just want to see this one once on a high clocked AMD.
since i like clocking memory i ran some tests in win7 all speed stable in memtest.
a funny thing happens with mem @900mhz ganged anything booted over 3350nb results in 2.2mhz in windows must be bios bug
the gigabyte board were do i start it cant clock "my memory" for nothing anything over 1600 i hit a hard wall must be (hopefully)the bios there is a update online which i didnt flash yet. so for now my current love is this asus board, never thought i say that:ROTF: gonna do some more testing to see if i can hit 1000mhz on this mem and try some 3d later on.:coffee:
i got 30lbs of dryice let me see if i can get some 3dmark06 with this early early stepping

Nice start guys! Now show us some more :D
im riding solo now
nice to see DDR3 AMD results but at 5GHz, you should be right around the 14 second flat mark in 1M. is there something up with the OS you were benching on or doing stuff in the background?
thanks
were using win7 and im a noob at pi but this is gonna turn out to be a memory night :ROTF:
ddr3 1856 im going tot try to raise the nb now

i see this in my future:fact:

i'm talking 14 flat at 5GHz...
http://images.hardwarecanucks.com/im.../l_spi1m-1.png
but very nice looking bandwidth
@Jody...Nice runs there:up:
We just try to get a hold on MSIMax 945ES stepping 1.
Too bad that we can;t get those good silicon like the one @ crazy oc'd thread:D
Well, its fun for me considering my FX57 cold bugged like crazy just to SS @ 4Ghz
im trying to do a 06 run
Nice work!
Are you able to reach the DDR3-2000 somehow?
its kept acking funky maybe with some better tuning gotta play with those options
why such high timings?
tightening them up would likely boost bandwidth a good deal I'd think.
you know what xtreme is benching for 15 hours strait:cool: my wife woke up started laughing at me and called me a mad scientist:rofl:

dumo the 295 kept locking at the boat i was running out of dice so i used my 4870x2 and it went through
i tried so hard to catch you i was out of dice and started pouring in the last of the real ice that formed in the box:rofl: maybe next time

the asus board is beastly non stop oc and it took it on the chin
*gigabyte* get your act together and make a good bios for your board
thats it im done :zombie::hitself::yawn2:
Nice work msimax/Dumo! Appreciate all the effort. Your wife is a very understanding woman! My wife barks at me and says, " I will be glad when you are done messing around with your computer".
You know, how the Asus board shuts completely off, then restarts after a bios change, and the fans spin up to 100%, then a post beep....over.....and over.....and over :D
i take it my ES made its way to you?
if so its a granny chip to everyone wondering RB-C1 week 0825
i expected more out of that chip i got

on water
what did you have the NB at mine was @3ghz
we was trying to get 3.5 ~ 4.0ghz
Still goin:D

holy crap:shocked: i cant wait to see what 4.5 looks like:D
msimax
Have you tried the Giga UD5P with the latest BIOS?
my own asus board came today im updating the bios on both boards
M4A79T Deluxe BIOS 0703
1. Fix the system may hang EzFlash program.
2. Fix the system may hang when the CrashFree process is done.
3. Enhance compatibility with certain memory modules.
M4A79T Deluxe BIOS 0705
1. Improve system stability when ACC function is applied.
2. Fix the system may hang when running EZFlash.
http://support.asus.com/download/dow...4A79T%20Deluxe
F4D 2009/01/23
1. Fix USB Keyboard issue
2. Fix Green LAN issue
3. Fix voltage issue when set over than 2.2V
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/M...ProductID=3005
update the giga board refuse to take the memory to 1665mhz it defaults back to the x6.66 memory divider so now im gonna test with d9
yes and the problem still exist i sent a tech support ticket i would check for cpu overclock but i have no dice today so off to the asus
lets hope they have good support

im also using micron d9gtr based memory
*Question
hi im trying to review this board for xtremesystems.org and im running into some issues
there is a problem when changing the northbridge to any freq. other than stock the system go into a costant reset loop
this is not a problem with or asus sample it can achieve 3.5xx on the NB
second problem is with memory overclock. when setting the memory clock to x8.0 and going past 1600mhz the system defaults back to the x6.66 div doesnt matter what timings or voltage.
and agin with our asus m4a79t iwas able to pass 30 loops of memtest @ ddr1856 mhz or 928mhz
these are just some problems prohibiting us to complete our tests
thanks for your time

I wonder why cpu-z does that mine looks the same after updating to 1.50 must be the fact they are 945 es's?
I guess I can order my AM3 board soon :D
blah just noticed they still didn't fix the vcore reading bug...
Well, I finely got my 945be but Ill be damned if my Gigabyte board wasnt DOA  so no DDR3 lovin for me tonight. I put it in my cheap AsRock board with some Gskill ram and it does seem to be a good chip. Im only using a Zalman 9700 for cooling right now. This ram seems to clock surprisingly well tho to my surprise.
I guess in a few more days all have some DDR3 results.
PS: Thank you cdawall ;)
Edit, Just noticed that CPUZ shows diff. clock than what I had it at. what the hell?
http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/n...b/Capture3.jpg
Ok, heres the correct CPUZ????
http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/n.../Capture-5.jpg
Lol your on a mission max, save some of that energy for the weekend ;)
At the rate your going somehow I think we are going to need more than 30L and 10LBs DI........More like 60+L and 30LBs........
In about 3 weeks We can do dual LN2 runs and a DI run. My new pot is almost done and already paid in full.

im trying to catch dumo but i dont think ill get it with this cpu without better cooling
How many points you need? better yet what was the score he got. I'm assuming your talking about 3d06?

what happened no post at all did the bottons light up fans etc
You need less ram and less NB and 150-200mhz more cpu speed. Every 100mhz is worth about 450-500 give or take.
I've extensively done the math....your scores do seem rather low.....I know for a fact I can wack 25k+ @ 4700 with my 4850's in crossfire ;) and thats with a 940BE and ddr2.
I like 8.12
im on it:ROTF:
Hmmm not the screenshot I was hoping for......My turn.......just need to get the sand out of my eyes and wait for a couple places to open and brew a couple pots of coffee. You want a glimpse into the future or do you want back to the future? aka ES or retail you pick it.
WOW!!
MSI, I hope you know Nitrogen and Co2 can both cause brain damage after midnight (or at least serious skin irritation :yepp:)....
Awesome clocks man! NB is killer...
thanks
Someone mentioned that the M4A79T gives better memory performance with 2x1GB DDR3 than 2x2GB, but I can't find that post. Is it true?
i couldnt tell u right now i dont have 2x2gig sticks
