Anyone have pics of both side by side? I ordered some Primochill Pro Lrt but it looks more orange than red so was thinking about ordering some Feser instead but don't want to waste money if it's going to look the same...
It all looks the same bright red in the pics both Feser and Primochill provide which really looks nothing like the tubing in person...
My P-LRT looks orange as well, kind of an in-between of red and orange. The Blood Red on the Classified motherboard glows Orange as well, same shade as my tube, so I am pretty sure the orange we see if as 'red' as UV Red gets.

Yea, i think frozenQ was having the same problem when sourcing UV red acrylic. It seems UV red likes to turn orange under the UV lamp.

I orderd feser tubing, and when it arrived the colour was good until it came under UV light, then it turned a pink/orange type colour....
I imagine Kunst is talking about under UV light.
One thing I've found is tubing color can vary - even within the same brand. So we've got to be a bit careful assuming everyone's tubing is going to look the same as what we have :) And, obviously, you'll see some color differences within the same brands if the wall thicknesses are different.
I have yet to see a UV red product that is actually red under UV light.
Yea, I think it is the UV tint or whatever it is that makes it orange. This tubing looks like if it wasn't UV it would be a nice shade of red. I don't use UV lights I do have white led's though and I think they have a strange reaction with the UV because they make the tubing look a really nasty kind of brown/orangish color. If I take a picture of it with flash though it looks normal red. Very strange, I think I will just look for a different color of tubing...

I think it's because red has the longest wavelength in the visible light spectrum. This can affect it's ability to absorb and emit photons. But for orange, it's easier to emit photons.
LOL, I wouldn't mind as long as it was red with normal led lights and not brown/orange! I think I am just going to order some black tubing. Black is Black right not like grey or blue or pink or anything else? :ROTF:Quote:

I also prefer to buy stuff made in the USA whenever possible (which Primochill is and feser is not), plus I despise feser and their attitude/business model.
Haven't gone the Feser coolant route and I don't reckon I ever will...the voice on the Feser site frightens me.
Orange juice tastes better than Pepto Bismol anyway.
The purple of the ultraviolet light is distorting the red (which is at the opposite end of the color spectrum.) If it's turning orange try to shine a red LED on it, that may make it look more red. If it's turning pink, try an orange or red LED, that may make it look more red. Lighting is tricky stuff, you have to balance the red/ blue/ green (the three primary colors for light). Its not like mixing paint, where red and green mix to form brown; in lighting: red and green mix to form yellow. The mixing of colored light is called "additive" mixing, as opposed to "subtractive" adding of colors when mixing paint. So you might want to experiment with different colored LED's or cold cathodes. You might also just try bathing it in lots of red light, but that might make it more pink, I'm not sure.
My Primoflex Pro LRT is fairly black. Maybe the faintest tint of brown, but it's only noticeable because I have some unused tubing sitting on a piano chair (and we all know piano black is as black as it gets :yepp:).Quote:

Actually with injuries that involve arteries, the blood is light red because it is oxygenated. With injuires that involve veins, the blood is the dark blueish tint (de-oxygenated blood).Quote:

Not true artery blood is bright red due to being oxygenated, its the deoxygenated Blood in veins that has the deep red.Quote:
