Just recieved a delivery of Delta FFB1424UHE-M 367 CFM Fans
I think this is about as extreme as off the shelf radiator setups get.
All up these fans will be drawing ~16 amps or 384 watts at 24V and deliver a massive 1468 CFM to the GTX.
Hmmm that Meanwell SP-300-24 PSU isnt gona cut it... I better duck over to jaycar, then Im off to build my hovercraft.... Ill post pics and a small vid later today :up:

Ive seen muflers which use noise cancelling technology (similar to the headphones) I was thinking I'd buy one of those strip out the noise cancelling gear (microphone, speeker and probably some kind of signal processor) and mount it inside my caseQuote:

Why not just wire up electrostatic transducers near each fan?
These will absorb and convert the vibrations and changes in air pressure to an electrical signal - allowing it to be modified.
I'm pretty sure this is how they make 'noise-canceling" headphones.
I thought of doing this a few years ago, but I never got around to going though with it.
The result if done properly would be like a black hole for sound waves - sort-of.
Exact same concept as your muffler, but smaller scale and higher sensitivity could be resulted.

My local electronics store didnt have a psu over 300w... Im gona need about 800 for this setup so I ordered a meanwell SE-1000-24 so it can power the RD30 too :up:

**I have some 170x52mm SanAce blowers..good for 300CFM each..it you need some more pressure for your radiator. :D

the rheostat in the vid is one of eight 150w rheostats to control the fans :up:
Ive been doing a bit more research on noise-cancelling technology.... some people are using it for servers... im gona contact them and see if i can get a unit for my case. The constant hum... or should I say scream, of fans is just the kind of sound this technology works well for.
Don't worry about the noise, after a couple of weeks with these in your office you will be pretty much hearing impaired. :up:Quote:

300+watts on just fans thats extreme, might have been cheaper on the electric to spring for lower rpm fans on the rad and a pelt :D

Yes, seriously do be careful even with the fan shrouds. If you push your finger and it slips in between the grill rings it might still get ahold of you. I've messed with R/C electric planes before, and have almost had accidents with propellers. That thing can seriously be a self feeding meat grinder. No joke. After watching and especially listening to those beastly fans I would never run them over about 5v I think, pair them with an iwaki pump and "store" the radiator at your neighbor's house lol ( iwaki's in series if required considering tubing length required to get to/from your neighbor's house).
planning to reach ambient with one rad i see?
