First benching - AMD 6 core @ 6700 Mhz

Thats my first Thuban benching
The CPU haves a very nice performance and I could do the tests with only 1.7 V (BIOS); to CPUZ (from 6630 mhz to higger) was necessary to greatly increase the voltage to try a suicidal CPUZ screen.
I know I could have achieved better results with a better operating system (my XP installation CD was defective and gave blue screen throughout the installation and Vista Lite corrupted in the first few minutes benching, then I turned to format my wife's Vista Home Premium without any Tweak at -18X C.
The system was already in sub zero and LN2 in Brazil is very expensive then I could not waste more time and LN2.
I'm sure that AMD will be a great choice for low cost, especially for those who like to do extreme OC.

Nah he's got a chew* pre prepped gigabyte board, he can pour water on it while benching and it will still keep rocking. Just another bencher I have corrupted :rofl:

Something is wrong or only turbo was on and it wasn't all cores at same speed, the 06 cpu score is to low as well at 6400mhz I'm seeing 8862 cpu score.

I would muster a guess at 10k easily at that speed all cores.

There are no Turbo on...
I think this OS sucks...
I'll bench each one with its appropriate OS so soon.

ya, I agree, 3d06 cpu score seems low.
1055T def score is about 5800-5900, 1055T@4,4ghz about 8100-8200, I expected 11k.. :S

It's not the OS, I say bios or turbo is on whether you shut it off or not.

Turbo is disabled;
This is the only BIOS i found to the motherboard acceept Thuban...
Anyway i will check another appropriate OS ;)

Liquid metal or thrmal paste? Very nice indeed, but 06 CPU score sucks little bit.Now some 890FX action.

Very nice results :up: Looks like those cpu's have solid potential, will be better once turbo etc issue is sorted. Insane frosty pics too.

Seems to be some problem in 3DM, but CPU runs at nice frequency;

so, wprime 1024M is not so much better than MADs air at 4300MHz (he had 182s), so it is only 3s diference and +2000 MHz clock? Something must be wrong :(.

Is only the first Thuban's bench and i dont know the Six Core scores...
But CPU can overclock high...
I don t use more than 1.79V yet.
Next week i will try another OS.
One more thing...AMD Overdrive don t works and K10Stat can be the problem.
I will check next benchs...and try 7 Ghz its sure

I tried today on 6 cores :

* wprime 32M @ 5.5 4.9s
* 3Dmark 2k6 @ 10K + cpu score

Im not sure if it has been said but if you don't want to run the Turbo Core there is a very easy way to disable it. It isnt listed as Turbo Core in the bios its integrated into the function of Cool and Quite. So just disable Cool and Quite and you disable Turbo core. I never planed to use this feature because I leave my system up for 1.5 weeks at a time just continuously folding. And im going to try and get big adv up on this puppy when mine arrives anywhere between this Thursday or the 1st which is Saturday.
