No prizes and the most boring benchmark ever? I'll pass. :D
I will post my score here.
I like Cinebench! Not the greatest of the benchmarks, but quite fun to tweak for. :)
I don't have an account over there, but I think I've got the leading AMD score for the moment at around 24500.
Very dirty! Very minimal tweaking..

No cinebench chew*?
air, watter? I dont remmeber this score :)...13 000 up in 32 is great.
LOL! I see it now. I missed it the first time. Nice!
The best Im gonna get with this ram.

My first run on stable settings (not prime stable this time of the year :p:)
http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/368...x643850mhz.png
Vista x64 and some background tasks ....
This time different OS (XP x64) and 12x NB multi, everything else same:
http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/777...643850mhzx.png
NOTICE!
Voltage is 1.52V (1.4V AOD +0.1V in BIOS and some lovely overvolt from mobo)
What a change of OS and some more NB can do to such a CPU limited app.!
Drop divider and watch it not effect score ;)
NB makes little impact.....64 bit makes a diff in score in one bench not recognized in comp ( etc no point in using it then )........Try this on ln2 in 64 bit. When ln2 nets you a whopping 4.2 gig you will see the light.

Lightman, great score, more than 16 000 in 64-bit is impressive...
I should say, I was working on getting pi times down as well as trying to get CB10 score up. Working on the 2 was not working for me.

m411b, nice man, 13 000 up in 32bit!!!!
my 64 now:) (win 7)
http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/4...4bit3792mh.png
Very nice scores FlanK3r & m411b!
My best in 32bit so far was shy of 4GHz as seen on both screen shots :) So chew* score is unbeatable for now! I might try 32bit tomorrow just to see if I can push 4.08GHz ...
I've also heard that Win7 scheduler is much better at distributing tasks across cores, so one would hope it will do even better than good old XP x64!
I'm trying to install Win7 for 2 months now (laziness) ! I will get it done eventually (this year for sure :p:).
Still workin!

Well since I never really focused on this save for an all bench stable screen I decided to see how far this particular cpu can go.......
Win 7 32 bit, just installed and already hammering it.

Chew: nice 1:up:, for my is hard get 13 000 points in 32-bit, today i break it. Your post was with watter?
daveburt: very nice, you atack 17 000 points with single socket CPU, whau...
Oh guys :( My joy didn't last very long :p:
That's very good proof that 955BE is on average better than 940BE.
Daveburt714 I knew you will come and beat me because I've remembered your old scores posted in AMD section
Here is your cookie(monster):

Asmola, what is your next setings? Buss speed, DDR..? Thx
I have only 15 719 with 3819MHz and 2814Mhz NB (win 7)
http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/8...t3818mhznb.jpg
My run was with 275fsb(cpu x14 nb x10) and memory at 5-5-5-15-20 T2 1100MHz.. Dont know why but this system run sooo smoothly!:) And those are my 24/7 settings.
i heard, the win Vista is for Cinebench better than win 7, its possible?
This is for you FlanK3r and m411b.... :D
It's unusually cool here tonight for summer, and that may have something to do with this result, but I finally got a good CB10 run over 4Ghz on a 64 bit OS (Win7)...
See this thread: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=230160
The score is only marginally better than the one I got with my 940, but the cool aspects are that this was done with an unlocked X2 550, I broke the 4Ghz barrier for 64bit/CB10, and I did it at a lower V's on the Core and the IMC...
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3..._4Ghz_CB10.png
chew*: FWIW man, I tried dropping my mem clocks down to 1066 (DDR2 speeds) and it really didn't seem to help... Don't get me wrong, your input is ALWAYS welcomed, but it seems like lowering the mem clocks may help more at sub zero than it does at ~ambient temps...
Congrats Dave on breaking 4GHz Cinebench 64bit under normal cooling conditions
My CPU can't do that. I've tried even 1.68V and cold air, but all attempts were futile :p:
Good job Dave! I am still working on the 4Ghz. I have to reinstall vista 64 and then we will make some more numbers! :)
We need a chart. :)
davebart
very cool! But u are second with AIRcooling and one x4 CPU :)
watch this:
from overcloknet, overcloker WaLshy11: 17 187points !!!

Running Cinebench at 4GHz is easy but how to obtain a decent score?
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...bench13069.jpg
in 64 bit
Zeus, its good score for 32 bit, all more than 13 000 in 32 bit is very great, but higher scores are in x64 :). U can try it (16 000 is super and more)
Lets see what you 64 bit guys got :D
http://members.cox.net/hoobahans/955...table%2018.jpg
Only 18k chew? I thought you can do better.....
lol nice benchmarks man!
My 550 --> X4 can't even run Cinebench 64-bit stable at anything over 3.79GHz.
hehe, good, but LN2, right? Next u can try x64 AIR or water, record is now 17 187 with AIR and with X4 Phenom (retail)
Finally hit 16k! Ambient temps are a lot lower today, about 20 degrees Celsius. Also overclocked my NB + RAM significantly higher:
http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/7...802770840w.jpg
good work, il try tomorow.
Guys, try running the test repeatedly for better scores. You can gain about 500-1000 points compared to the first run ;)
I can’t run with chew but here is my 32-bit result.

impressive, how was yourt setings and cooling?
are those the AMD ocz kit? gold or plat?
Well... I got bored tonight and decided to try and tweak this a little further.. :p:
To be fair, I'm on water and I turned off all the unimportant services, but I finally broke 17k (even beat your guy FlanK3r).. :D
I tried cranking the memory, it's rated at 1600, but I couldn't get those clocks with decent timings, so I just pushed as hard as I could with tight timings...
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...7_17k_CB10.png
Not too shabby! I'm really happy with this 550, I get the feeling the 965's are gonna rock... Just what I need, another processor (evil Grin)... ;)
oMG....very nice score, the best with watter Daveburt
The best of the best to time:) in x64:
1)extreme cooling (DICE, LN2 etc):- Chew* 18 704 points
2)watter: - Daveburt714 17 255 points
3)only AIR: - WaLshy11: 17 187points
Great work guys!
17K + is really nice! Now just render some nice animations on that settings and show them to us :D
These are my scores since I got my Phenom II in January. Most are on the 0905 BIOS on this M3A79-T Deluxe motherboard, but two are with the new 1102 BIOS and Catalyst 9.7 drivers. My CPU is clocked at 3.2Ghz Core/2.4Ghz Northbridge for all tests. Also, I have a brief description of the Hyper Transport options I had enabled or disabled. From those tests I can conclude that with this motherboard, the 905 BIOS, Catalyst 9.7 drivers, and ram with a high clock and low timings will have the highest performance for this particular setup. My OpenGL scores blow all of you away with this stock clocked HD4970 :yepp:.
http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r...BR10Scores.jpg
Very nice comparison at the same CPU freq.!
But look at the first page for my OGL scores:p:. I've beat you with my CF (which doesn't do much for C4D) and underclocked cards. :p:
Anyway, Cat.9.7 seems to give nice performance in OGL. and your scores are excellent with that CPU freq.
You beat my OpenGL score by 3 full points with a Crossfire setup!
One thing is for certain, Cat 9.7 has revived ATI OpenGL! I'm hoping we get a little rain in my area today in Houston so I can turn the A/C on, get the house really cold, and overclock to 3.7 or 3.8Ghz today. I'll add a little FSB to bring my 1066 DDR2 that I run at 800 to ~1000 at 4-5-5-15 timings.
I improved my score a little. I may try 64 bit next.
http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...13663score.png
What's the highest score for a non Phenom or Phenom II chip? I can push about 6000, not bad for what I've got.
the oldtimer: very nice and how was cooling?
I felt a bit left out so after i installed windows 7 64bit on my brand new Samsung F1 1TB i decided to do some cinebenching.
Here's what i came up with:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...bench17441.jpg
Room temp was 25ºC so i couldn't really push it.
Btw, this is watercooled. ;)
whau, nice!!!!
Fantastic!
Zeus, you're a god :p:
http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/5341/27693698.jpg
Ok so I cheated :P
Watercooling + 955 = high NB!!
Thnx guys.
i was, i am a myth now. :D
Tnx man.
Hehe, of course.
Mind you, i was benching in a 25ºC ambient and tbh, wasn't trying really hard.
I got 168xx at 4050MHz with NB at 2.6GHz so i raised NB a tad and got this result.
I think this system has a little more to give so i'm prepared to fight you when you beat my score. :D :toast:
I can take that screenshot down if it bothers you Dave. You still have the best score for the 550 class. ;)
Next days il updated first post with Cinebench table...Il distinction between 32-bit and 64-bit OS.
Windows 7 32-bit run with the 965be, not a lot of tuning done though.
Liquid cooling (cool water)
http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...nglwin7-32.png
Hey guys,
am I allowed to participate with that? It's AMD... ;)
http://database.he-computer.de/Bilde.../8347_CB10.jpg
:ROTF: :wasntme:
jcool:hehe, nice,with 4 opterons u are maybe winner (someone with 4xIstanbuls here :-D ? )
Winner of what, exactly? :D
Possibly the "Cinebench does not scale with >8 threads.. AT ALL" price? :D
High clocked Intel Dual LGA771's destroy everything in CB10. It's the best arch CB10 was optimized for, small wonder considering the age of that renderer.
Seriously, we need something new on the Cinebench front.
But this thread is only for AMD AIR/watter :). Here cant Intel winner :) ( disqualification:D)
I mean, Cinebench scale with more than 8 threads, maybe not so lienar. I seen i9 Gulftown (6cores, 12 threads) and was better than i7 Nehalem
Yeah it does scale a little, but still.. with the Quad Opteron and the Dual Gainstown (both have 16 threads) I always watch the last 4-5 seconds as a single thread completes the picture, while the others are doing nothing.
Plus, there is too much time lost with the initial scaling build-up (it takes a few seconds until all threads are rendering).
Amd 965be, Windows 7 64-bit, the best score was 17,678.

your x4 955 is great...Think, stable at 3.95 GHz? How is your max stabil run?
and what with 1.47V or so?:) Can u try?
Damn oldtimer, your 965BE just knocked me down...:zombie:
What temp is your "cool water" ?
I tried for all i'm worth but with a 24ºC ambient the limit is 4080MHz and not a MHz more. :nono:
Still managed to improve my score some:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...bench17530.jpg
I'm positive with some cooler ambient it will do 4.1GHz as well. ;)
Zeus, IMO that’s a great score for a 955 , I tested Cinebench 10 with my 955 a couple of weeks back with Windows 7 64-bit and it just didn’t like 4GHz or above at all but the 965 doesn’t mind that clock in 64-bit at all. I swapped the gigabyte out and installed the MSI GD70 to rerun Cinebench in 64-bit just in case I left something on the table :D. Anyway to answer your question the temp varies but it idles on average 18C+/- @1.54-1.55V and load temp I have no idea because I shut down everything I don’t need while testing.
BTW did you catch the earlier 32-bit Cinebench test of the 965 in which it broke 14K under the cool water? :)
Thanks man. ;)
Do you reckon the MSI will unleash some untapped power?
If you idle around 18ºC you must be using a very nice chiller!
You'd rather call it cold water instead of cool. :) Any pics of that set up?
I saw that 14K run, unbelievable you could run it at 4280MHz! Did you have to back down all the way to 4.1GHz due to the 64 bit OS?
