Hello guy :p: I think that everyone here would be fimiliar with HighPerformance System.... And for you thought it was boring ... today ... i have something new to show :D

on setup for system is CPU working under 100MHz :p:

BTW you should try Cinebench R10 Single CPU :rofl: I couldn't wait till the end at 112MHz Phenom II!

It may seem slow but only about 15-years ago that system would had been killer fast. It would be nice to know how it compared against 100mhz 486 :D

I remember back in the day when i had to use turbo-button to overclock 486 from 40mhz to 66mhz for playing doom. After some time it would crash but i was just too young to know that better heatsink+fan might have done the trick to get it stable :)

Keep... umm.. pushing it?

I notice a slight vcore drop for the last few tests, I really would've thought 0.5v would be more than enough for 24/7 stability at 1GHz :shocked:

Nice way to test!.... definately a bit different. Is the VCore accurate? Sometimes silicon doesnt like having the voltage reduced too much... if PheII scales all the way down, it really opens up some options for picking the thermal dissipation a user wants... with the benfits in cooling and size :D

fellas, lowest voltage is somewhat 0.75 on cpu's due to the design of an diode, which an transistor has.

They need 0.7 V ~. i can tell for sure, you wont see a cpu with current designs @ lower than 0.6 V ( which is when the diode start conducting.)

so 0.6 is absolute lowest voltage, i ran my PHII 940 @ 0.76 V stable 30 min dual orthos @ 800 mhz :D
Was damn cold that chip. want an silent HTPC with power, buy an PHII and downclock and give it 0.9 V or something ;D

Anyways, kool session, Now I really want to see an P1 90 mhz compete!

Impressive! That shows progress... the screenshot below is a Cyrix M2 PR300 (225MHz) running Pi 1M on Win2K Server - note the slower time despite the much faster clock speed...

I suppose the extra wad of cache does its job with the Phenom, it'll kick every old CPU's butt if compared directly. Wasn't expecting it to beat a VIA CPU at 1GHz+ though. :D

I already tried for it too but it can't unless if no any heatsink temps will up to 70 ํC on IHS to fast after load :)

It can't drop Vcore to below 0.8V if need some benching, i already tried at 0.800V it'll can't bench 2k6 :)

Ah yes i see with you too because i can't drop it to much but maybe if i try using watercooling on CPU maybe we'll can drop Vcore to much ;)

The intel one was especially fun, see how the OS was wigging out? That was a machine I just pulled out of the closet at work one day and booted it up. The AMD machine was a customer's machine at the computer shop I also worked at.

If its and AGP card there should be an option to reduce the multi, assuming its x4 or x8 to begin with.
Perhaps reducing the bus speed would help?

Well HT link and NB are still running normal speeds. So cooling might be necessary.

WOW Amazing stuff. I can not believe that it would even run those tests at that CPU speed!
