Doesn't appear to carry over the 16+2 phase power arrangement of it's larger sibling
-
Nice lookin package for being so compact
-
I really want this board! I hate waiting!
-

I thought I read somewhere... or maybe I guessimated based on the Press release of Asus's last board and the date it hit shelves, but I was hoping it would be early March... Now I'm not sure :(
-
I wish they would put the 4x pci-e at the top and remove the pci slot so you can have sli and a sound card....Who needs a pci slot anymore?:D
-
Great board! Any ETA yet for Europe??
Gr Yil
-
I wonder if this or the DFI JR will be the better overall board.

LLLLEEEGGAACCCYYYY!!!! FTW!
-
-
I wonder if it can beat DFi JR... (my opinion, it cant.. neither with price or performace..). Tough, its nice to have some options when choosing high performace mATX mobo.. now only sized down eVGA and Bloodrage. :D
-
This is really nice... Like it..
-
wow, it's beautiful. I would be nice in lian li V350. how much is it?
-
I would be better in a Lian Li V351 ;)
Ultimo Combo :D:D

03/31 was the last date I heard (North America) -- I apologize, I don't recall the source of that info... it was supposed to be the beginning of March, but got delayed.
-
Sorry to "hijack" ZoLKoRn's thread but we have one of these lil' beauties on hand here :D http://forum.crazypc.ro/showthread.php?t=10658

does this support crossfire of two of the 4870x2? or two GTX 295s?

It has two x16 slots with full speed, so I guess it will support this. Tough, except 3D Mark dont find any use for that.. scaling ends with tri-sli or triple crossfire, than its just waste of money.

guess the next question would be would it fit in a HTPC with dual GTX 295s in there if there such a case then I mind as well get it.
-
A reputable e-tailer has them in stock.

Heh, yea, thats a good question.. well, maybe that small Lian-Li cube.. Ive seen HD 4870X2 in there.. so I guess GTX295 should fit too. Tough, I would try alternate cooling in that case (water).
-
I try this board amazing we can set multi 21 with non turbo mode...for while I can reach BCLK 221 with this board :D:D

Any feel-able differences between the three bios revisions?
-
How does this mobo compare vs the DFI one? More headroom? less headroom?
-
-
Anyone have a D0 stepping chip to throw on this board?
-
-
-
-
Nice looking board. Did anyone notice the battery on it how it is standing up over in the top right corner. Never seen one like that.
-
well i just got my board from xPCgear, i guess it depends on what you buy from them on the kind of service you get... though all the times i had to call to get a CC issue taken care of cause of the bank, didnt take long to get someone. 90% of the time i got the same person on the phone..
as a note one thing i havent seen any one talk about is the fact the board has mounting holes for both sockets 1366/775. i was hoping it would have both, that why i have some leeway before i go wc'ing.

Nice result jugeen.
Evilsizer, I was also happy to see the 775 mounting holes. Now I don't have to buy the TRUE bolt kit.
-
i'm very interested in teh matx but i heard bad things about this guys big brother. thanks for hte info.
-
Cant wait for some benches and results

Interesting FYI about the "X-Fi" sound card; It's actually a ADI AD2000B with X-Fi software emulation.

I'm having a ratio issue and for the life of me can't figure it out. I am unable to reach 190+ bclock regardless of what I do. Even with the lowest mutli I am still unable to get it to boot. I am rock solid at 21 x 189 but no further.
21 x 189
HT = On
Tubro = Off
Vcore = 1.36
QPI = 1.35
-
try giving her more QPI
for me, 1.4 is where she took off.

thanks alot bud, 230blck here also.. didnt test the superpi yet but it boots fine.. btw, why have you have disabled load line calibration?

Is it normal for the LAN port to stop working above a PCI-E speed of 101 or setting the case clock over 215 ?

anyone have an opinion on this board V. the DFI M-ATX offering? which one would you pick?

For those of you with this board, is the lcd poster useful at all. I bought an open box board and it didnt come with the poster and now I'm wondering whether its worth it to get it or not...Thanks

I find it very useful. When I bench I have it set to display voltages. When I'm simply gaming I have it set to display temperatures. Just go to the asus store and order the parts u need. Problem is if you paid close to $200 for the board those to parts will cost you almost $30 and the i/o shield is not listed anyway.

I paid $170 for the board open box. I called ASUS earlier today and they said they would send me the I/O shield for free whenever they get it in since its not on the store yet, :) I ordered a flex sli bridge off ebay for 10.50 shippped. The problem now is that the lcd poster is out off stock.... :shakes: But at least I got everything I need to function now. The lcd poster will cost me $20 after shipping, as of now I'm not convinced its worth it. All input about the external lcd poster is helpful. :cheer::cheer:
-
Well it only displays time, temps, volts, or fan rpm. U have to select one of these options. As far as error reporting goes, it's not necessary because this board recovers beautifully from failed overclocks. It even has a button on board to reset memory to standard while leaving all settings intact should u fail to post. For the price u paid I wouldn't bother since its only use it hardware monitoring and boot diagnosis.

hehe dono why his done that. maybe the MB i vmodded. I have enabled load line calibration and my vcore is much more stable.:yepp:

Has anyone gotten this board to play nice with Hyper ICs yet? I'm on 0705 BIOS and it won't let me manually set my RAM to 2000 7-8-7-21 1.65v. Whenever I do so it boots but there is just a black screen. Apparently I'm not the only one ether, http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?...Language=en-us
BTW, my kit is Kingston KHX16000D3ULT1K3/3GX.

i also have better luck w/ 21x. ht on works best too.

I'm actually using 25x at the moment (not on a 920). I was trying with 145blck and just setting my RAM frequency a tad over 2GHz. What QPI voltage do you need Chinstrap?
-
<1.45
the *lowest qpi i have gotten it stable @ is 1.45 - but that number goes up when base clock goes up.
-
Tried increasing this value : Back-to-back CAS delay... makes the board far more stable but it looses some performance
-
I´m trying to get my memories to run in 1700Mhz + but it never boots or when it boots it fails loading Windows. Running 172x21 and mem at ~1724Mhz. Dram Voltage at 1,65v and Qpi/Dram at 1.2750.
Bios 0601 so i hope someone have some good tips :)

I would start with raising qpi vtt or setting to auto. Auto seems to overvolt for my liking but if it boots, check and see what it set to then work your way down from it until it doesn't then work your way up until you find stability.
-
I have exactly the same rigg as Ante and i have tried everything from auto to lots of volt.
But anything over 1600mhz and it doesn`t boot.
I had the first bios but changed it to 0705 with no result....
What 24/7 seting do u use?
-
0808 BIOS should be out shortly, it will help... ;)

I couldn't get mine do do much over 225BCLK with Kingston HyperX's on Dice. I wouldn't get ur hopes up too far. Same chip I used in Gene did 5+GHz in Evga Classified pretty easy.

I have the same problem pretty much. 200Bclk, 21X, but I if I raise mem to 1600 even if I loosen the timings all the way and play around with every voltage I could think of, I can't even get it to post. The mem is rated for 1600 9-9-9-24
