I just wanted to give you guys and girls the first look at the new Rad Bracket. It's designed to allow you to install any radiator that will fit width wise in any 5.25 bay. There are numerous different ways to mount the brackets allowing virtually any radiator to fit.
Here's some pictures to better explain what I mean.

awww came out a tad too late. i just bought lian li's bracket because it's the only other alternative to jerry-rig brackets. has the the TC rads been tested on these yet? i know the spacing and lengths are the the same as the standard rads. any chance you could get pics with it on with a pa120.2?
wow great stuff dave! I assume they sell in packs of 4 - but maybe its better to sell in packs of 6, that way people can use them for floor mount of radiators in tj07/v2xxx cases
but i think these are designed specifically for the 5.25" bays. floor/roof mount rads dont even really need brackets.Quote:

I don't have any PA120's lying around however the bracket can be adjusted in every conceivable way. I believe it will hold any radiator that will fit in a 5.25 bay.
Also these will be sold in 4-Packs.
With four brackets on you cannot even move the rad at all!
Trust me it's overkill on strength, but I would rather over kill it than under kill it!
Would 140mm rads fit?
If the rad will fit into the standard 5.25" bay (which is actually 5.75") then it should fit.Quote:

The rad bracket is an excellent idea for really unlocking the watercooling potential of Stacker type cases. Nice one :)

what's the ETA of shops selling these? i need to buy the last few pieces of WC equipment in about a week, but i'm willing to wait 2 weeks max. any chance it will hit stores by then?
I'll be cutting these Monday and off to the painters by Tuesday.
Should be about a week before I get them back and then I'll immediately
send them out to the shops along with the new "X" Bracket.
So they should be ready within two weeks. :up:
This really bugs me out about cutting the 5,25" cage a couple of weeks ago. :shakes:

generic L brackets work pretty well for some ghetto mounting, but I agree that these have long been needed and it's surprising they've never really been made available by someone prior :o

armeniandave, since im also in SD area, would it be possible for me to just come to where ever you are and pick up/buy the brackets? i'm just trying to get it as fast as possible rather than wait for these to ship to distributors, wait for them to list it, buy and pay for it, and wait for them to ship it to me. and do you already have a list of distributors that will be carrying these?

Actually a standard 5.25" bay is 5.75"
That's the standard that they came up with way back when.
Measure any DVD/CD burner and that width is the width of the bay.

BTW I also have some new SSD mounts coming out called the "X" Bracket. I'll start a new thread in a moment on them.
These will be a sure deal for people and really expand the realm of cases people choose to go liquid with. I know for sure these would have made my life easier when I was cutting out L brackets w/ the old dremel last year when doing a rad-to-bay drive mount. Would have made things look so much better too. When I take my Lian Li PCP80 parts and decide to give them life sometime in this year I will be in need of these for sure. :)

So far Sidewinders and PPC's will have them.
I'm still waiting on a few other shops so

zeropluszero there is always the Lian Li brackets.
They do work there just a bit more industrial looking than mine are. Nothing wrong with it, it's just a different style.

as i said dave, i was unaware of the lian li ones.
i'm thinking i'll hold out and get yours, because quite frankly, you deserve it. i have a pump stand, and it's fantastic. i need a second one anyway as well.

now just get a store in australia to sell your products ie. PCCG or GAMmods and i'll be set :) *hint hint*
I just thought of a good use for these and your z-brackets. Mount your radiator with these and then add to Z brackets to the radiator on the inside portion of the case and you now have a place to mount an EK Multioption Res.
I would love to pick up a set of these. I have the Lain Li one, but don't really like it very much.

Dave, I have one question, what's the thickness of metal that is used for this brackets? I am building system with thermochill PA140.3 and I am going to install it into the drive bays of Lian Li P80 so there is only 2mm or less on each side between rad and bay panels.
I am teasing my mind whether your bracket will work or not :D If there is any chance that it works in my particular case I'll pick them with my next order at PPCs just to check how it goes.
Well 2mm is .078 inches and the brackets are .075 thick!
It will be close but definetly doable. There is a little flex
in the cages also.

The screws are the largest size that would go through the standard size DVD holes. I included one for each bracket and even though they look fragile there actually quite strong. I actually picked up the case when I was testing them!
I couldn't find any screws that size with bigger heads either. Also I didn't include the radiator screws because there seems to be different sizes among the different rads out there and I don't want to be responsible for messing any of those holes up.
