Woah Nice! :D Backplate coming also?
im sorry to be off topic, but i dont think there is anything "Badboy" about this GPU... im quite disappointed with the specs of the card....
Tri-SLI 580s.
Lovely looking block, but whats happening here where i circled red?

The only thing special about it is the fact they managed to neuter pretty harshly the performance of two cherry picked GF110 GPU's. It's a pretty big disappointment overall, it is a heavily underclocked card that gets beat by SLI 570's more often then not, while costing a whole lot more.
zigzag: The block wasn't bleeded fully when I took the picture. When the card is standing vertical as it is on my bench desk, then the bleeding time is significantly longer. I didn't bother with rotating the card forth and back, I was too excited to get it running :P
Ahh ok tiborrr :) Are all EK gpu blocks gonna be same style, like how they cover the entire pcb, because it does look damn nice?
@tiborr: I think zigzag didn`t referred about those bubbles but that spot right below power connectors. There are no fluid circulating...
EDIT: To late and I was wrong.
Beautiful EK Block. I look forward to Aquacomputer..
Great job guys!

Jerm ya linked to the 580 page, also no pics of internals
Gabe, any pics of it without all the evga branded crap? Torn between Swiftech and EK right now.
I'm also pleased with evga using you guys, I remember the horror of the innovatek days, WTF were they thinking :ROTF:
Should probably try a full cover swiftech block at one point, all mine are EK's... though I've got a ton of MCW 60's and apogee's that I used over the years.
tiborr
any info concerning oc potential should be appreciated
forgot to say block looks great as expected :D
Goes to the 590 page for me...let me know if is not working for you.
Here is a render as I don't know if I have the internal photo handy...

omg bex.. I was at first, pfft. whate... omg it is.
Did DB design this ? Lol!
Well...I'm not going to argue that ;-)
We did all we could to reduce weight...and so you end up with this shape. 1.80 lbs for the block...
Well, probably shape is another indirect pointer that having two of 590 cards with such blocks greatly increases user's e-peenuz size :)
Though hmm, two .. it's in some hentai-ish/tentacle-ish way
Lol I was just thinking the same thing... Especially if you have a inverted TJ07 with the see-through acrylic roof mod!
User : "MOAR E-PEEN IS REQUIRED!!!"
DD : "Try out our new blocks! Especially de-signed for those looking for more E-Peen on their E-Peen cards!"
Viewer : "Dude... you have 2x penises in your case... are you trying to say something?"
...but on positive note - it's lightweight & you won't see the "E-Peen" on a normal ATX case :)
very important

Geforce GTX 590 burns
You know, I probably wouldn't have noticed had you not pointed it out. But now that's all I see whenever I look at this block :shakes: What has been seen cannot be unseen  ;)
Aye, if blocks at least distantly are similar to their gtx480 counterparts in skinneelab test, then DD delivered least flow resistance while still good cooling despite simplistic inner design. Though imho potential buyers of such (or even two of such) gpus have no problems with flow even with much more resistive blocks, most probably they have more then enough funds to not skimp on powerful pumps setup as well, eg. dual pumps per loop and alike.
To get rid of this .. distinctive shape :) one needs to move inlets elsewhere, eg. in center, but that probably will increase resistance of block a bit.
I am full of troll post tonight. but seriously did db design this?? seriously!! where is teh sheep?
I keep scratching my head over this design and why..OMG...why. Is it when you put a condom on a block itself becomes life-time leak proof?
If that was the case, at least we would be getting some innovation in wc field.
Still it will sell good IMO. Two girls here already want one. Just need a spec. list first.:)
+1 that untill it was pointed out, i didn't notice, and +1 it's hard to forget. I'm guessing in similar way no-one @DD didn't notice it initially. Imho it WILL hurt sales :(
@ Tacklebery - I did see it before it was posted here - couldn't NOT point it when it was linked on here
Well it's only the internal groves that look like a penis... if it wasn't smoked Acrylis most wouldn't see it?
I'm a woman, I'm meant to spot these "manly dangly" things :P
I'm starting to wish I'd held out for a GTX590 though... I only just recently bought my GTX580, and to kick me further, EK brought out a bloody block revision which is significantly cooler than the 1 I've bought :'(
I'm not a woman, and everyone I've shown it to computer person, not, whatever has said .. is that a pebis... ?
not a single dull day at this forum :) thinking of this: in typical case that block will turn to You with... er... ports!
I have to say though, from the pure looks of it, the DD 590 block looks a lot less restrictive than the EK and Koolance blocks :)
But that might not mean anything (and I am probably wrong anyway), it's just the first thing that hit my mind when I saw it - except for the "natural" looks
That Danger den 590 Block looks badass ! The cool thing with Danger Den is most of the time they will make a custom colored top if you call. For a price of course. This helps for alot of custom mods.
.....ROFLMAO
Why is it that all I can think of with regards to that comments is condoms?
Tackleberry - your condom talk has stuck in my brain now!
...if I get blue acrylic will it be extra durable?
...will red give "added" results? :ROTF:
Sorry - I need to grow up!!! Filthy mind!!!
lol - you all are hilarious!
We could offer a smoked/black/colored top that is more the shape of the card to help with hiding the, um, copper shape. The acrylic or delrin is lightweight so that's not an issue.
just wait till some one get "artistic" with a dremel and engraving bit on the plexi i can see the results being quite graphic/amusing
I can also see white coolant being used... :D
I want 1 for lol pics now (doing the obvious holding it the right way for maximum lol effect), then I can have my "e-peen" as a lady, but then I need to buy a GTX590... and sell my GTX580 with the block.... (not that it's even had the block mounted or used yet!)
Hmmm...well for those that want, we can make the block a lot stiffer by adding some ribs to the acrylic.

DD c0ckblock - now when's it available with a pink/purple tint instead of black? :hrhr:
As soon as I see it fitted with barbs and tubes I'm gonna wince!
I'm dreading their new cpu block with its innovative weight saving flap mounting system...
I don't want to sound like a d1ck, but that block looks like a....
I loled when I saw this on tpu this morning.
I was reading that the latest batch of drivers limit the voltage so severely that there is no chance of an overclock.
I thought that the card would actually present a decent value if the chips were cherry picked and could be overclocked significantly when cooled properly.
700 + a block = less money than a pair of gtx 580, nvm the fc blocks.
But if you can't over clock it to 580 speeds... then what's the point, except maybe a ssf system.
Question-Would two of these cards be able to do Tri-SLI and the fourth GPU be dedicated PhysX? Just wondering the possibilty if the MB wasn't Quad SLI compatible, Like the RF3.
I didn't even notice it... until people started to see what they wanted to see, anyways all DD got to do is change the acrylic to a more boxy shape look and thats it. But unfortunately this block is scarred for life.. lol
any news on how the koolance gtx 590 waterblock looks? or temps?
also does anyone know how effective the ek waterblock is at cooling the VRM on the gtx 590?

http://shop.aquacomputer.de/images/p...es/23523_2.jpg
i wish we could see it's internals though
Pretty much the same as in our HD6990 block. The water flows parallel through both cooling structures above the GPU. Of course they are a bit different to get an equal water flow.
Shoggy: I somewhat miss beautiful symmetrical lines/shapes of AC's 480's block. These, while no doubt effective at cooling, are a bit less of a lookers. If things come to this, then imho it's better to have plain rectangle, like that of swiftech's.
Hmm, I actually like this one better than the 480 design. It looks more solid to me, which is a good thing imo :).
do you have any test pictures on how well it performed? I'd love to see how well it cooled under full load. I do like the description that says cooling of the vregs was taken into consideration also.
Quote:
This cooler combines the features of a graphics chip cooler and RAM-coolers in an elegant and very flat watercooler. Additionally the voltage regulators are also cooled effectively
Well at least it doesn't look like a penis! IMO it looks quite sexy :D
~Bex
Imho better term to characterize looks of Koolance's block instead of 'sexy' is - 'sophisticated'. Lot's of small details/figures/lines. Nice result.
The AC block looks like a clog!
Koolance and EK definitely winning in the looks stakes so far...
The Koolance block is definitely my favourite :D.
Finally found some time for photos from the back and inside.

AC gtx 580 block by far looks the best so far.
