Got an invitation from Christian for a preparing session for AOCM party...

Had a retail GT, a GTX470, 4 GTX275 and only little hope for a good CPU with me...

Just to say, ordered CPU on sunday, got it on thursday evening and put it directly under LN2...:D

Ordered GFX on monday and got it also on thursday evening...

Did test GFX only ~ 30 min...

CPU subzero: ~ 5 h

CPU above zero: ~ 5 min

But there is one thing, I really confused about...

I was able to bench PiFast and 3Ds > 6,3 GHz as you see, but 1M freezes in Loop 4 ~ 8 all the time @ 6,2 GHz (31x200)...

I can boot easy with 31x200...

Tested multi 31 and 33, uncore multi 8/10/11/12 and memory 2:8 and 2:10, temps from -130°C to -150°C, same under other WXP and W7 and 1.5 and 1.6...

No idea about this issue....

Maybe board/CPU combination?

That SuperPi 1M "issue" is really really weird.
I've seen 980X retails validating CPU-z @ 6.5GHz ... 6.6GHz and not able to run Pi1M at any frequency over 6100ish MHz :shrug:

Very nice results for R cpu.

Which volts did you run on these 1100Mhz GTX275? :)

Nanok and i had the exact same problem, also a 980x (3003B242) running on a Giga X58A-UD7. Pifast and 3D was fine at 6.2+GHz but Superpi 1M failed at 6GHz i think, we didn't find a solution..

Stumwi, try loosing tRFC by 5-10..... Give it a shot....

I have had these batches which would do Vantage at 5.7ghz but could not pull GT in any bench or 32M any higher than 5.8Ghz. So having these batches are no guarantee(and the board has had other GT's in it that benched 32M as high as 6.4GHz and Vantage at 6GHz.

I have also experienced the 1M issue....:shrug:

just stress IMC and you done, high vtt and high vdimm +1.6 on vtt and 2.0 volt on Vdimm,

but guys why u care 1m, 680 will out soon and kill 1m ;)

Maybe it's more along the lines of IMC cold bugging, and perhaps it's actually that 1M doesn't heat it up enough (while still accessing it plenty). Higher vdimm would heat it.

Has anyone tried running something like pifast or wprime at the same time as running 1M?

i have higher cpu score than that on water @ 4.8ghz OUCH!

Something happened there, I get 42k CPU with a bad 980x on water at 4.55 and vista should be around 40-41k.

haha guys, i was shamed until see your disscussion :D tried Brandy's 980x with re3, able to boot into windows at 6.2ghz and 5.1ghz nb but cant run 1m :rofl: and i was telling myself hell this cpu is :banana::banana::banana::banana: and gave a break :) let me tell Brandy to push it :D

Boris, can you check your VID?

Ours has 1.2125V and today I take a secound look and I see that the CPU can do more, but only with lower uncore, all above 23x will limit CPU Clock
