Many thanks for keeping this going. :)
Also does any one know the best place to get SB750 boards in the UK? I know that every one at the mo is going on about why buy AMD? but for me it was all down to price. I got my Asus M2N32-SLI Delux (customer return) for £30 so I could run an phenom, I got 4 GB (2x 2GB sticks) of DDR2 for £30, Scythe Mugen cooler for £15. The only thing I had to pay full price for was the Phenom £145. So my total upgrade to a 4 core system was £220. Because every one is loving intel all there stuff holds its price. when I priced up the same parts for a 4 core intel system it came to £481, so by going AMD I saved myself £261.
I will post (hopefully my new high) this week when my new crap comes in.. thanks for the new thread..
no problem,
@nuts24,
i havent seen them in the uk yet, i am living in London, so i will be interested to find an e-retailer, that has it, i will be doing my usual surf of dabs.com and scan.co.uk, and maybe overclockers.uk
it was as you said earlier charged, we all got new kit coming in to 'up' our clocks, mine wont be purchased till late august/early Sept, but once those results are in, this data will be invaluable,
i might add a column, with 'ACC Enabled', so that we can compare the differance in speeds of the same chips
giving us proof, how much more some of these chips will clock with the ACC enabled.
any probs on the thread at all, with data or input, give me a PM
if your result hasnt been added, and you think it has been missed, please PM me :D
Well done Soundood, thanks for keeping it alive!
why another thread?
LIKMARK isn't updating his anymore this way we can see the results on the 1st post
Really???
Aye...see this post.
way to go!
The SB750 board arives tomorrow and the the first 4850 is scheduled for tomorrow also. My new water coooling kit arived today.. My parts came from like every distribution center newegg has LOL..
I am hoping to kill my old score..

Hang tight, i will update my 9850, when I posted those numbers I wasn't really trying to push it.....
when i finish the modding and liquid cooled i'll post mine too.
how about a sticky?
Mike
I hope to have mine 2moro sometime if Australia Post get there :banana::banana::banana: together, so hopefully i have some scores.
+1 for sticky! Once those SB750 boards start rolling in, hopefully we'll see a decent change in the chart.

Hi..
What version od AOD are you running there.... I just dl'd the 2.1.2 version and I'm either missing something or theres no way to change the skin colour scheme... I prefer the black to the AMD Gaming scheme, and was wondering if you knew how to change it...???
I already looked at the cfg file, and all it lists there is <skin></skin> with no value listed....????
when i instaled it looked exactly like above, except no ACC options, they where grayed out,
did you fully uninstal the last version of AOD before instaling 2.1.2.?

Quite recent! Post results :)
Good chart. I'm also glad to see it updated more frequently now. I will suggest to you what I suggested to the last maintainer: Try saving the image as a PNG. File size for this type of image should be similar and it will also not have any compression artifacts since PNG is lossless. :)
hey i will take that PNG suggestion and try it out matey thanks
yeah it will be updated nearly as soon as results are posted,
at the moment i have put of riverricers result for a couple of days to see if any more come in by the end of the wekkend, then i will update.
so next update, sunday say, as i am going on Holiday :D
and i wont be back for 2 weeks, so dont panic  results will be updated when i get back, and i havent disapeared to the 'ex-XS-posters graveyeard'
so if you want to be on the chart in the next two weeks, get the result in for sunday and i will update it
I am planning on removing my system board heat pipes next week and replacing the entire thermal compound with OCZ freeze to see if this will lower my system temps. I have already used OCZ freeze on my CPU cooler and found it much better than AS5. Once I have done this I will try for a higher clock. I am doing this for now as I have never been happy with this board or Asus. I can not wait until the SB750 boards come out in the UK so I can get rid of the board I have. If any one has any tips on clocking the Asus M2N32-SLI Delux board they are more than welcome to give them to me or know any one selling SB750 boards in the UK then please give me the INFO. So with any luck when you get back in two weeks I should have a better clock for you to add to the table. I hope you have a good two weeks away. Enjoy yourself.
I want to see that 9850//0826 BPQW clocked:D
I have my eye looking at another 9950 soon.
Nuts24,,
From what ive seen with the M2N32deluxe it does like the (CPU to NB )set @ 1.3v-1.35.. Helps with Ram to IMC stability while using high freqency and lower timing coupled with phenom. Ganged and unganged is pretty stable for most rams @ 400 through 1066 on auto timing. I prefer to use (High freqency) with all other ram settings ive used..
Note: 5-6-6-18 2t is pretty optimal if you choose to raise FSB for higher Ram freqency..
SLI ram set to (High Freqency) and (MAX OC)
Also Disable,,
Virtualizatin,,TLB fix,,AMD live and any spread spectrum..
Chipset is set to..
MCP HT speed = 5x
MCPHT width = 16 and 16
SB HT speed =5x
SB HT width = 16 and 16
If using NVIDIA graphics set GPU ex to Auto.
If raising the FSB/HT above 220 lower MCP HT to 4x..Even though the Mobo can do 3000+HT with a X2 , The X4 Phen is a little different
The NB freqency will raise when you raise the FSB 201+ around 220 = 2200nb and FSB..240 = 2400nb .If you set the CPU VID or Vcore above 1.3v it sets the same for the Vcore and NBvolts on chip...So if you raise the FSB make shure you up the CPUvcore alittle for the Added NB freqency.
Higher on chip NB freqency will add a 1-4c to your current temps depending on the cooling...

If I make a program for you that makes it to where you can edit the table in and have it publish it automatically as an image online, would you use it? (eg, you open it up and edit the table, then click a button that both saves the table and updates the online image--no further action required to make it update here)
HI there,
i was under the impression that the same CPU gets one entry, ie the highest, regardless of OS, this way there is no confusion, only way a CPU gets two mentions is with a new MObo
the SB750 to be honest, ill update scores to any cpu, but in the order of orderness...this is the only way this can work,
is it a new CPU?, have i misunderstood?
let me know Oese, no prob if it is,
but i am right in thinking this ehhh? after all i dont make rules, we all do, and if you want to include multiple results from one cpu, then fine, but i think it will end up a mess and very confusing
ok guys all updated
i am going on Hols tonite  and i will be back on the 28th, so no more updates till then, keep them posted but, and i will fire through the updates when i get back :yepp:
nice ;)
everything's okay.. same cpu so all right. just thought different os' results would be interesting as well and didnt know the rules for sure.. my fault..
now, guys, come on with those 750sb-acc-devils do some shots for max oc
as i said matey, we all make the rules, this is an open thread here and any suggestion will be put before us all for vote.
i just think, if we all agree to this, that we need suggestions as to the format of the layout.
and in itself might become to complex for one single sheet?
discuss, and i will be back on the 28th, to implement any agreed suggestions
I dont know if the issue 32 vs. 64bit is worth a whole new list.. perhaps someone else has some opinion about this?
Any setting that can impact overclocks by 100-200 MHz or more deserves a column I think.
but it must be clear if it is the same cpu or another. otherwise it could just be a better/worse overclocking processor of the same batch.. what would be interesting as well with regards to variabilities in one batch..
whole processor number is a little too much i think?
So, first early attempt ..I installed it to my dfi, booted just fine at 200x15 with default vcore. So far so good..9850BE 0826 BPQW.Stable Spi and 3d..Of course more to come!
Attachment 83836
Is that Vcore correct if so ,Oh thats a sweet chip...
The Volts are priceless:up:
I seen A BUNCH of 0816- 0820 batches that dint like to work good @ 3.0ghz+ with below stock volts this is very,, very good...Especially take into consideration that the average Volts for 3.0-3.3ghz ive seen has been around 1.35v-1.45v Air/decent cooler with 9750 and up Phenoms:yepp:
Killer chip there DevilCry & may get 4GHz out of it on a 750SB mobo :D
Spoke with him....
Can't go anywhere higher stable with default....
3.2 and more are easily attainable with 1.35+ but not stable....
Thing is he ain't got any clue on phenom o.cing......
He promised max mhz with at least 1.5volts... So waiting :D
Went from windows Vista to XP, my chip deserves the update i believe

never tried XP thinking it wouldnt impact OC that much....
but going from 2.8 to 3.2 is a HUGE jump just from an OS
Hmm i was tinking a gain @ 3.45ghz with the CPUxmulti Maxed,..
Thats no fun...:gay:
Even though its 100% percent stable....
I decided to got for it all...
While Still being Volt crazy conservative....:hehe:
Saving the leftovers for the new GX comming soon...
I finally firgured out my ram and Manual settings so i didnt need to use 1066mhz divider any more:rofl:
Easy as 1....HT........2 NB........3 HIGH OC:up: J/k took forever to get here one setting at a time in the Dram Menu:rolleyes:
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...2600Nb2600.jpg
I shall need a last update for this combo,,Please... gOtVoltage;)
wooooo nice overclock :hehe:
I was wondering does anyone have results of a newer 9600BE....do they have week year 08 stepping 9600BE's?
I am just curious how a newer one on a ACC enabled board would tweak...cuz they are cheap processors now...
Thanks
I believe there not making any new 9600BE's )07 was its EOF(end of life) for B2 steppings..So what ever was left was sold and no mo...The 9550/9650/9750/9850/9950 replaced them.. So what ever 9600BE's are out there is all you can get your hands on....
Mine was a 0747 stepping it was only able to do 2600mhz max(watercooled or Air) on Sb600.. I may try it in a 790gx in few weeks...For now it stays as a back up system@2400mhz with M2N32deluxe and 9800GTX+. Still games nice and does everything that it needs to do with Stock cooler.
ah ok, guess they have a huge stock of them cuz like everywhere is still selling them hehe
well I got surprise I had my phenom up to 1.373 volts from bios. I could heard the thing ticking away from my bed ten feet away -_-
like an old P1 lol
you all are lucky. i get freezing past mid 2.8, even tho prime95 may run for some time.
win xp 32 bit, sp3
dfi m2r 790fx w./ lejabeach's 612 (beta) modded bios.
welcome to phenoms lol
let me guess, 2.825 is no problem on stock volts, anything higher, at any voltage isnt stable?
are you lucky enough to be able to reach 235 x 12, that will give you the best performace per 2.8ghz possible (if ram can cope)
otherwise im sorry to say your phenom (and one of mine) will not be able to reach anything over 2.8 without a SB750 board
it's the wierdest thing too. during load it churns through, but once i launch a web browser and start browsing, lock ups start happening (this is during load).
at idle, its cat and mouse, haha. no telling when it will lock up.
OK, I got round to replacing all the paste on my motherboard with OCZ freeze and my system temps dropped by 10°C, so my system temps are what they should be. So with that little mod heres is my new overclock running for over 72hrs and still going.

But no matter what I do I just can not hit 3.2, looks like I need the new 790GX with SB750 I think. :)
I've only seen two good 0812 & 3 bad. your makes it too the good side. Mine won't even hit 2.7ghz stable.
the 0812's seem to able to do high nb/Ht clock 2400 is usually the max.
I real call some one mentioned these 0812 when is the red on AOD it's a 10+C jump in temps
Might as well add this one to the list.
First attempt with this cpu at stock voltages = 3000mhz
had it at 3400 but stabilty is an issue past 3150mhz.

here's what i did today, vista 64bit.
but i did not get the 3h, rebootet after 2:41h. i think psu or pwm section is weaking, as the power meter showed a crazy 447w  just prime no grafics.. after 6h of 3h prime attempt i got screaming pwms and such but now they're calm again luckily.. thats although pwm's stayed @ 66°C thanks to the fan over it..
perhaps theres more to come with full watercooling :D
yepp that 9750 is crazy. and i think this would not be possible on another board as well. that phenom sucks power its unbelievable. i think other then these digital pwms on the m2r could not stand that.. perhaps that 10phase system on the msi or the gigabyte dq6, but no 780G/790G/GX board i believe..
hi Oese, nice clock there... mind to guide me a 'lil as i'm struggling to get pass 260HTT prime stable. :(

i'm glad that actually a lot of people here hit such clocks, enough knowledge and a newer phenom provided. thats really good to see!!
@ ah khoo: i think its very board specific if its really the htt. but one thing is surely set all the trefs to the same value for all 4 ram slots, to the highest value required for one of your rams. even of the slots unoccupied. also set nb and cpu voltage the same for testing.
furthermore, i have experienced some bad behaviour with the 667-ram divider. perhaps its really something in your ram/imc related settings. to test, set 533 if that occurs and your ram cant handle 800 divider.. but i think just like with the amd x2, that behaviour can be chip-speific. i just want to say play around with those multis, noone knows whats going on there.
I'd think you could try another ht/nb multi as well. your chip should run with one setting higher as well.. and perhaps something is hindering there..
http://www.abload.de/thumb/phenom1200mhzramrym.jpg
phenom @ 300mhz htt :D its vantage stable but does not that much on my score (P8500)... single 4850 only..
3,4ghz (300x11,5) isnt possible with this ram setting at all. if i give it more power, it will shutdown earlier.. clear sign its the psu..
http://www.abload.de/thumb/russmark33ghz1200mhz2ln.jpg
right. nb/ht of course must be lowered to get such ht reference clocks done. with my nb especially, as it can do 2380mhz as a maximum, so 300x8 would exceed the maximum stable nb clock for me.
the other thing is the board must be tuned right in those specific settings.. with the m2r it is htt boot up clock must be set the same as htt reference clock. adjust gap is set to 5mhz.
besides that, all board related voltages are just stock :D
hehe @ quiet ice: that 3,3ghz is not that much for this phenom. I already had prime running @ 3,4ghz, pi 1m running at 3,53ghz, a 3,53ghz validation of that run can be found at ripping.org as the world record with 9750. Its a miracle chip. But also the m2r with the newer biosses is a miracle board for phenom OC, especially because of the superb pwm section.. but whatever, i think its the first phenom with 300mhz htt :D :yepp:
I bet if you turned everything way down you could hit 300 MHz clock as well. The question is, does it do any good to get there???
The "Bus Speed" (ala CPU-Z) on the AMD's haven't changed since the single-core A64 days. It's still just a reference clock
that's multiplied by some other number to get the given component's speed. The reference clock by itself does nothing ...
RefClock 200 400
CPUx ......14 ...7 = 2.8 GHz
NBx ........10 ...5 = 2.0 GHz
HTLink x ...8 ...4 = 1.6 GHz
RAM .....800 .400 = DDR2-800
etc ....
The reference clock speed is doubled but there's no advantage there. I can see situations when you're end tweaking
and may have a need for a high reference clock so the multipliers work together better ...
I got my new mobo at the weekend, which is a Asus M3A78-T (790GX/SB750), Does any one have any tips on how to set this up? Do I need to do any thing in the bios or can it all be done via AMD overdrive? Many thanks for any help on this. :)
Also why is the table gone? What has happened now?
@ quiet ice: of course you're right! its just to bring ramspeed and cpu together. but for 9750 and 9550 its important as you cannot change the multis freely.. so i'm totally pleased with this ;) !
My bad - I missed the fact you were running the RAM flat out.
DDR2-1200 ...!
Yeah very nice run:up:
Even up to 1150mhz with my ram ,, i was limited to 288 @ 3.3,,Again Mobo and Ram dependant....These Cpu's can handle more than Mobos can Dish out...
Maybe the 45's will bring the Mobos that can actually clock these things .
,,The Way They Were Ment To BE Clocked,, ah no I did not just qout Nvidia did i?
..Stup Crysis is stuckin me head again:D
Thanks.. I have been watching you and GotVoltage cranking your chips pretty good. I was actually shocked to get Bios OC 3.4ghz And be able to load Win XP 64. And it runs prett good. I haven't tried anything but Pi, I need to get more loaded...3.5 on win XP 32 is not completely stable yet... needs som tweeking.
I think Phenom has just started to sho some nice improvements.. to bad it could not have been earlier..I am still happy...
gogogo :D
unfortunately that 300x11 ddr1200 is not prime stable, although 3,3ghz and ddr1200 is stable alone.. perhaps its the chipset, but it gets very hot so i dont want to rise voltage there.. need watercooling !!!!!!
and youre obviously right gotvoltage :D these chips really exhaust mobo and psu it is not amd's fault :D
I hear yea Oese...cant wait for my H20 to get here and put some real volts to the cpu...Air cooling just not cutting it...
I'll get 2nd place soon over gOtVoltage in 3Dmark06 one of these days...:ROTF:
:D..........:moon::D
hehe i need a second 4850 and a new psu :D but not this month
I was putting way to much Volts to this chip before,, just encoding a video on this pass...
