Hello guys

I decided to also start my Project in the xtremesyystems forum
It would be a lot work for me as an 16 year old guy to translate everything but i think the pictures are better than noting?! I hope so :p:

When you have questions about the pictures or the project just ask me

First sorry for my english :D

I will say a little bit about the project:
At the last lan party I decided to buy a much smaller case than the V2010b
So i bought a Lian Li A05NB

Hardware:

EVGA X58 SLI LE
GTX300 when it will be released
6 GB Corsair Dominator Ram

The Case will get a mirrorfinish (chrom) ;)

At first I carried the case into the cellar and removed the outer hull

Next I removed the gray plastic holders for the DVD burner
I like the oldskool way with screws

Now i removed the HDD cage
The most time i think they are useless :D
The HDD will be placed in a Watercool Silentstar with mirrorfinish

I could notive that the painting is not really scratchproofed
This makes it easier for me to remove the painting for the mirror finish

The ugly, black feets were a no go
They had to dissapear very fast :D
To remove them i had to push the bolts out and voilá
So the barbs were not widened any more

Now i sprayed clue remover on it

It's a Silverstone Strider 700W Full Modular

For this i had to remove the fan connector

At first i take look at the though hole fittings
And i had to notice that it will not fit how i thought
And when i would have to use SLI fittings :/

After that i marked the cutout
So I can change the CPU cooler much faster
But... I don't know if the hole is big enough for 1366

So later the Tygon from the EK GPU block to the fitting will be exactly vertical

but there are still some "shadows" of the painting
you can't remove it 100%

but this doesn't matter because in future the mainboard will be watercooled

Swt I got same case and mobo. I also want to powdercoat the case but currently a bit strapped for cash. Question how did you prep the case for powdercoating? so the screws and all would go back in. Did you take out any rivets or just leave it as is?

and after 5 hours of work i had to notice that there were 2 leaks
but the next day i fixed it ;)

the picture quality is bad but these pictures are just some "still @ work" pictures

It would have been nice if you had kept the pump mount black. Green should be special, only appearing in certain areas.

Nevertheless, great work here. Long term build I like, as long as it gets finished.
