A very good friend of mine have sent me this CPU to test it....

He told me that he didn't test it under LN2 so I had to test it..... and so I did.... :)

Now he MAY ask for it back, BUT he won't get it back THAT EASY from me.... :D:p:

IS it the FIRST CPU from this generation that benchies 3D OVER 6GHzzzz?...... :D

On air?....On water?......What words are they?.....ONLY on LN2..... :D

It did ~3700MHz with the LN2 pot on it insulated with default VCore and ~54*C on the pot.....

Comparing with the others cpus I've tested under the same conditions, I couldn't say it's a hot cpu....almost the same....

How about adding different components to the backside of the processors? Additional filters to help with stability? Awesome chip there, 6Ghz 3D Stable is nuts.

Nice chip George! :toast: 6 GHz 3D benchable is really nuts. I am wondering what speed it can run 06 and 03 with.

Interesting to see that some of the components are not needed for the CPU to work. Maybe Intel sees this and removes that part by default in order to save costs ^_^

Yes Vince....IF I want to play with the Rams at full aggressive speed, I can go up to 425MHz MAX with Perf Level 5....Then I have to relax them a bit....But it's OK..... :)

:D I could run 32M with this chip over 6GHz for sure BUT FOXCONN with aggressive timmings (at least the bios I work with and I don't change it) let's me play at 425MHz max OR at 437MHz a bit relaxed......32M NEEDS fsb and timmings so I think that it won't be such a good score......Place it on another mobo to do it?.....Count ~150 - 200MHz LESS than FOXCONN so no go again....Though I will test it for a 32M out of curiosity.... :)

The other CPU was not good.... Year/Week: 744xxx ..... -102*C cold bug/cold boot.....Though it is perfect for a cascade system cuz it doesn't have cold boot problem at all.... ;)

Had as many of these CPUs, as there were those little parts (the one thats missing) on the bottem of the CPU's I would try each CPU with a different part, then systematically try many combinations of multiple parts missing, and then maybe even just connect the tracers.

But I have not one.

And even if I did, very hard to have that much time.

Congrats though, very impressive. Really should ask Intel at to WTF that thing is meant to do... tell them they lie, all it does... is well... nothing so far.... lol

Some CPUs "refuse" to die sometimes :D
Some won't even degrade even after lengthy torture sessions ( 1.8V 45nm Quad on air cooling ).

what an amazing cpu, my god if only i could lay my hands on 1 of these, 6ghz is better than sex

Actually, I only have killed one till now with high VCore BUT it might NOT be the real reason which killed it........I'm telling you this because the other 3 that died, were died at 3.6GHz with 1.25VCore after the benches.....:(
When I finish my benches I put into bios 3.6GHz and 1.25V and go into windows once more.....
After that I power down and leave the system alone till next time.....
Well when I tried to power up that "next time", CPU didn't boot.....Died without knowing how!.... :(
TWO were died this way and ONE died like that: I put 3.6GHz and 1.25VCore after benches, go into windows once more, power off the system, de-freeze and go to +20*C, remove the LN2 pot, remove the CPU from the socket, pack the cpu to give it back to his owner, then the owner put it onto his mobo and it didn't power up......He brough it to me and it realy didn't powered up again..... :(

From that last time till now, I FIRTSLY PRAY for any CPU I put on to boot and when this happens, I'm OK..... :D

George u will like to have vtt max 1.45 on 45nm quad... everything over that is likely going to kill u chip...
