 4400:DQuote:

Tom, thats insane, 3.5GHz clocks! could the fx53 and s939 now be the better cpu for 2003 than those p4ee's? Howd you score in 2001 with those clocks? :slobber:
The 6800U burnet before I tried the 2001:(Quote:

In maj I manage to go 640 on the x800xt standard volt, and 756 "safe" voltmod, but It's was not my card.
I'll do the 2001 in a week or to with 3.5 ghz and new x800xt. :D
Awesome work by both Opp and Tom! :toast:
Tom,, hell of overclock on that FX chip:toast:
I think I will have one next week myself, looks fun.
OPP
incredible clocks!!!! -120C , respect man! :toast:
so is it possible to disable the thermal throttling of the gpu?
and how did the card die tom? too many volts?
congrats to you as well OPP! very nice! :toast: :)
what memory does your card have eric?
so when can tom upload his scores
Wow, how'd I know opp was gonna retake the crown for ATI ;)
749/662
OPP
  break 18k for us!!

Hehe Excellent :toast:
I need to try the 4.7 driver too (some day..) and see how much she'll do at 772 core :D

Well done TOpp, sorry, Opp :)
Looks like some good competition coming up again soon with 4.7's and new kit, cpu and gpu for folk. I wonder if lardarse is thinking of going Ati as well ?
Regards
Andy
Oh my goodness !!! Those are amazing scores there. Well done. I knew the 4.7's were good after testing the Beta's ... he he.
So nice, I'll have to milk the card somemore. Thirsting for the XT meanwhile.
Tom, what speeds did your 68 do and volts before she died?
simple incredible
also luckiest x800xt in the orb too because oppainter benching it
:toast:
Amazing scores
This makes me want to have a x800xt :D
tom, I assume your on socket 939 with the a8v? Nice stuff there
Damn some nice stuff over there, anyone gonna sponsor me a X800?
Tom
How about some details on that setup my friend.
What mobo, fsb, mem timings, nVidia clocks, all the specs:D.
Some good stuff to know.
Thanks,
OPP
grats opp keep up tthe good work
Wow, finally ATI releases drivers that enhance performance !! congrats Oppainter! no1 again.
i second that motionQuote:

and how did u get by the thermal throttling tom
and 3.5ghz 3d03
does that bios that xtremetheme did fix that problem?
great clocking guys, macci scored like 800 points less with higher core speed on his XT than OPP did, either he didnt have an EE, or the dirvers were at fault, someone wanna clarify for me???
great clocking guys
wow...the new cats must be really something
The 4.7's are worth 7-800 points over 4.6's as long as the cpu does not bottleneck the videocard.Quote:

Macci's runs are 4.5's which are probably about 500 points below 4.6's.
Below are no overclock on xt, 4.6 vs. 4.7 no cpu bottleneck.
Nice clocks OPP
First run of the day with the Prescott at ONLY 4.6Ghz
Ditto! Good job OPP!:toast:Quote:

first run of the day really?? Looks like the competition just got alot more interesting :D
Nice score Fugger!
OPP
nice fugger
Hijack Opps thread fr some more images
The XT gets hot up in this corner of the board and parts have been known to pop off or blow up here.
Here is a shot of temps and pressures in C.
The CPU (-99.9c)will drop 1 or 2 degrees during benching.
I am running 6 compressors right now but my mobo is not cooperating.
The thermal diode on the X800XT maxes out at -76c
Good GOD!
Fugger
What kind of card clocks are you getting?
OPP
750/647
Ill incease my gpu core voltage up from 1.69v when I break down and switch mobo's
Its a flawless 750/647
Im trying to catch you with a Prescott!
Very nice clocks and scores fug, but get some insultation there!! ;)
Nice Fugger, might have to start a new thread if you drop in an EE.
damn that insane speed there.
:toast:
Very nice score with a Prescott FUGGER , any plans on dropping an EE in there when you change boards. 6 compressors LOL :)
Wonder what macci is doing this weekend ?
Is it me or has 3dmark03 started to come of age finally ? Still wish there were high and low tests though.
Good going Opp and Fugger.
Regards
Andy
fugger, thats an amazing score with a prescott!!!..considering that chip is a third of the price of an EE
The speed was 610/1340 at 3.5Ghz. Only 2 run then it died.Quote:

Tom, what speeds did your 68 do and volts before she died?
It was a spark around the heatsink in front of the 2 power slot.
I think the Gainward watercooling bios, are better to avoid trottling, or the cascade was so cold, that it was going fine.
I think it can handle 1.80volt or more, it was not the GPU that died.Quote:

No big secret, Asus A8v 939 Mob
Corsair dual 4400 ram (see you used OCZ for high FSB)
timings still bad cas 2.5 - etc. working at it.
and of course, still the "power" cascade you now -
:toast:
Lardarse, does thermal throttling issue on Geforce 6800 ultra hurt your attempts on re-claiming top spot?
Sick clocks, sick scores.
Fix comp today and bench w000t!
In a PM lard said he had the throttling issue "under control"
maybe Lardarse found a way to disable throttling on NV40. he' s gonna need to. but , Lardarse is the only person with the capability to match Oppainter, and Fugger with a Nvidia Geforce 6800 ultra. so, the odds of Nvidia reclaiming the crown is almost zero to nill. OC-rookie, CCW, and a few others i forgot to mention, my apologies. but Lardarse seems to be the only elite overclocker in possesion of NV40. which i find surprising. I was Hoping Hiwayman to jump into the mix as well, but he's on vacation.
I have one question, witch card do u think going too own the ORB now then the new cards have come?
The same one that already owns it until the next good card comes out. This is always the case.
Im trying to catch up ;) Give me a secondQuote:

I still much prefer 2001 cause of that, also its much more cpu intensive. 2003 isnt and this takes the fun out of having an uber cpu when any old cpu can get within a few 100 marks away. my consoldence for any one a victim of a dead card, I thought my ti4200 had died too but it was the weak psu
3dmark03 has finally come of age me thinks. especially with SLI NV40 coming dual PCIe technology. 20k has already been broken.
I cant really understand what are the diferences of the X800XT and the X800XT PE i see many like that on ebay but dont know the diference anybody know anything?
wonder what that would score in 2001 or at least the insane nature fps :slobber:Quote:

lol, one 6800 ultra scores about 20k+ in 3dmark2001 with a P4 3.2c. i'm not quite sure how much 2 vcards will do. Good question. it's at least 77% faster.Quote:

Dual Xeon 3.40 should do the trick, it's the only one available anyways with 2 PCIe slots. maybe 40k lol:eek: :D
hmmm I think 40k would take something like a p4ee at 4.5GHz or a 2.8GHz a64 minimum even with dual 6800u's because only nature isnt cpu limited with todays high end cards. Oppainter himself only gained 1500 marks with his x800xt over Jason's x800pro and both have the same hardware. looking at the compare, only nature had any real increase. there is a much smaller but noticable increase in drag low. nothing else in any other tests. it may not be till we see 90nm a64s at over 4GHz do we begin to see the x800 and 6800u cards show increases in tests other than nature with gpu overclocks
I will break 40k next weekend!!Quote:

The difference is that the X800 XT PE actually exists and the X800 XT does not. There is no such thing as a non-PE XT.Quote:

Also, only 1% of the auctions on eBay for X800 XTs are auctions for cards in hand. The rest are criminals advertising what they supposedly have on order, and which supposedly will be shipped in two to four weeks, but THEY DON'T REALLY HAVE THEM.
Even a 9800XT + 3.2c can score almost 20k stock...the 6800U is a ways ahead.Quote:

If it will be broken with the current cards, I believe it will be an x800xt PE.Quote:

If I had said that youd break 40k, people would flame or critisize me for my "predictions" but comming from you is a good estimate and goal. We have no doubt about this, about time 40k is broken ;) I am assuming it involves s939, fx53, x800xt and something like 266x13=3.46GHz with bh5 ram. Of course I could be a little off and the gpu could very well be a 6800 ultra :D Do you wish to give any of us hints whats to come? Do you feel that 40k is a sure thing or something that could be a "maybe" with the possibility of falling 200-300 short. oh and whats your best x800xt clocks as of now
I'm sure he means the X800 XT PE. The 6800U doesn't do that well on 2k1 right now, although drivers may change that later.Quote:

GeForce...
What do you expect? Do you really think people should take your comments as if they were coming from OPP? Who do you think you are, Moses???:ROTF:
And about the 40k thing? WTH do you mean it's about time? It hasn't been THAT long since 30k and 35k went down. You're kinda nutty. Also, with all do respect to OPP's abilities it isn't going to be a walk in the park from what I've seen. He may have been a little quick on the draw, but we'll see.
Then again, I have not known OPP to be the type to make predictions like that without something to back them up, so...
Good luck OPP!:toast:
Very nice scores made by both Opp & Fugger! Realy amazing guys!
I saw good idea somewhere here, "get 18K for us" or something in this way! :D
Didn't use any really big words in my post yet you still misunderstood. Please read again.;)Quote:

Yeah, 34,886 & 325.7fps Nature on P4EE is really BAD.
That depends on how you keep score. When you get into the mid 30 thousands the difference between 34.9k and 36.8k is pretty huge. The problem is there are almost no 6800U benches beside the one you referred to which is an engineering sample.Quote:

Also applies to the x800XT ;)
They are neck and neck, just look at people's x800 benches.
I've seen them tested and the XT is faster in 2k1 with the current drivers. This could change any second, but right now the data says the 6800 Ultra is faster in 2k3 and the XT in 2k1.;)
I suggest you read StormPC's post a third time unrealneo.. the data is just not sinking in.
40k?? Darn....
I would sure as hell like to see some 2xX800XT-PE action... Kick ass ;o)
I think hes gonna attempt 40k on ONE x800xt. two of them would almost double his 335 nature gaining him an easy 6k putting him at 43k already ;)
And I think aliens are stealing my luggage!:DQuote:

But you can try ;)
And thats what we are all hopeing for :P
Is it a 939 issue or did something blow ?
Regards
Andy
I'm guessing that its just a system speed issue. 40k would require so brutal speeds (CPU/RAM/VIDEO) that it just cannot be reached quite yet. But the day will come ;)
It's definitely a 939 issue (and things are blowing) in that there seems to be a problem for many, but we don't know if it's the chips or the motherboards (or both) at this time. Much more testing needs to be done.Quote:

If you want a reliable system and don't plan on extreme overclocking the 939 is probably fine, but there really doesn't seem to be that big a difference between 939 and 754 performance wise, and for extreme stuff the 940 and 754 stuff seems to handle the high volts better. One thing is for sure, S939 has been a bit of a rocky road for even the best overclockers to navigate.:(
