2nd section top- the lower plate drops in and is sealed on its underside by the center o-ring.

Bottom of 3rd section. The channels were used to allow some water over the tops of the pins and slightly reduce the impingement.

3rd section in place. I beveled the tops of the pins to reduce resistance to water entering the pin matrix.

Yes, I actually put "Brute Force" on the top. :rolleyes: Cheesy, I know... it is sort of a joke actually. It stemmed from the idea to take the brute force approach and make a huge pin matrix and resulting huge block. There are only so many pins you can cram into a certain area, so eventually you just have to increase that area. The flow is laminar across the block but it doesn't matter because this isn't a block like the fusion with a thin base. I specifically wanted a nice thick base that would evenly spread the heat out across and reduce temperature spikes, so that is what I did. :)

oh wow, that thing is definitely massive. (although not as big as that other block that was made, some should know what I am talking about) let us know the temps!

Interesting block, good pics too. I could immediately tell how it worked once you posted the 2nd & 3rd pic - the lower plate. I'm not too sure about the shallow channels you put in the bottom of the middle section though. Letting some water bypass might hurt performance slightly. Any chance you made a 2nd section without the channels to test whether they help or not?

At nearly 800g I don't think a mount is required...as long as the mobo is in a horizontal position :D

The size is massive, I really like how you purposefully cut around the caps and made it custom to the board...very sharp!!

Good thinking on the thicker base, I think that's what you need for the larger pin matrix....

And you better stop that before you make me start looking at stepper motors and stuff I don't have money for...:D

How wide is the step on the base of that block?

That is definitely what I would call a beefy block. I'm sure it'll do good on the G0

You should honestly try to to start selling your stuff man! I have only seen quality products coming from you that I would snap up in a heartbeat!

As you can tell by the pics this block has its own area code on the board.


I just finished refilling my loop and am idling at 19C in the bios, which isn't bad considering the ambient is 19C. Time to install windows and put some load on this puppy.

Thanks for the comments all, I am off to the shop to fill more ramsink orders so I have to split for the night. I will report back tomorrow with my initial OC and some load delta numbers.

It is actually light blue. My GF bought cheap light bulbs so it is hard to get a decent pic without sunlight.

Edit: Here's some initial idle/load temps after a quick OC to 3ghz on stock vcore, room ambient is 21C:

Speedfan was calibrated to match my ambient on average of the two core temps and the reading from the bios.

those temps are great!!! is that a b3 or a g0 stepping???

It is a G0, I wanted to add by the way that the PA160 was starting to blow some pretty hot air by the time the temps stabilized so with a higher CFM fan I think I can get the idle/load delta even lower. Right now it is about 11C, I am hoping for 8C or so at this Clock/vcore.

The housing is all brass besides the base. I am thinking about making a Black deltin top next week just to see how it looks though.


This block is looking pretty awesome. I OC'ed up to 3.3ghz @ 1.35vcore (in bios) and the average load delta is 13C. From the numbers I've seen this is looking up there with the EK supreme and D-Tek Fuzion or maybe even a hair better at least at this speed/vcore. :D

I am slowly working my way up on my OC (this is my first Intel system in years) so I want to get some numbers @~ 3.5ghz and 1.4v or so since that is around where I've seen most of the tests done on other the blocks. At least then a semi-accurate performance comparison can be made at approximately the same heat load.

Like I said over at overclock.net, I think that thing is dead sexy. You got talent, man.

I think you might have better flow with the barbs spaced further apart.. minimal depending on the pump of course, but better ;)

So here is 3.4ghz @ 1.4v in bios (1.3 in cpu-z after vdroop) Ignore the cpu usage, that is just Vista dicking around in the background but if you bring up the task manager it shows zero cpu usage. I let the temps stabilize for 10+ minutes before the screenie.

I have a 3C cooler ambient temp this morning, the load/idle delta is 11.25C :D

There is no doubt I need to take a bit more scientific approach before I start to make any solid claims about how good or bad this block is, but so far things are looking very good.

I am trying my best to be unbiased and wait for thermal equilibrium before taking screenies but my methods are far from precise. I would be inclined to say that my 11.25C delta was due to cooler water temps, but the water in the loop is getting heated to the point where the fan is blowing warm air and the side of the rad is warm also, so I don't feel that water temps are all that different than yesterday. Plus I have a small loop so I don't feel there is all that much heat capacity.

I have access to lots of test equipment at work so I will try to get you guys some good solid numbers on this.

Looking great man, wish I had the tools and talent that people around here do.
