DDR3; 2x2GB D9JNM (DDR3-1900 7-6-6-15)
Still under construction
- Managed to corrupt HDD, so recovering pics atm ;)
Furthermore, will get expanded throughout July... Diff mobo and compared to singlesided as for MCH - along with compared subtimings..
As JNM vs. GTS is same as JNL vs. GTR, I'm asking for 2x2GB GTS as well for thte expansion.
-----
Quite some time ago I received a pair of;
G.Skill PC12800CL7-4GBPI
Sadly I've been busy with alot of stuff, and out of motherboard!
So today I've tested a little....
ASUS P5E3 DLX (X38)
2x 300GB Maxtor (one backup all the time ;))
8800GT
E6850 (yea yea, someone fried his 5.6ghz wolfie)
2x2GB DDR3
Cooling:
water @ CPU
Swiftech sink @ NB
Stock @ GFX
120mm @ NB + RAM
Last week I had a good benching session along with ODOC, and while setup was being configurated, I took of the heatspreader, which, sadly, is very difficult to get off....
Underneath "the hood", I saw D9JNM, which suprised me a little, as they didnt have success with them in lab.
Method;
No need for wasting time on running tons of BW tests, as I dont target interest of mainstream user, and most enthuciasts are aware that chipset is bottleneck... In short; 1M testing only, and 32M to confirm stability.
- Oh, and for finding where it will be interesting... Memtest for windows.. ;)
First off:
Finding max FSB.....
Sadly, this is 475-485mhz, depending on room temperature... - Waterblock didnt help..... And couldnt mount the Mach II (not that I tried :rofl: )
(vmch messing with X38 as well :shakes: )
Second;
Finding sweetspot as for vdimm.... Using tightest possible timings they'll boot at...
Result:
6-6-6-12 is tightest they will boot at.... and 2.06-2.10v, depending on temperature....
The kit;

Finally some results....
Just a teaser....!

CL7:

Didnt test higher, as mobo didnt allow me to... Stay tuned.. ;)
EDIT1:
Attached my mach II last night, and facing some quite other frequencies...
Further I've found the measuring point for vdimm, and it says 1.97-8v when 2.10v in BIOS..
- Working on the 32M runs, but really hard on NB - hoping for new board very soon!
