Foxconn Blackops X48: First quick results.
Hi all!
First I have to thank Shamino and Foxconn for porviding me the best possible parts to play with
I have had this board for a long time, but I didn't have D9GTR based DDR3 memory to play with. This motherboard had some problems running my previous sticks.
I tested yesterday ASUS P5E3 WS Pro with this same QX and LN2. Which board is better? Obviously Blackops! Bios is still on early stage, but it's starting to give good results.
All Pi/pifast times are totally unoptimised. I couldn't run 3DM06 3D tests because my 3870X2 wasn't in good "mood" today. Well, I have to retest everything later next week. LN2 dewar was almost empty when I started this morning. LN2 is so expensive here, that it is making these test sessions much harder. I have to be quick. 1L of LN2 = ~10 in here. These all tests are done with maybe 6 liters of LN2. It's definitely not enough for getting familiar with this new mobo
Finally the screenies:

This is strong board. More tests will come when I fix the 3870X2 to work again. :yepp: Maybe some tweaks for 2D tests wouldn't hurt either
UPDATE: Watercooled results
I tested Blackops with water today. I must say, that this is really stable and impressive board with lowend cooling too.
Bios 12. I can't do high fsb at any settings :shakes: It would help a lot with pi times. I think that it is my cpu. It can't do any better in other mobos. So don't look those Pi times at all
Setup:
Foxconn X48 Blackops
QX9650 @ 1.648V real. (orthos screen 1.46V real and max screen 1.68V real)
G.Skill DDR3 HZ (D9GTR) 800-846MHZ 7-6-6-12 1T
3870X2 (no drivers installed)
Thermaltake ToughPower 1200W
Cooling: Swiftech blocks on CPU / VGA. Chipset on stock air.
Water was 8-10c. No insulation, so I couldn't take it lower.
Max screen: 5100MHz:

These were max MHz speed tests. Now I could find some tweaks before i retest this system with LN2 next weekend. This cpu should do 5.7GHz SuperPi easily :yepp:
