[ZDB] E8600 @ 6.6GHz with ASUS Rampage Extreme

Hello guys,

Last weekend the ZDB Team was present on XLParty - big LanParty here in Portugal - ASUS sponsored us with some hardware :up: Thanks guys!

We just had opportunity to test the hardware on the same day of the event, so don't expect any monstrous 3DMark or Pi score :)

So, this is a little teaser of what you can expect for the next days/weeks :up:

You can check the 6610MHz with 2 cores enabled (05:08) on Youtube video here (click on High Quality option ;))

To finish, we are able to run 3DMark 2001 from Cars to Nature non-stop at ~6500MHz :) Nice chip isn't it? :)
It's time to fire up my 9800GX2 again :D and spend some time on 2D benchs like Superpi 1M :)

Motherboard wasn't tweaked at all... it will take some more time :)

how much the board asusExtreme gives VCORE??

The Rampage Extreme can supply up to 2.4Vcore, should be enough to suit anyone's need. :D

This CPU is sick! I believe that my Q820A600 will be quite good under the ice too :D

CHY 700 is rated to -100ºC, however is able to read without any problem temperatures bellow -100ºC (compared with other thermometers like UEI DT200 or Fluke 52).
I would like to have another one, with 2 probes and decimal reading... but they are all expensive :(

I had 4 or 5 Q822A435, the batch doesn't mean GOLDEN CHIP at all...
