ok somebody give me some help here
i want some 2x2 Gb kit and i have a dilemma on those two

prise is the same so witch one of those two clocks better ?
if you can find mushkin redline pc2-8000 get it
its cheaper and as good
Both use Powerchips and are probably comparable. Do which ever is cheaper.
redlines here cost 19€ less than the Xp's so 19€ more for chips that they are 66Mhz binned Higher is not a problem

4 of them cost 100€ but they are going to be 4 sticks then :/

as for the cellshock's on friend of mine got 2 of them and they stopped @ 1210Mhz

any d9gmh will get 1200 with enough voltage lol but not all will last long

oh i know for the D9Gmh now i have on kit of Team's PC9600 i thing i will go for the Corsair most of the people here that have them can get 1180 at least stable with 2.0 2.1 Volt and some can even hit 1200 stable with 2.1 :/

Reaching 1200Mhz from a 2x2GB is gonna depend highly on the board.
I wouldn't buy a 2x2GB to hit 1200Mhz though, even if it has been done, doesn't mean the batch you'll be buying will.
sure it wont be defiantly that the mem's will hit 600mhz but as i see here in greece the stats for the corsairs are better :/

thanks man :) i think those kit can do the same Mhz but the corsair kit with the same price comes with the dominator airflow so i think i'am going for them :p
the lucky ones that got 1200 were on redline
corsair would be a good choice too
will see i'am waiting i thing this Monday i will have the corsair kit i will post some results

hi i got the mem's and i booted @ 476Mhz 5-4-4-12 with 1.9 Volt stable
max Mhz i could reach was 556Mhz wit 2.1 i will try more but my cpu is not god for overclocking :(
Q9450 and it maxes @ 3800Mhz :/

i got the corsair kit
and i will try to find one E8600 to see the max bandwidth of the mem's with higher Fsb
those speeds i managed yesterday rock stable i will try more today and i will update :) but i think that the cant go more than 1100Mhz :rolleyes: they can go up to 1000Mhz with 1.9 Volt this is good because they don't even need the Fan on them they are cool enough more later tomorrow

I used to do stuff for Mushkin so know a good deal about the internal workings, without question the quality and performance of Mushkin memory is far better than Corsairs.
i will have to grab one 2x2 Gb kit for my sis so i will get the mushkin and compare :)
1080 Mhz with 1.93 nice speeds i think :p and less voltage than stock with higher speeds from stock :P
those mems are rated 1066Mhz 2.1V 5-5-5-15

All the "other timings" are set to 3 in the bios. The pro will add to them automatically.
I'm not sure an Abit pro will go above 1150 MHz on RAM.
with the old mem i could play max 1200 4-4-4-4 but
i'am stuck with PL7 i will try it
but first explain me what timmings you want
5-5-5-12 and tell me all the subtimings names and values to set them becouse memset does not work for me :(
Memset doesn't work with an Abit Pro because the MCHBAR is locked. There is a modified bios to work around it, but I've never used it. PL is determined by the spec of the RAM, speed you are running it, and the divider you use. That's why my Team 667 runs PL5 and my Mushkin 800 ran PL6..Quote:

Nope, the RAM is fine. The Everest numbers are because my clock is at 3.85 GHz (E8400). You're running 3.4 GHz (very respectable for a quad). Can you go up to the next divider (1:1.5)? I don't think so, but give it a try.Quote:

i noticed that you have your mems with CR 1 my run with 1:25 was with CR2 but not a big difference :p:
Everest shows CR2 (and so will CPU-Z), that setting in bios evidently doesn't really change anything unless you have an Nvidia based mobo.Quote:

Your FSB will make a bigger difference in performance than your RAM. It's still nice to know how high that RAM can OC.

and it wont make a big difference in real life from 3680 to 3840 where the chip maxes :)
and lower voltages less heat and blah blah :p:
but i'm impressed with this kit 1100 is more than fine with 2x2Gb and 9xxxMb/s Read
i'am really going to miss my good GKX's hiting 600mhz 5-5-5-15 24/7 but Vista needs RAM :)
so i think one E8600 will be better in this set up and i will able to have more cpu circles eg. 550x8 and the mem's 1100 1:1
will see :)
