I can only imagine how easy LN2 overclocking will be :up: Full pot of LN2 and OC station next to you.. just click, click, click and you are done :D

Nex I will try this setup on air. There is only one silent fan on this setup, so I do not expect too high overclocks. Phenom II scales directly with temperature, so we will see.

These parts will be inside of the "SF3D OC Bronze" gaming PC ;) More info about this will follow soon.

whau, im curious at AIR max validation, some benches and max stabilitiy clock at AIR. Good work Sf3d !

Got the system running short while a go. Board seems to be very good!

Cooling conditions are not optimal now, but it was still doing well. I will show some screens tomorrow.

very nice mobo wish i could have on already. the Crosshair II oc's phenom II's better than any other mobo i have so this thing has to be insane :D

Can you probe that puppy for me and show us vdroop under load SF3d?

Looks like the 8 leg IC top of board closest to blue dimm slot may be "A" read point, probably not the best but should give us an idea at least.

With your mentality I am going to make one board that works real well and call it the OMG WTF 1337 HAX edition.......all other boards to follow are going to be utter :banana::banana::banana::banana: but you will buy them because the first one was good and you will buy based on a name only.....

the crosshair series has always been spot on for volts is what i meant the crosshair I and crosshair II have been spot on for voltages. its part of the series the boards are meant for overclocking voltages should be spot on thats part of the name.

FYI the PWM is identical to that of the m4a79 deluxe which you have not used and that has major problems with voltage regulation.......Which is why I requested what I requested.....

Vdroop is 0.01V in any condition. Without LLC enbled it is the same as M4A79T Deluxe. (0.06-0.07V)

But well, it seems that the latest bios is not the best possible. Some weird issues with NB multipliers etc.

isn't the design the same 8+2 PWM they use on the entire top end line up? like the crosshair II, M4N82, M4A78, etc?

and i wouldn't call it a love for asus as much as a hate for GB. i used several of there boards and dislike the design and setup.

also if your counting i have 2 Asus mobo's, 2 XFX, 1 jetway, 1 abit and 2 ECS i really don't mind brands i pick what looks best for the money. oh and honestly my favorite mobo as of right now is a little MATX XFX 8200 board its the best little mobo i have personally ever used, but it also only has a little sempron dual core on it so a real chip may give me a different opinion on it

and here is case in point its funny how the flagship mobo has no vdroop issue's which is exactly what i said would happen

@SF3D you don't have anything close to a retail BIOS yet right? its just an early beta?

Just because its 8 + 2 does not mean its identical..........case in point take a close look at an x38 asus versus an x48 asus.......can you see a diff? No but one board loves 45nm and the other doesn't...

My main concern is not vdroop because I know how to work with it......more so if the voltages remain consistent throught the entire voltage range.....

If requested 1.35v = 1.29-1.28 I would hate to see what you call vdroop....

Most of the more experienced guys don't use LLC just some FYI ;) making that .01 a moot point....but was nice of SF3D to add that......

Be interested if the voltage holds true with that droop throughout all voltage ranges or gets a mind of its own after 1.63v as does the m4a79 deluxe which decides to toss 1.675- 1.70v when once you go past 1.625v........

No Vdroop is worse than a small Vdroop ;)

No, I have Vdroop on all my setups :-)

Vdroop is there just to be sure that cheap PWM designs will not fail under high load. If you have some droop, you can use cheaper parts etc.

Board without droop is very good for overclocking. In this case, the board is optimized for high current flow through PCB and Vdroop is minimal. I can tell you, it is a lot better than M4A under hevay conditions.

Board is more stable on extreme conditions, that is for sure.

First I have to apologize, that I haven't got any time to update this thread.

I just put these parts together and started to look where I can get with very quiet aircooling on the CPU.

Results are expected and the temprerature is the limiting factor.

This is very solid motherboard for basic overclockers, but I have a feeling, that this mobo will show it's full potential only under very Xtreme conditions. On air everything is just too easy with this.

Only negative sidenote is the PCI-E slots. Only 2 is not enough at the moment. 3 would have been good and 4 perfect. Well.. 5870X2 or something similar will fix the lack of PCI-E sockets.

Wonder, what exactly are those A-Data D9GTR? (I understand that its Micron D9GTR.. but which ones has those inside? :) )

Ive got my CPU and ram but that board is worth waiting for since im planning to some benching under Ln2 ;)

SF3D, any idea how much that OC Station will cost? Is it a worth upgrade for someone into benching?

Ram is A-Data 1600X 2GB set. (The old one) Those are the safe clocks, so nothing special in there yet :)

OC station is nice with this board, but you dont need it with some other ASUS boards. It is very easy to use and looks quite good on the table.

one step further today. My room is just too hot for aircooling :(

Well.. memory seems to overclock well on this motherboard. I can use 7-6-5-16-33 settings easily at 2.15V. NB seems to clock well too.

Memory is still 7-6-6-16-35 in this screen.

SF3D .... I was wondering if this board has the ability to unlock cores on x2 and x3 chips?

nice with 1.4...TRy max AIR OC andmax validation with AIR too. And superpi, cinebench please (i need setings for 16 000+ Cinebench R10 64, i have only 15 500 to time :( )

Found a place in the UK that has just got them in stock £140.45 OVERCLOCK.CO.UK.

Would this board be a better pick over the m4a79t deluxe for watercooling the 955?
Price difference doesn't seem to be too high, but I don't have a clue what would be better.

this board very amazing if we run with under xtreme cooling..Sampsa tell about that I think right....I try with under Xtreme Colling and good very stable...

but than...i want see Cinebench r64 under LN2 ,-) (i never seen it to time)

Cinebench 10 Very hard run higher clock with LN2 on higher 5.8ghz....:D:D

Got this board myself and voltages seem a lot more stable than my M4A79 deluxe (with LCC enabled that is).

When will the OC station be available? Looks like it goes perfect with this board!
