W555 shows it's outstanding mutiple core performance in vantage

MSI Lightening 5870 is easy to reach 1400 core for 3Dmark benching

one of my card , 1500 core is stable in vantage test

i will try to get more big numbers of mutiple cards ....push more core on it.

But sure pays off, I feel like such a noob when seeing your results!

Only one negative thing; and thats not your fault.... Seems the W555 isnt exactly perfect at overclocking when using 2 processors.... I mean, from 75 chips, I would have expected seeing 2x 6 x 6ghz vantage stable, not 5.4ghz....
Seems there is headroom for improvement, but some strange feeling in my stormach tells me "someone" is sitting with his soldering iron and a heck of alot component and trying to work some magic.... Lardarse, any input? ;)

The Q3QP is an A0 stepping gulftown @ 3.07ghz.

The Q4EG is the 980X a B1 Stepping gulftown @ 3.33ghz

I see you have x20 Uncore too, is it stuck at x20 on EVGA too?
I can set the Uncore to x12, x16. etc .. in GB UD7-BIOS for my X5650, but it ends up as x20 in windows no matter what.


May i ask how much VVT you are using for BCLK215 with x20 Uncore?

saw the score's a few days ago but it is now as impressive as for a few days :clap:

1485MHz Core is hard (even with a lightning) but you showed the last days some really hard stuff!!

Dual QPI will push us to another level in Vantage :D

12 Cores and 70k+ CPU Score is so amazing....

I was hoping that it was a BIOS-bug, but that hope is fading fast. I fear you may be right, so far I have seen 3 MB (GB Ud5, UD7 and your EVGA) with locked Uncore at x20.

Yeah VVT=1.5v sounds right for BCLK215 and x20 Uncore, but Intel is recommending max VVT=1.4v for these CPUs. It is .5v more than i7-920 which has survived with VVT=1.45v+ easily, but I'm a kind of scared to try high VVT for 24/7 before I get to know these CPUs a bit better.

overclocking is a way to take a risk :rofl:

Everybody can kill a CPU, it requires no skills. The art of OCing is about pushing it to the edge without killing it, you know. ;)

Too high VVT can be more dangerous than high Vcore, but I hope/guess there is room to push the VVT over 1.4v on these CPU for 24/7.
Good to see yours did good even on a risky mission, anyways.
