For details see my sig...
Mach 2 wasnt maxxed out.
brwmogazos: Nice OC! You should give your memory some more volt, so you can run 5:4 2-2-2-5... Is it prime stable at that speed?
The 6 I've personally tested :
1st : 3570 @ 1.7Vcore, weird is that anything above that voltage makes the CPU unable to even post.
2nd : 3670 @ 1.8Vcore
3rd : 3780 @ 1.8Vcore
4th : 4120 @ 1.85Vcore
5th : 3120 @ 1.7Vcore, would go further no matter what
6th : 3550 @ 1.75Vcore, more wouldn't help.
Hope this helps.
Edit : Plain watercooling, motherboard was a P4C800-E.
well... here you go :D
my cpu is stable at 4.1 with 1.7vcore
However my prometeia had a "leak" and my temps where very bad.... ( +1... +2...) but still it was stable (8 hours double prime)
next week.... 404 :D
i hope .. 4.2 stable
ps: as you can see 2.8 SL6Z5 is a very popular cpu in greece :D :D
Welle every thing helps! and that helped a lot! Found out that the avarage oc of those 6 cpu's was 3.6..Ghz.. Thats not bad.. Im hoping to get one that does 3.7->..Quote:

Great :D . I still waiting my 2.8 M0. And 3.0C how far goes it?
Every CPU is too different, you can never tell which will go high and which not. Also no CPU between the 2.4 and the 3.2 is any different architecture, in theory they have the same potential all of them. The higher clocked models are just the first wafers that come out, supposedly of better quality, without that meaning that they will always clock better.Quote:

I have two 2.8C experineces
SL6WJ Malay L310A stable at 260 5:4 1.75v
SL6WT Malay Q330A(OEM) stable at 3.6 5:4 1.6 vcore
both handlapped
Marvin: Nice lapped! Did you run with your watercooling on these?
yes, i do. I am using a Cascade waterblock, an Eihem 1250 on my ghetto box:D
Iv gotten my 2.8 to 3.6 @ 1.6 with the stock cooling (it ran benches fine but was not Prime Stable). I got it to 3.5 Prime Stable with the stock cooling remember at stock volts. I am installing my MCX478-V very soon so I will tell you what my stable speed is then.
Blind_GI: Nice oc.. Keep us posted when you get the new cooling
I've used two 3.0C's and they both reached 3.50ghz on air. I've seen ppl hitting 3.6ghz but they are very rare.Quote:

My P4 3.0C SL6WU goes 3.62 Stable on stock air cooling. with 1.675V.. :D
I will hopefully get a SP 94 in the weekend, then we will se what happends then ;D
Hi guys...i have a screen of my p4 2.4 m0 at 3.7, but it was far from a rock solid overclock, i'm thinking about buy a 2.4 malay of my friend that runs prime whitout problens at 3.5 with stock voltage ( 1.525v )
a detail...i use aircooler ( Zalman 7KCu ) :D
what do you think? change or not?
Have a look at my sig!
It's not that much of an (unstable) OC, but i guess pretty well for an air cooled system.
take a look at my system max oc , with aircooler ( zalman 7k)Quote:

#19:
Nice oc!
And I must say that I'm a bit disappointed about my own...
but its far from be all right...normally i use 3.2ghz with stock vcore...Quote:

Ok well with my new cooler I got it up to 248FSB Stable (100% Prime95 Stable). But... I used crappy Arctic Alumina (it sucks!), and I just got my AS5 today. Im going to take out my HSF and CPU and put some AS5 on there, and expect to see a 5c drop at the minimum (yes that much). With that and some AS5 on my NB and new Arctic VGA Cooler w/ AS5 I predict a 253 - 255 FSB stable OC. Right now 250 is somewhat stable, but fails prime after 3 hours :( (and 255 FSB fails prime after 1 hour :(). So the extra boost from the AS5 (load temps especially) will allow me the extra mhz ;)
Overal im expecting about 3.6Ghz @ 1.6 Volts with my MCX478-V ;)
Blind_GI nice oc for an aircooled 2.8C. :)
Here is the malay L310A
Marvin: Is that stable? and water cooling?
yes, stable at 260 and 1.67 and 262 at 1.75Quote:

that is the limit.
My normal 2.8 can only do 3.3@1.8Vc:(:(:(, i hate it, i whould get close to the 9600PRO 2k1 record w/ a good CPU.
I will have a chiller in like three days, but my mobo is gone at RMA so i will only test it in one week(around that). I will try if 1.9Vc will help(op so).
But some CPU are very good, other to the average, and other poors. Guest im in poor categorie
I got my 2.8 M0 today:YIPPIE: and im testing it now.. so far i have only tried 230fsb, and it runs prime flawless@stock vcore
It did 240fsb @stock vcore, but locked after 5mins of prime @ 250fsb and stock vcore..
255fsb@1.6vcore ran fine, but i got reboot after 30sek when i tried 260fsb@1.6v.. running it at 260fsb with 1.65vcore now.. It's getting a bit hot!(47c after 5min with prime..) Cause i havent botherd removing my old goop from my block( have used the goop over 5times..) and i just took some quickley on mye cpu, im going to lap it later this week so i just intended to test it now..
my p4 sl6z3 2.4, does 3.3 vcore stock rock solid, primeable....
255 is stable@1.6vcore but 260 aint even stable@1.65vcore.. I think it's my temp..
Nice I can get my 2.8c (SLW) to 250FSB Prime Stable @ 1.6 VCore with simple air cooling ;)
WOW. My can only get 236@1.7...LOL
mine does 250 at stock voltage
I could get 3599 @ 1.6v with my slk900 not prime but 3d stable. Can't attach a pic I don't have the option.
Anyone tried Enabling the L3 cache with CPU MSR ?
:slobber:  Wow, this is very interesting :DQuote:
Maci what is this program I just downloaded lol ?
It says its only for power users only... does that mean extreme enthusiets only or something?
And can you explain this prog please, I don't want to ยงยงยงยง anything up ya know. Oh yea did you unlock the L3 cache with it as well? (SLZ only I see :()
Just run it and you will see. But do not change any parameters :P
Well I did run it... it doesnt really do anything at all.
And what the hell is On Demand Clock modulation?
that looks like a kind of DOT(dynamic overclocking technologie) that MSI have on there board
Actually I did. It seems to do nothing or I actually can't figure out how to make it work myself.Quote:
If I disable L3 cache on my EE the system will reboot instantly.
Same here :(Quote:

Well, we don't have it and we want to enable it.Quote:

You have it and are trying to disable it. Which is VERY strange why you even tried to do that anyway......!
Therefore, you don't count.:p:
Does it just enable L3 cache? Can i mess up something?Quote:
I dont work;)
Paste up some screenshots with all available functions :P
OFF TOPIC: is L321B407 a good deal?
Not one person on the planet can tell you that for certain. It is gambling, always. However *MOST* L321 CPUs give good results.Quote:

yeah, i know that...but i dont want to spend a lot of money , and pick something that isn't much better then my p4 2.4@3.6Quote:

i just want some opnions :)
If you really want an opinion, save your money.Quote:

You are already very high by any measure unless you have sub-zero cooling.
man, you got my thikings...Quote:

i'm biulding my phase-change, thats why i'm thinking about get this p4...
Then I would just wait to have the phase-change first, and then because of course you won't get further with the 2.4 since your motherboard is limited you should find a M0 2.8C which most are above average and is the 'perfect' multiplier for phase change cooling.Quote:

first of all , 1000 sorrys...Quote:

but this P4 is with a good price...the guy accepted to test it,so lets take a look :D
Just installed a 2.8 C MO
first attempt priming:D
no errors for 2 hours.
more voltage
hmm its a bad score...my p4 at 3.6 with memos 3:2 200mhz makes the same 39seconds...Quote:

tell me about the memos, 5:4, 3:2 ? latencies?
i didnt disable antivirus, prime and firewall. Also i was folding, so i know i can get better sintetic results, but is stable so far.
Mine 2.8@3.64 5:4 2-3-3-7 and 1.6vcore gives me 39seconds..
can you give us some clean results??Quote:

ok.
here is 5:4 fsb 271 1.675 vcore mem 7-4-4-2 Geil 2x512
PAT A-A-A-D-D
got 37 sec.:D
I think your RAMs are crapping you;)
Good results;)
no doubt about that...Quote:

thank you
Wow Marvin nice 2.8 ya got there... what cooling are you using there?
I got my 2.8c up to 3.8c today: http://www.photobucket.com/albums/10...emps_and_3.jpg
But it is not stable by any means ;) That was with a measley 1.6 Volts, so 1.7 Volts should get me some stabilty there (if not completley stable). Oh yea this was with air, well the cold air from outside being sucked into my comp :D
Man you should do a kinda tube that you plug in a hole (that is outside) and that goes directly to your comp, you could get that temps 24/7;)
Man i have read that is cold therei n USA.:D
Here in Rio is very hot(summer).
I am using a plain watercooler
Canada is even colder. Its -45C since monday now;)
 here its veryyy hot :(Quote:

damn you guys are lucky to get your 2.8C soo high, mine does 3.3ghz stable, at stock, but needs 1.675vcore to be stable at 3.4ghz, arggg it sucks. i want 3.5ghz! at stock!
if your not happy, you can trade w/ me:D...
lol Skate just wait it out for that Prescott youv been wanting ;)
Anyhow yea its cold as he11 here in CT... its -35 with the windchill :O, and Air temps are 0 in the day and -5 or -10 at night :(
Skate thats a good idea ;), my mom wouldn't get mad that the window was open and I wouldn't have to wear a jacket and gloves all the time lol.
I think i have a problem but i cant figure what makes it.. I can run stable @240fsb stock vcore, 250fsb 1.575vcore, 255fsb 1.6vcore, bench 265fsb 1.6vcore but it reboots with 270fsb 1.7vcore.. I have tried running my ram @5.4 and 3:2.. Can anyone help me?
Because it can work at 265 with 1.6Vcore, it doesn't mean that it can handle more. You probably have hit the limit of the CPU.Quote:

Now i have runned it in prime for 30min with 260fsb 1.65vcore(in WERY hot room, 32c..), so i would think it could at least bench with 270fsb 1.7vcore..
I can now run it stable with 248fsb and stock vcore..
Man lucky!!!
And Blind: I will not get a Prescott, im too broke after buying my expensive chiller. I will wait next gen(Tejas+Socket T)+R420
YEAH! I just benched it @270fsb 1.75vcore:banana: :rocker: :rocker: I couldent do it before, i guess its the temps.. And i booted it fine into windows @275fsb 1.8vcore but it rebooted just before it finished the sisoft multimedia benchmark:down:
DAMN!! This day just getting better and better!! I just ran i through sisoft @275fsb 1.85v:banana:  I had a water temperature of about 16c and the cpu reached a max load of 35c when i benched it.. I could only run 1test then i had to clock down and let it cool for a while then i could run another test..
Im going to put my pc under the window soon, its about -5c outside, and try to get further!
Is it Prime95 stable at 275fsb?
Put some anti-freeze;)Quote:

It's NOT primestable @275fsb it's barely benchble.. it gets to hot..
Are you thinking about a better cooling then WC?
Me? yeah! but im only 17years old(wendnesday), and i need new graphics card and ram so i cant really afford it..Quote:

Im only 12;)...LOL
BTW: happy birthday;)
Thx.. Im hoping the cpu will give me the nice birthday presant of letting me run it stable @300fsb stock vcore and let me bench it @412fsb 1.9vcore... dont think it's going to happen, but i hope..
412!!!!!!!!! lol, that whould be a good birthday!!!!!!
