Ok I know most of you dun have this board, nor want it, but lets see if we can figure out how to do it.
I'm going to assume they probably recycled the design from the A7V8X so I'll bet we can start from there.

Post some pics of the board please.
Lemme get some batts for my digital camera and I'll upload em.
Here's a few pics. My camera sucks so I labelled what I could read off of each of the ICs. One not shown is lower on the board I have an arrow pointing to it.

How about a couple pics taken from a farther distance so we can see the whole board?
I ain't taking any more pics :P

I'll make an edited version of this one in a minute.
NM I'm not. See that IC between in the bottom middle of the board? Up and left of the IDE connectors. That's LM324D.
large IC top middle next to the northbridge heatsink and left of the mosfets.. whats that one?
Gigabit lan Controller
please post high resolution & clear picture
clear picture + my camera don't exactly mix, I'll probably end up RMA'ing it though, because it's still not cold booting properly.
Before I RMA it I'll take some pics of it at work with the good camera.
your mobo have cold booting problem???????? it's very strange.... today i have supered the 210fsb limits with no problem...... mah..... it's very strange...... i have notice that this mobo is very "rompi balle" (italian expression!) whit the ram setting... control the ram setting and start a memtest to view if the ram have any problems
Mine doesn't like my double sided BH5 ;)
I sent an RMA request for my board now. The onboard sound was popping and it still has cold boot issues. Maybe the one I get back will do 250mhz :D
BTW the IC between the southbridge and the memory slots is the clock generator ICS9488xxx
Here's some clearer pics.
Near the southbridge.
Around the socket.
Between the PSU connector, and RAM.
Left edge of the board, near AGP.
Left of the socket.
Around the northbridge.
Between the southbridge and IDE/RAM.
curious have they updated the max FSB of this board from 227???
does it OC upto 227 without the mods??
got a couple of KT880 boards coming out
the MSI
SOYO and the Asus
atm only the ASUS has a confirmed PCI lock
not sure abt the other two :(
I've noticed something very weird...
With setfsb i can change my fsb...but there's something wrong about the fixes...
I thing it work till the maximum fsb we can set by bios...
When i try to go up...i see the agp value changing...
Infact after few second Vpu recover comes up!
So i think we can keep agp fix only with 227Mhz fsb...above..no fixes..
i suppose...!!
cya
Kam
could be that the agp values are calculated from the fsb :?
what does the agp show when giong from 200 till 212
ontopic,
does the dirty punk v-dim work on this board
my corsair bh5 eats volts :banana3:
btw it is 18.00 hour @ this side of the world :hehe:
hi,
i've got an a7v880 rev 1.02, it use an LM324 for the vdimm, for the mod use the input 3- (pin9) to the GND, use an 50k pot (multiturn!) set it to 50k for start.
important, i've got some odd thing with the vdimm mod and my 9700p with 3.3v
bios cheksum error... but no prob with 3.1v (max 240 dc 1-1 2226), with an old nvidia gf2 mx 400, no prob with 3.3v, but it's the same as 3.1v (stock chipset cooling) , maxed out @270 400/266 same cooling.
i'm really septic about the "lock" with my 9700p and 250 fsb no go, with my gf2mx400 no prob, up to 270. the clock generator(ics94228) seems not supported any "lock" only 6/2/1 divider, hum perhaps i'm wrong ???
i'm using the 1009 bios, the mb is already sold
there is another LM324 near the dimms, it is used for the vagp i think.
another thing, with the ratio 400/400 and 200fsb and 1.5 vagp no boot (bios),
with 1.8v no prob, the vagp is used for the v-northbridge and the v-southbridge ? i think yes
voila, and sorry for my poor english :P
