G.SKILL DDR4 Testing Room

Lets start to test some DDR4 G.SKILL memory here, i got the 3000 16GB kit Single ranked MFR.
The new X99 platform overclocking is way different than old once, that why i found it very very funny to play,
i wanted to prepare a DDR4 guide but NO NEED since this guide is just more than complete.

Cl12 and 13 all air , cl11 and the rest cpu under cold memory air.
The reason to use ln2 on cpu is because going higher on nb frequency and also its safe to give high vdimm.

Unless you run tWCL 8 or lower, CL8 is CL12 "for real" :)

Slower than cl12 lol twcl is 9 here.

Yes, it went from 225 to 400 euros in Germany and from $330 to $500 in the US.
G.Skill must have sent too many samples ("everyone" has got one or two) so now they need retail customers to compensate for that :D

almost dubbled here in .be too !! biggest price jump here was from 294 -> 501€ !

3200c16 set I have is much better though, same settings .100mV lower

Not everyone,for some people "there is no stock" :D

Best set I have was the first retail kit I bought, and I got lucky and only paid $329.99 before the pillaging occurred. And this first batch retail kit is better than any of the samples.

The key to getting good memory is buying launch sticks, always the best ic's imho.

Nice kit what voltage for 3000 c14?

That was 1.41 vDIMM.
I tried 10 minutes to boot ? 1500 CL12 allowing myself to put till 1.7 along with 1.35 vCache but couldn't get it, even by disabling the DRAM Swizzling Bit andreducing CPU cache to its minimum.

This is quiet the best i can do at the moment, before i put it under ln?. Under water-cooling yet

I have the same kit and i am stuck exactly like you .. can do CL 13 but not 12.. and everyone pretty much can do Cl12 .. i tried till 1.55vdimm
How did you manage the Cl12 ? what settings did you change ?

I didn't do much more than what is shown on my screen. I didn't touched the DRAM Swizzling Bit.

Try 1,57vDIMM, unlike on that screen it works @ 1.57 :)
