ASUS HD5870 Matrix hits 1500+ and 30.5k

I did some overclocking together with Marcus (Kinc) this weekend and we tested the new HD5870 Matrix.

System specs
i7 980X ES
ASUS R3E
3x2GB Corsair CMGTX2
ASUS HD5870 Matrix 2GB
Antec 1200OC
Dimastech Benchtable
F1EE and Tek9 4.0

Thanks guys, it seems the memory performance is quite good as well even though it doesn't clock as high as other cards.

with 6ghz he would gain maybe 100-200 points more
because his gpu scales very good gpu point annd cpu speed of 4.5 is enough for that
there is no bottleneck from cpu side
more cpu speed would give more cpu points just and no gain in gpu points or maybe very small gain of 50-100 points
and when gpu score lays at 26K and cpu score already over 40K,you can get even 100k cpu score but the end score will be fast the same
vantage needs big gpu score
and cpu score schouldnt bottleneck the same score

We were running -150 and 1.55v, coldbug on this one was at -160. In total 6 cards were tested (the others were far from bad). We did have some issues with 2d/3d switching but after setting 2d voltage the same as 3d in the iTracker software there was no problem.

True, for the GPU-score CPU on air is enough. CPU-score is 10% of the total in Vantage performance so 10k higher CPU-score is 1k in total score.

Just saw this on your homepage elmor, figured it would be here as well :) 1,5 GHz gpu is.. something special. Too bad one has to go trough at least ~5 really expensive cards to be sure to get one. But it sure makes this even more impressive!
