good score guys.........wonder how 64bit makes a difference?
Il testing later x64, think, maybe 4.4-4.5 with the same setings.

Well, x64 makes a big difference, but I have no 64bit Windows installed, so I ran x86 version. Here's the score
NB @ 2940MHz, RAM @ 1307MHz
4.3GHz on the cpu was no go, I expected to run it at least 4.4GHz...

nice one
push it a little more to get 5pts :)

Guys, you're making me put x64 Windows. My score matches a score with Phenom II @ 4GHz on x64 Windows...
beta: cool!!!

this is the max i can get without cold air:
http://img716.imageshack.us/img716/4454/cb114213.png
how much does ram play a part? on w7 64 i ran 4.2/2.8 and got 4.94, bumped up htt a little bit so it was like 4.25/2.85ish got 5.0, just ran it with 4.28/2.78 and got 5.04 but my ram is c7 <1500mhz every run :/
edit: the gator eats the greater!
hmm maybe high ht hurts? 4.28/2.78 was 5.04, went up 1htt to these settings below & also lowered ht from 26xx to 19xx and my score went up .05 ;)

Been a while since I've been around so Hello to all!!
Did some playing with my new build and so far impressed with low voltage this 965BE needs to run up to 4Ghz but after that it needs much more and having trouble getting anything over 4100mhz but still have some work to do.
heres my cinabench
Heheh, nice competition.
I was on normal ambient temps, just 21ºC
I might try cold air soon.
Looks like crazydiamond was on a bit of cold air, no?
i can not get now at x64 more than 4050 MHz with AIR :-/...
Heres my unremarkable 965 C3
http://img534.imageshack.us/img534/6...nebench115.jpg
Got 4,6pts 64bits 4ghz, nb stock, mem low :p
Yes zues cooler ambient.. I could do 4.2/2.8 on normal but I only got 4.94 when I did that and compared to ur guys I wasn't satisfied :p: I will test some more with it but soon.. I just don't get why my scores were so low first few runs compared to ur guys..
crazydiamond: nice!!! Hovu much MHz up u got with new cooling? +100-150?
i dont know for sure yet for stable settings flank3r, because i havent been able to do a lot of testing lately but 4050-4100mhz was possible on my air but i dont think 4.2 is possible now just needs too much vcore (over 1.6v), it think about 4150mhz will be max now. w/ all my fans on high my air was able to keep ~1.54v in check and 1.6v is too much for this water so somewhere in between there :p: over 4.0/4.1ghz starts to need a lot more volts for minimal mhz increases.
Benching my AMD system soon, but here my Intel

Ran this the other day on my dualie with some 'nice" chips in it.
Can't post the scores yet but ahh, your going to 'sheet twinkies" as we say over here!
Here my Q6600 to compare with some of you AMD guys.
Q6600 @ 4GHz | GTS250 @ 849/2106/1150MHz
Well, I'm not going to break any records. This was done at stable clocks, and cheapo memory without any tweaks.. All the background stuff was running (4870 VC)...
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...115_stable.png
Here my shot at it with my old Foxconn A79A-s board and ddr2 memory.
where is some result form mr. chew* ?:)
Ran it again but this time i ran the openGL also.
Here's my quick run after spending many hours trying to figure out why I can't run my GTX2's even at 1700MHz memtest stable. This is with ambient and it's not the maximum of the CPU. I'm sure it can go higher.

Just wanted to show some scaling with OC.
19.5% more freq for 18% more performance.
Pretty good scaling IMHO.
OMG Haxor !!!!!!

anyway here is my new cinebench score haxor,

Let's bump the topic a little ;)
If i have stop the CPU-Z and HWMonitor the result will be better.

The previous result is missing. i guess because was is very large image ;)

1.65V was CPU volts?
whau, with AIR 1.65V...
my R11.5 x64, ambients 21 C, aircooling. I think, this R11.5 is maybe a bit harder for CPU (or my CPU is whorse than at begin). With more tweaking, think, is my limit about 4060MHz .

Almost did 4.3GHz. With some more tweaking it should be possible, I guess.
This board (M4A89GTD) is doing very good job with the memory overclocking, I like it!

damn those Dominators are nice
I'll post my result tomorrow.
Best way 4.4pts for my PII 945.
I want to see some x6 results. ;)
Mobo: K9A2 Platinum
Memory: DDR2 1000 4x2GB
CPU: Phenom II 945 3.75ghz (15x250) 24/7 Stable (Not going to push this for a suicide)
OS: Windows 7 Pro x64
Cooler: Mugen 2 & 1850rpm Scythe GT
Ambient: around 72F
http://i39.tinypic.com/15pihhe.jpg
I'm pleased, all things considered.
w.TF.. QX6700 @ 3.5
4.94?? REALLY..
Well, here's one preliminary result, nothing is optimized as a frequencies. I think I can get to 8pts with higher-clocked memory + lower timings, cpu-nb and cpu.
This is with normal water and 25 degrees ambient temperature. It should be able to go higher. I love this cpu, so far :)
http://j.imagehost.org/t/0840/cinebe...-3160-1800.jpg
8 should be no problem with high frequencies combination, but I'll try to pass it next week, probably.
So close to 8!
My attempt :

New Personal best on the C4F with a 965 Quad...

So close to 5.0 on a quad. I'm loving this new board.. :yepp:
Nicely done Dave!
I'm liking it a lot myself
This is my score then:

so a 4.25ghz Thuban is equal to a 4.5ghz I7..........sweet!
Yes! And with slight memory timing tweak ...

WOW. What cooling?
^^^ Gadzooks I bet the mosfet's were breaking a quick sweat
I.nfraR.ed
Very nice.
Have been trying for 8.So close, yet so far away for me.
Heres my best run so far, these chips are looking very good dont you think.:)
http://i572.photobucket.com/albums/s...9999999999.jpg
nice 8+
So, this is a only normal voltage with ZThuban, is the same as Denebs, 1.55V 24/7 with AIR is SAFE. With voltage is it about 1.6 for 24/7. For benchmarks u can steps up next +0.05V without fear.
Thanks mate:up:
Thubans need less voltage to get to high clocks,i run at 4.2ghz 24/7 and only needs 1.472v,to bench at 4.3ghz i need 1.490v,still playing with settings and voltages.
http://i572.photobucket.com/albums/s...0000000000.jpg
yes, this chips are a bit better than C3 Denebs for OC. The best AMD monster to time :)
Sorry no quad or six core here ....but cinebench 11.5 though
http://www.rol-co.nl/hwi/amd555/cinex2.jpg
moorhen2: of course ,-)...still waiting for motherboards (Crosshair IV and Gigabyte). But it will only air.
EDIT Chart updated and moved
ReKcOlNu : nice!!! Can u add info about coolings? Thx.
Are i7s welcome in this thread. I don't want to step on any toes, or get flamed.
Imo, it's not the same. It's equivalent to something like 1.625 - 1.65V for Deneb, in order of the temperatures. Well, it might be my chip is hotter than others, who knows.
ReKcOlNu: Very nice :)
Well, it's in the AMD section, so it's supposed to be only for AMD cpu's. There's another thread for all in the main forum.
Actually there are i7 in the table, so why not...
Glad you guys like the chart.
I wanted to add OS+32-64bit/OpenGL stuff too (and even cooling would be possible) but its lot of data to hunt down and enter, so I just went for complete data and single CPU setups.
I'm not much of an overclocker, just highest stable (24/7) CPU speed with all voltages at default, CnQ/C1E enabled. Never bothered to bump up the NB-CPU MHz or anything, I actually use this PC and can't afford it to crash.:p: I'm just happy its stable as an X4. :)

awesome chart ReKcOINu!
I.nfraR.ed, whats your secret!?! great scores man :)
1055t is such a great value :yepp:
What secret? :p:
There's no secret. I've tried also with second run, but I get almost always the same result. Maybe the memory with some of the subtimings tweaked makes the little difference. Also the high CPU-NB...
However the OS is not tweaked in any means, it's standard installation of x64 Windows7 Ultimate.
And btw the score with 955 was with cold air. With normal ambients in the room I could do only 4.2 - 4.22GHz, the heat was a problem.
ran a 7.73 last night
http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/j...tan771/773.png
Nice run Titan, what was the max cpu temp?
I hope I can join in the 6-core race soon..
pretty soon you'll hit 8s
Good cooling then!
My is hitting 54C after just few minutes of stress.
I must start thinking seriously about water again :yepp:
@Manicdan
Great idea!
I can contribute Stock 1090T:

good, cause we will see diferent between motherboards and setings RAMs etc etc
