Are there any waterblocks available or coming up soon for the new nvidia cards?
I'm thinking of picking up a 5870 and an EK block, but I'd wait a few weeks for 480 if it's coming up. Does anyone know? :)

EK has one in the works also - ETA mid April.
Where did you see this posted? I had been hoping Eddy was going to chime in on one of these threads and show even just renders of their planned blocks for 480/470. It seems based on Nvidia's tight control of available cards pre-launch, however, that maybe EK hasn't gotten a hold of one yet to design a solution.
Eddy what's going on with Fermi blocks? :)
It's on the EK website.

Plans for Nvidia GTX 470/480 blocks - 30/03/2010
We are working on releasing new full cover blocks for new Nvidia GTX 470/480 graphic cards.
ETA middle of April.
Any additional/specific info will be posted here.
koolance is just about to release their GTX 480/470 blocks
Ours will be arriving late next week. Photos and pricing will be available then.
Unlike our previous full-coverage VID blocks, we will be using 0.5mm GPU microfins on these (with LEDs): http://www.koolance.com/water-coolin...hp?cPath=29_46

nice i really liked the koolance 9800gx2 block coz of the led's
well I'm going to be snagging whatever block seems to be the best and at a good price as soon as possible. I have a eVGA 480 Ordered and waiting for the 12th.
hmm... DD, or EK, or Koolance?
I have a DD4870 block and it is awesome. The built in standoffs make installation so easy, I'd definitely use the DD block if you are going to be swapping out the block often. I like EK for looks, and I can't comment on Koolance. I'm sure all three will be excellent choices, though.
Our GTX 480 and GTX 470 blocks are now available.

Looks like one hell of a core size, wow!
wow, so any video's or up an running Temp tests or anything Koolance? I'd like to hear some info regarding it. I just saw the DD video this morning also
So, DD has 3 out, same with EK, and Koolance has theres, is there other brands I should wait for. or should I just snag one now??
I wonder what one cools the best
XGuntherc. I have both Koolance and DangerDen ... Dont wait just get the DangerDEn Call them tho. there website might say out. and they actually have them. both block are probally withend 1-3C
they are in stock.. I'm debating the Acetal+Nickel EK, or the Full Nickel DD
actually DD is out of the Full Nickel.. so I can wait, or get the Nickel+Copper DD. or the EK.. ahh I called also, the lady wasn't in the warehouse, but said if the site shows it's out of stock then it probably is
Waiting for my 2 480's to arrive, in the mean time let me break the ice here by posting some copper.

Yea I ordered the Copper, Nickel top DD today. be here in a few days. :D I already have my 480 though.
The DD blocks are sweet! They would look sick plated in black chrome. :)
Nice looking blocks...I see that DD just did run some tests with the core at 900...So these cards look to have a huge overclock potential! 60C under load with the wimpy ProII rad and pump in FurMark Xtreme Burn and 46C in the Heaven Benchmark.

Shoggy, when your block will be available?
Very nice looking block.
A few more information.
The development of our new aquagrafx fullcover block for GTX 480 cards has been finished today. The block is made of 2kg copper and weighs approx. 850g after the production process. The bas is 10mm thick and offers a very fine slot structure (0,3mm) above the GPU. The cover is made of stainless steel and has a laser engraving on it.
This time we use distance pieces for all threads. They are pre-assembled so you don't have to fumble around with them. All surfaces which have contact to the GPU/RAM/VRM are high gloss polished.
To solve the problem with the voltage regulators and the fact that there are no useful threads nearby we include a backplate. It is made of stainless steel and also uses distance pieces. A stripe of foam rubber below the backplate pushes the voltage regulators and the GPU against the block to ensure an optimal cooling performance.
Also new is the delrin connection terminal which we moved to the side of the block. It is fixed with three screws and offer two G1/4" threads in both directions. Of course two sealing plugs are included.
Very soon we will offer other connection terminals which will allow you to easily install SLI setups with several cards.
The delivery of the block will start next week. Price is 89.90 EUR (~101.00 USD w/o German VAT).
Pre-orders are already possible.
We are currently preparing an installation video and also a making-of-video of this block so you will know what you get ;)
And finally: some photos :)

Good price, beautiful backplate solution. Bravo!
Shoggy, any info on a 470 gtx block?
Should follow next week :)
Sorry for pushing that up... ;)
We have modified the backplate a bit further. It is also covering the GPU now:

The installation video on YouTube has been also updated ;)
What is the purpose of the back plate ?
Does it help with cooling at all or is it just to stiffen the assembly ?
Thanks and great looking waterblock :)
hi shoggy, that's a really nice looking waterblock!!!! i see it on your company website, but i was just wondering when will it be available in the US? i got a GTX 480 coming and i really like your water-block's design. it goes well with my HEATKILLER 3.0. thanks.
@bito: underneath two spots you place a piece of rubber foam which pushes against the back of the card so the voltage regulators and GPU have proper contact to the block. Especially the voltage regulators are a bit problematic since you do not have any useful mounting holes in the card nearby.
@BentQ: if you want it as fast as possible I recommend to order it directly in our webshop. The resellers in the USA order only from time to time so it takes a while until they have the current blocks available.
