I'd like to extend a special thanks to Stangman as his guide on Fastlanehw.com totally hooked me up. Kudos to a very well-written guide.

Lil' closeup of mah work...
Looks nice and clean. Good job!
question is. does it work or are those pretty pics of a card now deceased?
lol ...
good work there :) now see what she can do ... :P
A picture is worth a thousand words... ;)
Still pushing it!
Would that guide you posted work on an XT PCB?
Very neat. :) Makes me wonder why I've got two 6" lenghs of wire hanging of my card. :s
TDF.
What heatsink did you put on the GPU? Nice job!!!
what did your card do stock, and what cooling do you have now? I am coinsidering trying the gpu mod again. I borked my last card, but not sure if it was the swiftec mcw50 mounts that bent the pcb, and maybe cracked a trace. The gpu mod had owrked for a few days before I tired to put the block on.
I really needed the gpu mod on my old card cause on air it would only do 415/398. I can do 470/380 on water right now with my new card, but more would always be nice. Especially on the ram.
I'll answer your questions and then some! As I've been hitting up the forums with some picture goodness lately, I'll direct you to my "How to add a Honkin' big heatsink thread:Quote:

1. Stock before HSF and vmods it ran 420/350.
2. For cooling I'm running an Alpha PAL 6035 that I machined to fit.
3. Zero cooling on mem for now
There you go Likwid! A concise answer...:toast:
Oh yeah...this thing just keeps on climbing like a homesick angel!
nice n clean
:toast:
Guys i have got a simple question.I have just checked my voltages on my stock card and i came up with 1,7v for the gpu and 2,69v for the memory. Is it bad that the mem is that low or a good sign? The max on my core is 465 and the memory maxes out at about 370.If i were going to do the vmod how much couuld i possibly gain through it? Btw the card is cooled with a maze4 vbock.:)
weeee another coool vmod *thumbsup*
heres mine. About the same setup as yours :D

How about posting some benchmarks with the stock clocks and the clocks you're getting now?
Nice mod BTW, very clean....
nice work Hollywood :)
Hmmm, I think I am going to mod mine pretty soon, since it does not look too bad. Also, does anyone know of something good to clean off the PCB with? I still have some residue on the back of my card that I want to clean off next time I take the card out...
rubbing alcohol? Thats what i use but i dont know what you are trying to clean off. Mine was just for some dust and stuff.
Nice :D
Wonder if one could do something similar to my GeForec 5900U
would be interresting
:)
Very nice job,
Tidy and clean,
Will be doing mine as well in a bit. Good luck with your card.
:toast:
Anything stronger than rubbing alcohol that anybody knows of? This is a liitle corrosion left over from some condensation that sat on the card for a few days:eek:Quote:

I use 99% Isopropyl Acohol, that stuff will clean anything, comes in handy for all kinds of things.
Cool, thanks
Mineral Spirits followed by Isopropyl alcohol works wonders as well.
Hey Hollywood did you get that XT yet?
Very nice. Yours came out better than the guy in the article you linked too. :toast:
"The guy" lol... he did reply to the thread. Thats not very nice :toast:
Nice mods. Looks like there are solder points for both mods. Thats nice. I been practicing and going between pins is rough. I like how the poster grounded them like that as well. I hope mine come out like that.
does that card do a max OC of 465/378 core/mem? you SHOULD put some mem sinks on ur card ...i know many have said not to, but they do help.
my UNmodded 9800 pro does 472/402 core/mem at the moment (but with WC), i think i can squeeze a few more mhz out of her at a later date. so ur modded one shud do a few more mhz, considering ur cooling.
my 9800 on stock does 420 max with WC on it ... so (i hope) this week some mods :)Quote:
