EVGA 3dmark11 and vantage benching

Me and TiN are hitting the EVGA CLASSIFIED SR2 for some 3dmark 11 and vantage quad sli benching with EVGA reference GTX580's. Looking to get over P80k vantage next session as well as a few other presets. Lots of work here, hope u dig it..

Massive scores and massive rig! :up:

But I see no sense in illuminated pots... especially when there is a cable coming out of every pot. That destroys the whole picture ;)

I am really looking forward to see more results with this rig... very impressive! :eek:

Hey vin, how are the vmem mods treating you on the ref card?

I was thinking of hacking up the heat plate some more to do choke mods.

I like the picture in the dark.

Additionally I have to "enlight" the secret behind: it is the LED-Mem / OCP Tweak - these cables go through a led and then further on the card on the pcb - there they are wired up as a loop to warm up the mem - from there they are shortening ocp and only light when it is deactivated overall and per phase - so easy :D :ROTF:

Looking forward to 80K. However would be great to have GPU-Z on all screenshots as ORB links don't work for me right now. :(

What's your experience with 3DM11 and this monster setup? Difficult to bench? Happy with the performance scaling?

You should be able to run 1.8-1.85v or so without problem, the inductors heat up pretty good at that voltage, just be sure to cool them good

Thank you! I would love to get 1200/2500 through a full vantage run in quad on reference cards. It's not so easy to do, but I think thats our ultimate goal. We've gotten through at 1175mhz so far so were close. Most of the cards when clocked single can do at or near 1300mhz on slims 1.46v or so. The limitations in quad lie elsewhere. 80k doesn't need 1200 tho.

Thanx mate! Np on GPUz caps, we'll include them. 3D11 is a more pleasant experience than vantage lets say :). It's fun to bench because I'm less stressed out when running it on SR2 lol. Vantage is just a killer on this rig. The 11 quad SLI perf scaling is not so great and the visuals aren't the best, but for the most part its a good benchmark.

Thanx Bob! :p: Just simple stock modded reference cards, thats all that was needed for our goal here. This rig is so complicated to begin with, no need to magnify that. Nothing different than I've done before on previous SR2 sessions.

Its mostly the pretesting for individual HW components and IOH testing on the board itself that take up the most time.

listen to this man re the binning of components, its the key to doing a strong score in any benchmark, knowing what every component can do individually, knowing your benchmark inside out, and just putting in the hours.. thats what makes vince a monster, dedication..

Vantage high. Pretty easy on the system for CPU tests here. Higher presets are more about gpu clocks, so just focusing on that but still decent score:
