Looks awesome:clap:, but it also looks like a recipe for a nice clog. Unless perhaps the blocks & rads are less restrictive, like a DD MC-TDX Block and a XSPC rad.
It should be fine as the pre-mix is a bit more than i normally use and this aids in keeping the partials separate. The only way to find out is to hand it over though for testing in his loop for long term effectiveness and see if it does block. As long as the partials are moving i don't see a problem but if its going in a micro jet block it may block up the ports as these are not nano partials.
This is the first time this mix will be going to some one other than me so we can see how it goes.
I jizzed.... tis smexy XD
Very cool.
Looks geat! Your vid made me miss the 80's though. Good sound track pick.
blame ST for that Steve & Ayd haha.
Once i get another system up and running ill test it out in that and see how things go.
Ive got silver, gold, blue and a few other colours to test as well.
Very nice... I can't wait to see what this looks like in a loop.
Pump arrived 1/2 hour ago so no messing straight on with Pump ware and tear testing ...

excuse my res its a bit messy pmsl ....
mlwood37: does your test loop include some of top cpu blocks of today? rad, pump .. most gunk imho can be got on highly concentrated flow under jetplate of such blocks, so probably would be nice for testing worst case scenario. And those clearly visible particles .. somehow make me cautious.
not at the moment as ive ran out of PC's to test this on. Im awaiting a block to arrive in the post which hasn't turned up yet to add to this.
The particles are quite small on this liquid how ever were looking at even smaller size. As said all ready that this would not be for a restrictive loop
and is not a performance liquid. Its a modding / looks only liquid for "Show" pc's. It will be fully tested on various blocks over the coming months to see what will happen. What you see here is a very early liquid made up by request for some one.Quote:
if its going in a micro jet block it may block up the port
1 thing i have all ready noticed is that if your pump is running at full speed you do not get as good effect. All so its important to direct you lighting correctly so that it shows up. In normal light you can see some movement but not much how ever with bright light the reflective nature is 100 fold better.
Oky here we go .... Now go grab your socks or is it some thing else...... i can never remember ..
btw this is a revised mix.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C289T5dGTr0
 OMFG That's next level! Very nice. But yes I wan't to know how well behaved it is with a block. Oh and I wan't your res!!!!!
Hardcore! :D
A quick one
A massive thank you to http://www.specialtech.co.uk/ Esp Steve and AYD.
They are supplying me with a CPU block and Pump so that we can get this tested better and quicker.
seriously Ayd rocks and is all ways offering to help me push the development of my liquids more.
thank you.
Mick
that is a limited edition res - I have one as well but there were only a handful made
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMBDVrU-BLI
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGoyOkYXPhs
Its just a shame ive hammered it so much. That res has been the best one i have ever had tbh and its been though hell and high water with me and still come out on top.
mind you its a iTs A sUpRiSe ShOw.... pmsl
Holy #@$%#$^$#^&&!!!!!!!!!

right thks to http://www.specialtech.co.uk/ they supplied me with a EK LT block today so i can run testing on restrictive blocks. Any how as suspected its a no goer how ever all is not failed. The particles i am using are tiny but not small enough so ill take it a few steps further. Been in contact with the manufacturer (1 hour ago) and there going to send me some much smaller versions that should be able to pass though the blocks easily. All so the new ones have been coated so they disperse better. :)
I wait till they turn up and continue delving this idea.
You really need something with an injection plate to test for gunking Mick. I'm not sure the LTX would be as affected.
Im checking for it going though the actual narrow channels. I know this will never work on a injection plate system that is not my aim for this liquid. The aim for this is to have a liquid for show, not performance enhancing ability and is a liquid especially made with modding in mind. It ofc will still need to work like any normal pre-mixed liquid as in that it will remove heat from the Block to the Rad but wont be sold with any false illusions that it is a performance liquid.
The idea is this liquid is like a Lava lamp in your room. they hardly give off any light but they do look good ;).
If we do mange to get this working and running fine it will be sold with some very clear warning's of what it will work with and what you can expect. We will also test to see what it doesn't work with so it may be a costly exercise in me getting more blocks from different makers and testing them out.
ill keep you all posted any way !!!!
The aim is for it not to clog up you loop lol. I don't test, adjust, re test, adjust for now reason.
More people watercool for the looks than performance, honestly. I can remember someone asking about a fluid like this eight years ago. So people obviously want this.
When this liquid is fully up and running. I will be adding a peace of what it does work with and what it doesn't or hasn't been tested on.
Im trying to get different blocks from makers so that we can give the end user a full working list on what it has been tested on so that the user will know.
It has all ready taken a lot of effort to get this far with it.
Like i all ways say and this is quite simple and the same goes with all our products "if you don't like it, then don't buy it!"
Well I think it looks great, and I can definitely see a place for it in one of my future builds if all the testing goes well!
Oky Not fully tested but working on it like mad.
70nm Pearlesnt Premixed Liquid - 70nm should stop blocking in Injection plate systems how ever just got the EK block that ST kindly donated for testing. The partial size is 70nm to 150nm .. So yeh its a nano liquid but it wont be called that when finished.....

I have one or two of those split reservoirs still. Trade?
whoa, i really love that blue liquid you got there... that would look stunning in a full build!
That blue stuff looks fantastic.
Well done on this.
It looks fantastic.
Fantastic!
after seeing this i was going to ask you about a blue version.
!~!
as a side question, is there any way you could get a shot of what that looks like, but through a much thinner res? i've a case idea i'm working on and need a blue/white colored water for it. i will more than likely end up using LED's behind it to light it up, so the white isn't something outstandingly needed. but the blue is.
long story short, think of a stargate, the 'event horizon'.
how would that blue look in that?
make sense?
First off you will need to light this coming from the direction your looking. If you light it from behind you wont get the full effect. You can see the effect in the tubing as well depending on the light. So a smaller res would be fine. How ever 1 thing to consider with this fluid is its movement. The faster the flow the more erratic the looks. The slower the flow the more subtle the looks. Now this isnt a strong pearl look its very light as if we use to much pearl it will be to much for the system.
All so a thing to note you will get fall out when the system is off and the pearl will settle (due to gravity). How ever they are that small that as soon as water is flowing again the pearl instantly get moved around again. They don't clump or stick together as there is a coating on them preventing this plus the fact that the pre-mixed liquid all so prevents this.
The nm range in the blue 25nm to 125nm with the 25nm giving the brightest look and the 125nm giving a shimmering effect. If we just used 70nm it wouldn't look as effective so this has a much wider scope and range.
Ive been testing Mayhems Deep Purple + silver tonight and that gives out standing results. Ive still got many more colours to run though yet though with nearly 5 different shades of each colour so i need to perfect the correct colour match. All so i need to Lessen how much pearl i need as this has to be bought in 5kg lots and its not the cheapest stuff you can buy. What il consider first though is doing a base release range then ill consider doing more complex colours later on with different effects.
What does it do with black?
Black and silver is probably the best looking liquid so far and it creates silver swirls in the black sort of reminds me of barbarella type of retro effect... Btw its more very deep purple + sliver than black.

that is fraking awesome looking!
This really is awesome when i saw the blue one i loved it, but when i saw the purple one i was in a trance
I could certainly use this in Echo. Just thought I finished it, but looks like there's one more thing to add. :-)
wow! this is some amazing stuff!
Put me down for a bottle of the black. I have a GPU only loop it'll go great in. (EK FC470, MCP 35something or other, Swiftech MCR220, Koolance 401x2)
If a dark green looks that good, I'll go for it and throw it on my CPU loop and get new clear tubing. CPU loop is a Kryos though... Well, I can still guinea pig the GPU stuff anywho.
Just pulled apart the EK block and not i shred of blocking very happy. Quickly put it under the microscope as well and again no sign of blocking but hell its sparkly.
A quick shot of what you may see what good lighting, Clear tubing and a clear res .... How ever Good lighting is a must.
Money shots as there called. These are a bit fake really because the camera is capturing it mid action. Ill get a vid up later on when i have the time and you'll see it better....

http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/5891/dscf8257l.jpg
Name could be "Mayhems Galaxy range" !!!!! Maybe from what you guys have all ready said. dunno might have to think of some thing .....
I reckon with a large tube res the effect will be more prominent ... i dont think a bay res will do it as much just but i don't have one so cannot test that.
It's excellent work, and I'm sure you're getting more responses like mine on other forums.
PM me when you get ready to send this stuff out. I'm serious, I want at least a bottle of the black.
Holy Santa Claus $hit.... If you don't sell me a bottle of that black & silver I'm gonna pee your pants..:D
Looks incredible my friend! I have a build waiting for it..
Where do you live?
I NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED the black version now.
This stuff looks incredible.
Now I know this stuff is meant for looks over performance, but any idea how much of an increase in temperatures would we see over plain old distilled?
Oh wow! It keeps getting better. I thought the blue looked good, but the black is even better! No chance of a blood/deep red is there?
Testing for temps and comparison to plain old Mayhems Ultra Pure H20 will begin once the parts from www.phobya.com arrive.
This will be ongoing tests for a couple of months though so we can check every thing is fine.
Please may i request no more PM's asking for this. Its not for sale, its not for swaps, there is no ETA or any thing till tests are complete. I will not rush this out until im 101% happy it works with out any problems.
If you would some thing for free then join my facebook group for a chance to win some thing.
Mick :)
aww shucks! Does look great though, keep up the good work:up:
Any time frame for release of the black?
Oky new vid.
Taken a lot of messing this. Cracked the mix tonight and perfected it. Hardly any drop out. Can run the pump right down to 50 ltr per hour right up to 400 Ltr and the mix wont mess up. We now can see it in the tubing properly as i intended. The flow is a lot smoother. How ever the viscosity has gone up.
Will need to run tests to get full details of temps and every thing.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mDdcTbVJv4
If you manage to get a straight up pearlescent silver, I will be all over it. Even if it stains my new DD Monsoons. I'm also lovin the c64 demo scene type music for the background. \m/ ^_^ \m/
You mean Jean Michel Jarre not c64 demo ,,,
pearl coolant going out to independent tester this week.
some hardware should be arriving soon as well fo me to run temp loads, and some other tests as well.
There is more women coming onto the water cooling scene and its all ways said there is nothing for them ...
well after 4 bloody hours to get this right........
If i do this colour it will be a limited run that's for dammed sure.
http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/3489/dscf8311.jpg
and yes its UV active but have you tried filming or taking pics in UV light before. Its has to be seen to be believed and no amount of pics make it look as good as it is.
Any reason why it'd be limited run?
Too much trouble?
-PB
I'm eagerly awaiting availability of the black, I wonder what a dark green would look like (not a radioactive, more like jade than chartreuse...)
Don't suppose this stuff is UV reactive?
The pink is.
You can all ways make it UV active by adding in our dye range how ever im concentrating on making this work first lol. UV is the least of problems.
We will be releasing a clear version that you can colour your self and use any of range of dyes (or any other maker for that fact) to make you very own mix. You wont need any biocide or inhibitor as this has it all. The liquid should last approx 2 years how ever if using dyes then a change out time should be as per normal.
O man, in for the clear version as long as it doesn't have a monster affect on cooling performance.
you should post a video of a black and silver loop :)
Kayin: you are full of BS. we all know you will publicly say you want black but actually will buy up all the pink. you can lie to your friends and I will lie to mine but lets not lie to each-other now
vapor: break out your sarcasm detector before you dish out bans please ;) LOL
I so seriously needed a laugh today-you really have no idea. But seriously, weren't you holding out for purple?
How do i do a poll on here. I would like to gauge what colours people would like. Bit of market research.
e.g pole would be multi pick (e.g pick 2 colours)
Clear + Silver
Clear + RBS
Red + Silver
Red + Red
Blue + Silver
Blue + Blue
Purple + Silver
Purple + RBS
Pink + Silver
Green + Silver
Not Interested
RBS = Red , Blue Silver speckle as in purple pictured on this post. The Initial first lot if this gets to production will only be 3 to 4 colours to start with.
My vote would be for Clear + silver. Then blue + RBS.
Green and silver, for my own sinister purposes. Also, did you ever figure out DB's pink with purple sparkles? His Pinkie Pie mod could really use it. For your wife my foot, we all know that's gonna be your new daily driver.
Oky the Product range has been named and so has some of the colours.
We will be calling it the "Mayhem's Aurora" range of coolants.
Eddy @ EK are sending me some blocks to test the liquids on there range to see if it effects it them any way. This is excellent news as we can give you lot a good idea of what the effects may be from using these liquids. E.g ware and tear.
I did send a email to XSPC and Danger Den how ever they failed to respond so i wont be testing any thing from them and we can only recommend what we test which is a shame. Its a bit of a bummer as well as i just released XSPC is only 10 min up the road from me.
Any way another vid as per request
Mayhem's Aurora Galaxy - Galaxy is a mix of Deep Purple, Red, Blue and silver. It will produce a range in between these colours.

MAYHEM'S AURORA COOLANTS
Mayhem's 'Aurora'' range of liquids are perfect for a myriad of differing computer enthusiasts. The liquid reflects light back in a plethora of swirls and differs greatly from anything currently available. A coolant that is not only striking to view inside a computer system, but it is a fluid that will entice the consumer with it's never ending patterns of light that cascade throughout.

The effect is so dreamy. Great Job Mick!
I'll take a bottle of the Galaxy. Can the Supernova be dyed any color? If so, I'd want a bottle of it, otherwise I'll have to figure something out for a dark green.
PM me with how to get this in the US. I will pay a "have it first" premium just to get it for my current project.
If it comes in red later, I'll replace the fluid in my mini-ITX system too.
I cant wait to see this stuff flowing through a full cover GPU block with acrylic top!
Depends on how fast I get it when my pics of that will go up.
Liquid been running 2 weeks in this block pulled apart for checking for any sign of build up.

This is the EK supreme block.
Allso some very good news.
XSPC are sending me a RASA kit for testing :)
Now I have to get the Supernova. I honeslty never thought that I would go the color thing again after the UV green stuff a few years ago. But I simply must have it. Hopefully this will be ready for sale by the holidays.
www.phobya.com has sent me some gear do we can expand the testing. This is there Phobya Balancer in action and its very good. It creates a mega Back wash effect. They all so kindly supplied me a Phobya G-Changer 240 and Phobya Water block with i have just added in there for testing.

The Supernova shows a lot of promise. Cant wait to see it with more silvery "pearlessence".
oh well

So im no longer goona now mess with the colouring -
I have the final five colours which im happy with. I know some people would like Red but im not happy with it so until its perfected which it is not ill keep with what works best. I wont release any thing i think is not up to standard.

All we need now is testing and results ....
I'm not sure if I like that tone of green. In all honesty it looks like baby crap :p
Personally I'd like it a bit greener, it seems a little blue and a little brighter. In fact a lime green would be amazing with the shimmers.
if you saw it in the flesh you may say some thing different. Its taken over 4 weeks to produce these 5 colours and i have a very high standard and if doesn't make me smile than it aint gonna be made. Don't forget there is a clear version which any user can make there own colour liquid with.
I can only give you the tools, you need to create the master peace.
That video of the Galaxy purple is freakin awesome
I really like the green one and the clear one is neat, but the galaxy purple is the best :)
But i agree with Crazynutz lets see the galaxy purple in a GPU full block with acrylic top.
Keep up the good work
Just awaiting for EK's gear to turn up and then i can show it. im supposed to be getting old and new blocks for testing and show casing.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcGc6zM8txk
This looks very good !
The only bad thing is that im stopping WCing and going with a more "normal" build. ( 2k rig since im not anymore gaming and playing with it that much )
Keep your good work Mayhem !
Some Common Questions and Answers.
Does the Aurora range of liquids use metal in the mixture?
The pearlescent pigments used within the Aurora range of liquids contain no metals in the formula.
Will i need a biocide or Inhibitor?
The Aurora range already contains biocides and inhibitor’s and will not require them. The liquids in theory will last up to 3 years.
Will the Pigments in the Aurora Range damage my system?
The pearlescent pigments used in the mixture should not cause any damage to Metal, Plating, Plastics or seals with in a normal water cooling loop.
Do the Pigments in the Aurora Range settle out of the mixture?
Yes they do and this is normal. When left for a few hours the larger particles tend to fall with gravity and settle in the loop. This is very normal and cannot be avoided. We can make the ratio of our mixture stronger and change the viscosity how ever under heavy testing we found the mixture we used is a good trade off between heat dissipation and viscosity. The particles are easily picked up and moved around the system when you pump is turned back on.
Will the Pigments in the Aurora Range block my restricted blocks?
This is a question we are working on at the moment and we will produce a list of working block manufactures that we find compatible with our liquids. However saying that, so far in testing we have found no evidence of blocking what so ever and no evidence of any biomass build up in our fluids. The particles we use over time will get smaller due to the forces they are put under in a water cooling loop. The particles are very delicate and are in the 40 to 120nm (nano) range. However the larger particles 40nm to 80mn when used in restrictive blocks tend to end up like the 120nm particles. We use a special vegetable based formula in these liquids and this helps the partials’ not stick together (clump or create a biomass or what is commonly known in the water cooling community as gunking).
Will the Aurora Range stain my system?
Yes they will if left in your system for a very long period time. This is a common problem with any liquid that use dyes and is a unavoidable fact of liquid that contain dye. To reduce the risk of dying any system we recommend you change out you liquids every 6 to 9 months. This is not a marketing gimmick to make you buy more liquids but over our long term testing of “Mayhem dye range” we found this to be the best compromise to stop the staining effect from happening. However if you system does get stained there are ways to remove the staining.
Are temperatures affected by the liquid?
The short answer to this question is yes. In testing we found due to the viscosity of the liquid the temperatures may increase from 2 to 5c (this is in comparison to Mayhems Ultra Pure H20) depending on your set up. We are still working on getting this information correct and are working with independent testers so that we can gather and correlate as much information together possible. This will give you a fair understanding on what temperature difference you may see.
Will this Void the warranty on my pump?
I see no reason why this will void any warranty on any system as the viscosity is within the range and spec's of pumps. However it is down to the manufacture of any particular pump and we cannot confirm this. I will however contact the manufacture of all the gear we test and ask them personally once testing is complete.
Does “block maker name” work with your liquids?
We are working with many companies to gather as much information on different blocks and configurations. However some companies we have approached have not responded to our request of getting a sample’s for testing. We cannot cover every block or configuration but we will do our best to get as close as possible answer and will produce a list of tested and working blocks and configurations that we have tested and found to work.
Companies whom have responded and are providing us equipment for testing are
www.Phobya.com
www.ekwaterblocks.com
www.dangerden.com
www.xspc.biz
Any Company is welcome to contact us and send us a sample of their product for testing.
Can i have a sample for my rig?
No you cannot! We will not accept bribes of any manner. These liquids are currently in development and until they are fully tested are not available to the public
.
Were can i get your pigments or how is you liquid made or what’s in them?
Do you have a ETA?
No. We are not in a rush to get this product to market.
Do you have a price for Aurora range?
We will let you know when we are ready to release it.
Will your shop have these liquids in stock when ready?
No we will not be selling thee liquids though our shop. We will only be selling these liquids though re-sellers. We only have limited re-sellers in varying territories and we will not flood the market with our products. We feel that flooding the market does no one any good. We are a none profit business so to us we can do this with out any concerns. Eventually when we have enough re-sellers we will be changing our site to a products only site.
Are you going to do a Orange, Red, Green, Gold ect Version
I need to first get a base range created and then we can progress further. All product's that Mayhem's makes, sells and release are made by just 1 person. This includes all the packing, bottling, liquids, dyes, labels, web site, ordering and every thing else. Nothing is farmed off to a different company its all done in house. With that in mind we will be looking at other colours how ever it may be limited to just a few with clear versions so you can do them your self.
I hope this answers any question's you may have how ever if not please just post and i will do my best to answer them.
Finally cracked it ...

This one wont make the fist release list as samples have all ready gone out to testers.
Might upload a vid tomorrow to tired atm.
One of our independent tester got there's today and was using a long tube res and must say he was doing it across live web cam and i was quite impressed with the looks and is was visible from a distance.. Hopefully the results will show the same temp range as expected that ive seen here.
 very nice
if you need more tester i'm here :p
First post, as many, long time lurker.
God damn that looks so cool on tubes while running, i hope it works and wont mess up with blocks/res/pumps. Absolutely brilliant.
Some more bottles have gone out to independent testers to day.
There has been video uploaded on you tube how ever it doesn't really capture the liquids properly due to lighting issue how ever that's life.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmlPknJfPwE&feature=mh_lolz&list=LLEJHF269 jnN8
There is alot of air in the system which makes it look lousy. Hopefully in a few days time we can see it better. (the reason for him laughing was he did this live on the internet and i said he was very good a shacking the bottle and must have had practice lol)
Very cool for show builds :)
Looks like space....
this morning i received the full RASA kit from XSPC.
thank you Paul over at XSPC for sending us the kit to add to out tests.

Once it was fitted in to a older chassis we started running test and found that the viscosity of the liquid was to much how ever like all mad men we have a back up plan and changed the ratio of the liquid a little.
With the new adjusted liquid every thing run fine and we even got a 4c drop in temps.
Some quick pics of the liquid in action with the RASA kit from XSPC

Were changing the mixture a little we found that certain pumps have problems with the viscosity so we have adjusted it and are now using less partials. This has all so improved the over all performance of the liquids as well :) ... On test were about 4c+ above ultra pure water how ever ill need to poll in results back from other testers to confirm this once they get the new mixes.
The Rasa Block from XSPC has not blocked so far and handling the fluid quite well.
One of the benefits of this liquid is that it shows the flow of the liquid which is a big advantage as it shows up weak spots in the designs of see though products such as reservoirs or water cooling blocks. You can all so see were any vortex's created which in essence looks good how ever create a dead spot's.
As im just testing these product to see if our liquid is compatible i cannot comment on which block's perform best or any thing along them lines. If companies used this liquid it could help in the design of blocks to show were products could perform better especially since these are not simulated but showing the real flow of fluids.
So not only will this liquid be a visual one for modding purposes but all so could help with the development of future products and reviewers could have a field day with it in comparison tests.
One thing to note we did have a problem with a tester who used a in line filter (not surprising) but all so have Plasticiser in his loop. this Liquid made the situation worse as the pearl then got caught up in what was all ready in his loop. (he didn't flush the loop out before testing :( ) how ever this is good news again to me as this will probably happen with a few others who don't know how to flush a loop out properly and if they have a in line filter installed.
Just what I was thinking. Not only does this stuff have bling appeal, It can also be a visual aid to help profile the loop functionality.
I might have missed it, but when will this nectar of the gods be available for purchase :D?
Post #84 answers that for you.
Right i've been testing more and we have changed the viscosity of the liquids so its not as viscus as before. The liquid should run in most pumps and the reason i say this is because of how much overhead your pump has.
What does work so far
Laing DDC 10 watt
Laing DDC 18 watt
Laing D5
Phobya 400 and 800 Series
EK DCP 400 / 800 Series
Eheim pump's 300 upwards
Pumps with low pressure or overhead cannot seem to push the liquid around as well. Reservoirs with the pump built in don't seem to fair as well for several reasons and one of them being dead spots with in the reservoir as this causes the particles to lay in the dead spots were there is very little movement in the liquids. I will keep on testing and we can expand this list as we carry on.
I have all so been testing many blocks and were starting to gather which blocks work best that we have tested.
KOOLANCE www.koolance.com are all so on board and are going to supply us with one of there blocks for testing which is good news, So thank you Koolance your help is appreciated as are all the other company's whom have sent us kit for testing.
As for temps the new mix is 3 to 4c above Ultra Pure H20 in our testing so far which again is good news.

ill work more on this at a later date but thought id show you in this thread anyway.
This is not a dye or a ink or crystals this is some thing very different from them all.

Unfortunately the HeatKiller block is much closer to what most guys are running (any high end new block, even the EK Supreme HF)...than the LT.
This liquid does indeed look nice, but injection plate blocks (again, more than 50% of recent blocks on the market) looks like they have issues?
