jumped into AMD ........955 testing with M4A79T Deluxe
-
6.0GHz just never loses it's sweetness does it? ;)
Very nice.
-
a litte bump to the 4870X2 and you would have been in 30K single card 3D06 territory
-
Nice scores!
A quick question:) In the last 2 3dmark06 screenies whats the diffrent there except 150mhz? You increase the cpu score from 77xx to high 84xx with 150mhz? :O
-
-
impressive work, well done
-
thanks guys, we are looking for a better CPU and than wil freeze the vga's
-
giorgio very good work mate
did you have to do any vmods to the m/b ?

Oh :banana::banana::banana: so xp did that
Good to know, i always knew xp was better but wasnt expecting that huge increase:)
-
Great results Guy's
impressive 3dmark05 !
-
GP - "clock for fun" ;)
Nice work my friend!
-
good work guys, I'll be picking up one of these to try soon i think :D
-
god start gentlemen
looking forward to see some more damamage comming , when the chip is found
keep pushing it

150 mhz x 4 cores = 600 mhz more processing power, buddy :D
anyways sweet scores and nice volts. 1.5 is not shabby for 6 ghz :D lol
-
thanks again guys :)

CPU-Z bug, we were around 1.82V
-
very nice! these 955's are really rockin! Can you get more than 6Ghz? :)
-
Good job ;) What about NB ? Can't you go higher than 3G ? Or maybe DDR2/DDR3 IMC are different (i'm only familiar with DDR2 version at the moment)
-
Very nice start!
Let's hope, that the next samples will be better :)
-
Very nice results, 4GHz+ on water 3d stable is as impressive as the 6GHz LNē results. But why so low on CPU-NB for the LNē runs?
-
very nice start there giorgio and team italy :toast: happy to see you playing with 955. crossing my fingers your next chip does 6.1+ gig 3D :D
-
-
Great clocks and nice scores. I'm waiting to see 6ghz+ on another 955 :]
-
Btw, how much voltage did it take to bench at 4.1?
-
nice start m8 ;) cant nb go higher ?:)
-
congrats, nice result for first try ;)
-
goods results. congrats.
max ram frequency stable? i cannot obtain 1600+ stable on the motherboard :(
-
very good on that chip i have the exact same stepping as you wonderful little prerelease chips.
just wondering why such low NB speeds mine was able to do 3.6ghz on DICE but very very good scores :D
-
we didn't make a really deep test, but about the NB that one seems the max stable one with extreme low temps....
BTW, we need some more time to understand the new AMD architecture

The OS didn't do all of that.. Notice the score is higher with lower CPU MHz in the 2nd to last pic (32xxx compared to 29xxx). The NB MHz are almost 500 MHz higher with lower CPU speed and the score is ~3K higher. NB speed really makes horsepower on the Phenom II.
I bet if the same OS had been used the score would have been closer, but I still think the lower CPU and higher NB would have won :)
EDIT: Awesome stuff, Giorgioprimo :D

Ryder.....XP really does make that much of a diff.......We benched win7 at the same identical settings as XP.......300 - 400 points easy difference. Vista is the same.
BTW long time no see.

300 - 400 yes... This is 3000 points, unless I went blind. Lower CPU MHz winning ;)
2nd to last screenshot: 32819 score ~5.8GHz ~2.7GHz NB clock
Last Screenshot: 29618 score 6.0GHz ~2.2GHz NB clock
Same ram speed and timings on both. Same GPU's and clocks too

CPU scores......make a huge diff.
take a look at point diff of CPU scores between os's, higher cpu boosts SM 2.0 and SM 3.0 which makes a huge diff in the overall score.
-
Are you looking at the same thing as I am?
The higher score is in Vista with a lower CPU score.. or are we talking about 2 different things?
Not trying to argue..:)

Yah i'm seeing that but your not seeing quadfire versus X fire ;)
GPU-z 2 X gpus's enabled versus 4 x gpu's enabled.

Thank you.. that is what I was missing.
Now someone delete all these posts because I look like an idiot !!

Good to see ya again ryder.

i have problems to come over 2,5GHz
