From 4400mhz to 4448mhz it needed a bump from 1.53v to 1.6v and NBvid from stock 1.20v to 1.225v...
This particular chip likes 4350-4400mhz with 1.53-1.55v...4300mhz looks like a sweetspot..4400 will be tuff 24/7:D

A Bios Makes a big differance, Especially for unlocking and Stability... I Ran the F9 Bios before hand for this Mobo...

Im working on that today or tomorrow....My mobo is setting 1.54v @ 1.6v..thats a problem ATM...I think it has to do with the CPU microcode for F9 not shure though. As with the old 550 when i would set 1.6v it read 1.61v..Quote:

Try clearing CMOS regarding your vcore issue.

Funny i went out to grab lunch Sunday and came home with a 555 and no lunch....
Then i had to get beer when it booted @ 4200mhz because i didnt clear the Bios the First time(volts were @ 1.56v:rofl:
F9 works decent..
It holds Unlock on every reboot with 555...I forgot to clear CMOS when i swapped 550:rolleyes:...
Didnt test Sleep though in Vista..I keep it always On..Just incase.
A new Bios would be great though.
if you do have triple rads try 1.57v for 24/7 its what I run and the cpu will hover around 46-50c load depending on ambiant, idle will be 34-36c.Quote:

If thats with ambiant water then thats awsome.......I did 30 minutes prime at 4.3ghz but it took ice chilled water tha was ambiant around 10c and loaded at 25c. So this is definitely an improvement.Quote:

My biggest problem is the Mobo Bios...I have to add alot more than what is actually needed for Priming. I have a fan on PWM's (TMpin2)run only 1c or 2c hotter than my CPU does lol...These ones can actually take some punishment..
I kept the Volts up to see it squirm under preshure...

So for 4300mhz - 4400mhz i have to use around 2800 or lower @1.3v.

Nope, got my 555 in yesterday night and it has 1004BPMW stepping. :mad:. I swear I keep getting BPMW steppings from Newegg. First was my 920 (February '09), 550 (June '09), and now 555. Both my 920 and 550 weren't very impressive at all. Hopefully the 555 can change that trend.Quote:

It would be nice to see a 890chipset for it...i think ill be waiting a while to get one that Unlocks a 555 or anything else. In 2xcore on 890 ill think it will do a little better.

Did not do any benches with it though @3000nb...My Mobo did nott like the Nb multi's i was picking with 1150- 1200mhz on the ram.
DDR2 seems to do best @ 2800 or below with tight timing .

X2cores will doe the Same on my setup..Its amuzing actually.

Seriously, anyone could take an Athlon X4 630 and overclock it to 3.8-4 Ghz and have a kick*** machine...for dirt cheap. On the intel side, well you can buy a LGA775 Pentium Dual Core or something...
Here it goes, my 4th 555 BE chip in a row. :P Only one more after this to go. Three 555BE's before this have all unlocked just like that.

550/555 puts a smile on my face every time i game.
Ok so my 1004BPMW unlocks. Good. Currently prime testing it at 4GHz / 2.8GHz NB w/ 1.49vcore. Awesome. Feels good to get past the 4GHz wall on air. Under load my temp hovers around 51 degrees C. Also got some Arctic Cooling MX-3 paste from Petra's to replace my Ceramique.

Yeah when I initially built my PC I just grabbed the big Ceramique tube from Frys in Fremont, lol. So far I like the 555 + MX-3's temps, especially now that it's much warmer here in Cali.

I just put a little dot of MX-3 (bigger than a grain of rice) on my 555 before I placed my Scythe Mugen 2 on. I didn't spread it evenly or anything else. Do you think it's ok?
yes richie it should be fine, here is a video i found awhile ago about spreading tim.. i use mx2 & for my xigmatek or any direct touch cooler, i put a line of tim across middle of cpu, in opposite direction as the heatpipes that will contact it. for flat based coolers i just use a dot in center of cpu and usually always have good spread, unless one side of cooler got tightened down too much before other, then sometimes the tim mostly spreads to one side.
