Not for our use, but for OEMs and those that dont want to get there feet *or computers wet this is pretty nice solution made by asetek.
And as long as you swaped out those bling fans you might some better numbers.
Again like I said not for Xtreme people, but for users that have a 1.8ghz c2d that want to get to 2.4 sliently and wanna swap the fans out this could be pretty cool.

hmm, if the pump doesn't die too early, it could/would probably perform better with an MCR220 rad...

I will say it is compact though but seriously I would rather build my own knowing the parts and performance as opposed to a compact little system that is not reviewed and tested in here. The parts all look cheap but I am guessing that is exactly what it is supposed to be. Compact, cheap and maintenance free for 5 years. I guess it would be good for someone without any knowledge of Water Cooling and does not want to learn either and is too lazy to make their own and maintain it.
If that one is too extreme, I think there's also a single-120 version of it available.
And if that's still too much, check out the Auras Conditioner...

Out of curiosity, what's your beef with the first part? Aside from the price? You could probably do worse for a single 5 1/4" bay device that contains a reservoir, a DDC 3.2 pump, a fan controller, and temperature sensors.

It was also a system a friend gave me because he didn't trust it. It reminds me of my first kit CoolerMaster Aquagate mini R80. It got my X2 temp down but the damded pump failed after 2 months.
Well itīs always good to start from somewhere and playing it safe if one doesnīt have the balls to build a wcing loop from the scratch.

If you wanted to make that better, you may have to add just a 120.1 on top of the "waterblock/pump" thing, and somehow attach it with 2 slow yates to push/pull. It might fit in generally the same area. While it is possible to make this thing better, since the thing is like 40 bucks, you really should just get a different all-in-one sort of thing, like an Eliminator. I'm not saying get an entire new loop or sorts for $500+. I'm just saying there are comparable alternatives that would deliver "just fine" temps for like $100.:up:Quote:

I've got a Coolit Eliminator and the temps are good with it. That might be another addition to an ok all in one.

I know and you know that WC can be quite a cheap enterprise. However, what we can do with heatercores, pond pumps and copper slabs there are many people who will not best with huge money spent in big kits. That's why I said people. I idn't point it at you, and I'm genuinely sorry if I have offended. In that, at least, I feel like I have a foot in my mouth.
But, I think there's a way to make ANYTHING better. Sometimes, you're right, it really is to start over, but there are times (I've dealt with them before, I can say) when someone is either sentimentally attached to a part, or the budget is practically gone. I remember dealing with a Gen1 Aquagate. There's a POS for ya. 1/4" tubing, crappy block (all copper) and an Al 80mm rad/res combo. Turns out the whole thing is 3/8" on the insides, changeover to that and a fan change got better temps, adding in a Koolance 2x120 rad did even better. The CM fluid, I must say, was a fantastic anticorrosive. To this day (and it still survives, running) it's pretty much pristine.
Ask my opinion, and I'll shoot straight. Ask for my help, and I'll do anything I can to re-engineer it into something useful while you save cash. Always been that way.

If this was supposed to make people laugh and it did to some extent then it belongs to the appropriate section in the forum. As far as I know this section is dedicated to water cooling and I see no addition, no benefit gained from publicly trashing pre-made and assembled kits. Some people buy these kits in the hopes of adding to their system, to feel "modders" or attempt to become "overclockers". Should you really attack these products or those who buy them for the sake of having a laugh?
If you start a thread like this, with this title then it means that you are perfectly aware that the product performs below par compared to custom systems. Those who will post here and have a laugh will agree with you but those who actually bought these kits will be too embarrassed to ask and seek guidance by posting their doubts.
I've seen in my limited time in this forum so many "experts" propose work builds or even suggestions concerning technical solutions which offered nothing but a showcase of expensive and banal hardware put together with the occasional choice of a specific theme or "innovative" solution concerning component placement. I am not criticizing this per se but it just seems so evident that most are just trashing these kits and have never added to the section by proposing solutions which did not involve spending truckloads of money.
I am with [XC] kayin on this one. For most it is just a question of spending money. Of having everything shipped to you in nice boxes and the losing less than a couple of hours assembling your own, expensive and really not impressive kits. No originality, no real "contribution" just "copy and paste" with the subsequent approval of all the community.
I am sorry to have to say this but it started with the kid who left because of the fanboism, it has precedent in the thread about the total "noob" at sli forums and it continues with this pointless trashing. I am a total noob and even though I have a system which outperforms 90% of other liquid cooling systems while running almost passive I still don't feel comfortable offending those who have spent money in search of some satisfaction which possibly never came due to the technical limitations of the kits themselves.

Hence, you are likely right -- it is a more positive approach to try to help the folks who have purchased them so they don't end up with a case of sour grapes insofar as liquid cooling is concerned -- in the process, maybe educate them a little so they end up with better gear on the next try.
still, some of these damn things are goofy enough to warrant a thread poking fun at them...otherwise, this one wouldn't already be on the third or forth page. :D None should take offense to some of us poking fun at some of this gear as, more likely than not, all of us have bought some nonsensical gear in the past and we are laughing at ourselves as much as anything else.
Here's what the problem is even though this thread was meant to light hearted. All the trashing, bashing, ego's, and hate that has been running rampant in this section has made it so people looking for help won't post. Now it's come to a head and more and more people are speaking out against it. So even this attempt at humor has rubbed some the wrong way.
Maybe considering the feelings and need of others will put the section back to where and how it needs to be.

Eh I like DIY wc builds because it not only shows innovation but has that personal touch. I mean we don't run out and buy the same cases like we do with water blocks. I'm not too sure where I'm going with this but I would make and use my own cpu block if I had the necessary skill set and equipment to do so. Sure it might be 6C crapper but it's mine and mine only. With the heatcore issue I guess I'm standing on the same side of the fence again. If I had one around or something I would try to use it.

I see the point and just to reply to the opinions you expressed about my system: the pumps were scavenged from a dismissed production plant. One used to move some nasty liquid around so it was cleaned and opened for inspection in every way. Also I paid very little for both of them.Quote:

I also experimented with positioning fans under rather than across the radiators and with a fraction of the noise and the wattage I have exceptionally good results. 4 fans running at 6v will yield the same performance as 2 summer ventilators directly placed in front of the radiators.
Also how many people you think actually know what takes place in a loop when you mix metals? Many just repeat what they read and that is it....I would imagine many would actually try to justify their assertions pointing out that corrosion will happen within the copper. Sure....you see black but is that really corrosion? I am just trying to make a point and I intend no disrespect to anyone.
