Before a CES 2009 ... 3Dmark05 Broken !!!

before taking the plane to the CES 2009 Tuesday, I tested one last time the mysterious 940 B0 with my Crosffire HD4870x2.

I tested a few weeks before but a lot of trouble with Vista on my Velociraptor 300go ! I benchs with an old WD 80gb IDE and the latest beta 8.12 (modified for the release of Phénom II) and it was night and day !! :up:

Stable frequency, no pb Detection of CF, Vista Impressive !! :eek:

My caskade is optimized for Dual Core, I have a lot of problem in Load with Quad Core (2006 passes just), 3Dvantage not possible (I go down to -60 ° evaporator ) :( .

I have a little LN2 but it's for my Phenom II (I test to 5.6/5.7ghz for the moment, no cold boot with the HT 1ghz) but I think my Motherboard is dead too :D

Gigabyte EX58-UD5 bios F4N
2x1go OCZ Pc14400 D9GTR (big problem with the 3x1go :( )

congratz,superb its amazing how quick the i7s are in 05 , generally but at 5.2ghz plus its smokin, what temp does your cascade go down to on evap

i have to try that bios

i have some seriously weird problems on LN2 with my CPU ( i might try dual channel as well i guess)

its a great SS chip but goes are pair shaped on LN2 even though it can boot even at -110C

that canyon in '05 is crazy :up:

Yeah impressive score on canyon (after my OS under my HDD ide and the driver beta) , i don't the bug on low score at canyon (but i think then a second was en 2D frequency = low low score :( )

ATI is very good on 2K5 , i don't have a SLI (just a old 8800GTS 640mo) but if you say where to found !! i am interet :D

Thk , yes the 2K5/2K6 is very good for the i7 (at 5/5.3ghz minimum)

But AM3 for me no , i have just test quickly with the old XP and the score is low (335k with the 940@5150mhz and Single HD4870x2 @ 847/970) maybe a bad run ....

Thank , at 1.44v a can benchs at 5ghz superpi 1mo , at 1.63v -> 5390mhz max but very very instability with my gigabyte.

Pepinor@ng has test soon with the EVGA mb , wait & see :)

I have test at 5166mhz ok , but i have do 20 loop at 5250mhz and after the reboot , it's hard at benchs (maybe the settings in auto in the bios ...)

I wait the test at pepinor@ng

Yes spécial chip (but all B0 isn't very good) , the second chip is less good 200mhz then the better :shrug:
