MM H2gO 10 lbs of **** in a 5 lbs bag

Just finished building a new rig for a friend / customer. An I thought I would share it with the great people of XS.

I was very hesitant at first with using this case as of lack of information and ideas from other builders. However it did turn out to be very fun and entertaining process.

The case does make for a very tight fit but i feel it looks amazing when all said and done. I hope this thread may clear any questions for others as well help with ideas for anyone thinking of purchasing this MM case.

The water cooling set-up includes the fallowing:
2 x PA120.2
1 x PA120.1
2 x EK R600 WB
1 x Fuzion CPU WB
2 x Laing D5
1 x Dual 5.25 Bay Res

Loop order =
CPU > PA120.2 > VGA's > RES > PUMPS > PA120.1 > NB > PA120.2

I was playing wheres waldo with your hardrive/hardrives but I cannot find him!

I noticed one problem with this build. The front 220 is either sucking in cold and or pushing through hot air.
If it's sucking in cold air, I would push mesh on the top. Otherwise all the radiator heat will turn this into a heat box

Fantastic job! The symmetry of those water lines is excellent. Frankly, I've got mixed feelings about the back-to-back pumps, connected with elbows, but it sure is aesthetically pleasing! :tu:

Wow! (Checking out the manufacturer's website...) I would have never guessed that the case was *designed* for all of those radiators!!! For what it's worth, I would lose those side panels, and replace them with a single piece of formed plexi. :cool:

Edit: Err, I'm not suggesting that you get rid of the I/O panel.

Absolutely, This case with the current side panel and top panel i feel is definitely taking a lot away from the inside eye candy. Especially the lower portion of the case as well.

MM should offer different side panels as they do with other cases.

One ?: What PSU is used in this? I can see that it's not modular, but I don't recognize the cables. Just curious... because if I didn't know to look for it I wouldn't see it at all, I'm amazed you managed to hide all those cables.

I'm going to venture a guess.

The cabling suggests that its a ToPower-made unit. If you look at oneof the pictures of the rear of his case, the PSU fan says that its a Tagan. My guess is that its a 900, 800 or 700 watt model because its a regular sized PSU.

OP, you need to teach me! I can't even manage to get my setup inside a Mozart TX:ROTF: :shrug:

Shouldn't you cover up the Thermochill fins at the back because they are quite fragile ?

I'm with you on all that. Amazing build (I wanna make a tiny watercooled PC sometime!) and I would put something over those fins in the back. Even just some wire ring grills would help protect it.

Let me add to the congratulations ... and beautiful pictures too! Love the clean build.

The only thing I'm not sure about on that case is having the I/O panel on the side ... guess it will work okay for some desktop arrangements, but it's a bit strange.

Very nice job man nice and clean and in a small package. I can some what under stand your title. I myself am working on a U2-UFO Duality with about everything in 2's with Phase its driving me crazy trying to fit everything and slow going as I want it to look good. Again man great job.

Tis a thing of beauty! That is some incredible work.

I like the combination of normal fittings and stubby fittings on the sli setup. The 90 degree elbow fitting was a nice touch too.

I hope I can get my duality build to that kind of quality.

How long did it take to bleed the system using just one res?

Just one other point, are the pumps D5 vario, if so how will you be able to adjust the speed with them backing on to that fan?

what temps are getting with that setup?

also one more tip,
pop off that ROG sticker thats ontop of your SouthBridge heat sink. seeing as how the heatsink is being blocked on both sides from your graphics cards and on the top form the sticker, i dont think theres very good airflow to it.

if you are carful not to bend it when you remove it (like i did to mine :( ) the sticker looks great in other places like on your case or on a window...

After leak testing it took a good 4 hours to bleed. I have used this res before with another build in the past. An i hate it terriblly. I could not imagine using another res within this case with this set-up.

These pumps are adjustable. I took an old small flat head screw dirver and detached the handle. Then bent it at a 90 degree angle with a vice press. Some what similar to a allen wrench.

I did not take screen shots while doing stability tests. Im sure it would not be an issue to come up with some. Only if i can pull the owner away from his new toy :D .

However the QX6850 @ 3.6GHz 9 x 400 with 1.42v topped off at 57c with a 23c ambient after 7 hours of prime95.

The NB peaked at 46c during prime. ATITool was showing the VGAs topping at 41c with the 2nd VGA at 42c.

I have a MM H2G0 as well, and do you have any tips as far as assembling it? Did you have any problems seating the GPU's/PCI? How/were did you hide all the cables? How did you hook up all the fans?

regardless of what I'm about to say, you did an incredible job with this build, made it super professional looking.

but why not split into two loops???? only difference would be a second res. looking at martins flowrate and balancing the rads, maybe setup for two VGA on 120.2 and cpu+chipset on pa120.2 and 120.1

you would net about a .5gpm increase in each loop compared to all in one with series pumps.

plus potentialy better temps with the seperation of the pumps. If you could pull it off, 3 loops would rule, but u have about no space for more tubing, res's and pumps, maybe use single bay res's and a t-line. but that would be one hell of a stretch that i couldnt do.

This is an absolutely B E A UTIFUL build with alot of skill included in it.

I love your build, but I'm really wondering about your airflow.
It seems like one or two of those radiators will be pushing through a lot of hot air.
Where are you venting/pushing the hot air. I think mesh on the top might be your best bet

Unless adding some mesh to the top panel with this case you will have a radiator or 2 suffering.

With a mesh top panel i would assume a lot of heat could just rise directly out of the case.

However loading the system with stability tests the heat soak really was not as bad as i originally thought.

The final fan set-up is as fallowed:
front PA120.2 is pushing fresh air in
front bottom HD fan is pushing air out
rear bottom PA120.1 is pulling air in
rear top PA120.2 is pushing air out
rear PSU fan is exhausting air out

All systems fan besides one are connected to a sunbeam fan port. The last lonely fan is connected to a MB fan header.

I did not have issues seating GPU's or PCI cards. Just make sure when removing the case I/O side panel you re-install the 3 screws which connect the case I/O side panel to the MB Tray.

I was encountering a small issue with a PCI card seating properly. I then noticed i did not install these 3 screws. These 3 screw help snug the MB Tray with case I/O side panel.

All un-used PSU cables are tucked away underneath the HD.

With a lot of hardware within this case i noticed a lot of places to hide cable.

The biggest tip i feel is to not get fustrated with this case. It took me a lot of installing, uninstalling, and reinstalling to finnaly figure out how things would layout.

Try to plan ahead and order what hardware will need to be installed first and what can be left last.

That is a sweet build. Super clean and very well done. What do you think of the pumps in series like you have them?

Thanks for the link man! I was originally going to get a fan controller for my build, but that would have taken up a drive bay and then I would have had to use my Swiftech Micro-Res which I don't know where to put in the case.

Why not run the VGA blocks in parallel?

That sir is a very nice build.

What fans have you used? I'm currently looking for some quiet 120mm blue LED's, and am hoping that they fit that description.

Sorry for digging up an old thread, but I had a question regarding the bottom 120.1 rad.

Did you drill the holes yourself for the barbs or did it come like that?

Absolutely top notch build!

I just looked at the bottom of mine, and there are only predrilled holes in the top right corner with MM and H2GO Etched on an acrylic plate covering them for another 120.2...

Noticed that my power supply orientation is different on my H2G0 as it lies flat as opposed to vertical in the OP's pics.

My holes were pre-drilled for the 120x2 in back, but the 120x1 weren't pre-drilled.

Mstrmold, you got any pics of that. Im assuming that if it lies flat, then you would have to mount it upside down, otherwise the fan on it wont pull any air threw it? Mine is definitely vertically mounted. And that sucks that the holes weren't predrilled, that would cause some minor inconveniences having to drill them out.

Yes, I can take a couple pics later in the week. I'll be tearing mine down to replace an overworked MCR220 in favor of a Feser X-Changer 240 + FC GPU block. I'll make sure to post them up later.

As far as fan orientation, yea, I had to flip the PSU upside down so the 120mm fan was blowing up instead of down and out.

Sorry for the late response, been away from the forums these past few days. I had MM drill the bottom section to allow the 120.1 barbs to pass through. I also had them drill the top section for the 120.2 rad. I think they charged a extra $20 or so. You can do this yourself with a 1 inch whole saw also.

I'll be doing my H2Go soon with 3 loops in it. I only hope I can get it as neat and efficient as this one.

Hey BoostFed, one further question: Did you request a special size for the rear rad holes in order to mount the PA 120.2 flush against the case? I notice that the holes for the barbs on mine are nowhere near big enough for the TC outlets on the rad.

WOW, you are my Idol, I am doing somewhat the same thing, I have a rampage formula and that case, that same resi, i liked that resi because i could use it for 2 loops.
Man your tubing and cabling is superb, must have taken some trial and error to rock that together. :up: that is one top notch build.

HI, i have been using it as a bench station , it works great with the front and top off. I first am rebuilding my 2 wiorkstations, 1 is done and the second is ready to move into it;s case. then i will put the rampage extreme on the H2go. I have all the waterblocks, a 4870x2 and a QX6850, plus i just ordered a pair of Dominators DDR2 10000 so it should all come togehter next week...

Mad props for this build. Linked to it from another site & glad I did. Preparations are underway to start my own similar build. Most my parts will be bought by next week then I can get working on it. Can't wait. BooStFeD I used you as a recomdation for joining the site hope you don't mind.

Extremely clean build can't wait to see if I can do a similar job. I can only hope haha! I'm just abit curious how you mounted the rads in the back? Did you just screw through the fan/case/into the rad fan mounts?

Also what GPU coolers are those?

I usually hate this cases, square boxes with weird designs and stuff, BUT yours has effort, dedication, style and a lot of organization which makes it the most attractive "square" build I have seen in my life so far.
