New: XSPC "RX Series" rads

I found these on XSPC's site, didn't see anything on here so i thought i'd raise the alarm so to speak.:p:

They are also releasing 120 and 240 models.

From what i can tell they'll line up against the PA120.3, GTX360 and TFC's Xchanger 360. Kinda looks like a cross between the GTX360 and TFC360. Specs are below, taken directly from their site. The fin density of 8FPI caught my attention, does that make this that the most open rad to date?

What are your thoughts? XSPC have brought out some good products recently and continue to hit a competitive price point. This could end up being a viable alternative in the market.

I can't give out numbers presently and I only have a 120. But the bad thing is, I had to test with a 300w heat load, typically 120's should only be used with 150w heat load or less.

I was very happy to see this rad when I opened up the box. Even though I have a prototype, the paint is nicer than a TC. And for a prototype it sure looked like production ready.

I'm eager to see what the price point is going to be.

That is exactly what i wanted to hear. Can't wait for the final numbers!

The XSPC site says availability in January, so we'll wait till then to see what prices will be like. :)

8 FPI... that's really low. I think TCs are 14 and HW GTXes are 20... MCRs are somewhere in the middle.

8 FPI though, I wonder if that hurts the performance? Time will tell. :yepp:

Should be interesting at what price point they'll be selling for - still looking for a good replacement/upgrade for this MCR320.

Really looking forward to these. I love XSPC and would really like to have an entirely XSPC cooled machine. :D

Competition is always good, but they all just look like dressed-up Thermochills. Cathar and Marci got it right the first time, look how long it has taken for others to come out with competing models.

I'm a low CFM guy, so the closest I can get the HWLabs is the GTS.

They're not that cheap, price point will be somewhere between MCR320 and PA120.3 (for the triple version).

If performance comes in somewhere between the MCR and PA then its just another rad to consider.. They likely are not going to ship with all the bling of a TFC (Silicon Pads, Barbs, Compression Fittings etc).

There isn't a 480 model, It would be nice if that came sooner rather than later.

IIRC the PA's are 9fpi... I don't see why this won't perform much like a PA...

Nice looking rad. I just hope they are priced right like there blocks.

not sure I get your point. Danger Den still carries their rads and Danger Den has always sold WAY more Black Ice rads than TC rads (TC really does not even make a blip on their radar in comparison). I am not sure why that is. Ben seems to move them like crazy.

I did up to Autopsy. I think in another thread I said I spent at least 8k at Danger Den alone and I think maybe 16k-18k at New Egg alone since 2006 (each company respectively). I get TONS of free stuff above that. point being is even with my sponsorships I am way above most people here in modding/computer expenditures so I yes I feel the pain brother ;) I also have a wife that drop kicks my silly rear just like most of you over it.

jabtech had an account since 2002, and finally posted 6 years later here. :) welcome! how do you know about pricing already? will you be carrying these?

I'm still wondering when we'll see saw-tooth edges on rads (like certain air coolers). Seems like something that might help just that little bit more.

I think the saw-toothing behaves similarly to the louvre-ing on rads, except that it's cheaper. Skinnee, do these have louvre-ing on them? Can't tell from those pics.

Never tried a production or 8FPI model, you'll have to wait for skinnee's results. I tried a couple of early prototypes, but they've changed a few things since then...

Ha yeah. I think maybe (if/when) I get my stackable mcr 320 review samples I will test them and then send them off to skinee so we can get the comparable results :)

I've know about these for quite a few weeks, my buddy Dazhong at XSPC released pricing just before Christmas and I already have my order in.. I believe shipping is possibly next week, or soon after new year.

Martin measured 10-11 folds per inch in his review of the PA. 8 Does seem a little low...

Where XSPC can really capture the market would be on price point.

With XSPC and Swiftech releasing new Rads, maybe it will force TC and TFC to drop their prices? OK, I kid, I kid. :)

So from that TFC and HDWLabs are cheapest on the fatter Single Rads with the new XSPC being the most expensive.

RX240: £49.99
TFC Xchanger: £51.37
Black Ice GT Xtreme: £60.67

So from that we see HDWLabs rad being the most expensive, with the TFC being £1 more expensive than the XSPC but the Thermchill is still cheaper then the New XSPC.

ThermoChill PA120.3: £54.80

So from this we see, TFC and HDWLabs rads being the most expensive by a good 15%, with Thermochill still being the cheapest on the fat rads, but the new XSPC is just £1 more.

So what do you guys think?

It's nice to see xspc making rads, they make some nice products.

Preliminary prices. But if they turn out to be correct, I really hope for XSPC's sake that they perform exactly the same or even better compared to the PA120.3. Else they gotta depend on the Pa's being out of stock.

It's about what I was expecting. If they're going to position their rad to compete against TFC and TC technically they're also going to position it in a similar manner for pricing.

The extra couple of quid will be worth it over a PA purely for the far better paint finish, pre-tapped fan mounting holes and standard spacing. If the performance is where it should be aswell (right up there with TFC and PA with low speed fans) then these will probably be my rads of choice in the future. :)

Me too :) Actually I did order RS360(I can get 3 of these for 2 swiftech mcr320 price), but it was out of the stock and when they come back to stock there is also available RX360(wondering how they perform againt PA 120.3).. So any news about it? Thanks and sorry for rush

They also raised RS price about £10, but there RX360 http://watercooled-pcs.co.uk/en/xspc...-radiator.html is normal price and its coming to ChilledPC also.

I can't wait to see the results of these. If they are comparable to Fesers or TC rads, this will be a great product. Plus the gloss finish makes em look a little sleeker if you ask me. Good work XSPC.

It has the same finish as the Fesers rads :up: so the paint finish is'nt new in terms of a first for any company :shakes:

Maybe I will let go my RS360 sandwich project.. :)

With that way low FPI, these look like ideal candidates for a sandwich. Can't wait to see results :)

Got a 360 enroute to myself. Should be interesting to see how this one stacks up against the current favourites.

RX120 Test Report

RX360 tests will start after I finish the EK D5 top tests.

Now for the important question... Will it come in 140mm sizes?

Dang!! I recently bought the RS360 (coming in tomorrow :D ) sure wana see some results from the RX-version, although it's a lot more expensive.

Too bad PTS doens't carry the RX120 yet - otherwise, I'd nab 2 :D
