Frankly what does it take to run an Optimized Super Pi run?
P4 1.8Ghz stock 1m 43.469s
e6850 3.6Ghz 1.40v 14.140s <--- ran @ 3.8 for a long time, forgot sp1M

e8400 4.0Ghz 1.33v 11.672s
On water, ambient 26C, at 1.512 bios. Funny thing this run at room temp w/1.512v core LLC bios is near max mhz (LN2, etc aside).
Max suicide cpuz is 4670mhz at room temp, even using 1.68vcore and all other applicable volts redlined. Outside cold temps 5c with box fan does not help much either, gain 90 mhz to 4760, realtemp reads 18-20C instead of 45c as pic.

:edit: apparently the validation thing is broken, nevermind. We could just make up any old scores :shrug:

Just got my E8400, Mobo, Antec 900, and GameXstrem 600 watt for X-Mas :). Load temps with prime 95 are 38C. I will probably attempt 4.0 GHZ tommorow, though. I'll probably loosen memory timings and increase voltages. Motherboard won't let me go below 667 with the ram speed. Hopefully I will get some new ram by the end of the week.

phase or ln2?
Does Super PI do better with just all out speed? Like with ram is it better to have tighter timings, or higher. or both. as I score lower with 890 Mhz Ram on 4-4-4-12, than I do with 1066 on 5-5-5-15..
i doubt I could run 1066 at 5-5-5-5. when stock is 5-5-5-15.

New Here, but someone at the other forum said I should post this here..I don't know if my system would be considered extreme but I think this result is ok....
By the Way it's an E8600 @ 4.2GHZ/Rampage Formula X48/Dominator 2 GB and 9800 GTX+
The other 2 GB of Dominator Don't work for some reason.....
Thanks

See you later
I dunno.....I'll try it at 4.5/4.6 GHZ later
(if indeed you're talking to me) :yepp::yepp:
Could be that 2GB of Dominator though.... :down:
Here's a good run i had..

http://www.hwbot.org/result.do?resultId=833817
My new result at 4.6 GHZ is only 10S right on the nose.... (1.44v )
I think somethings wrong.........:confused::confused::confused:
Too little Ram possibly??? or bad timings......:shrug:
Kill as many procesesses as possible, kill audio drivers, audio device graph isolation and stuff.
start superpi, kill windows explorer, then set superpi to Realtime priority.
After the run, run "new task" and type explorer.exe
Thanks:D:D:D
tried all the above again,,and it's still 10s right on the nose
Maybe my system if f-ed...:down::down::down:
