Well it works perfectly, just as other monitoring tools, it reads what IC sensors detect. You can't blame the software. All of the voltages and temps, except cpu and gpu (which I'm not really sure), are incorrect. I checked with DMM.

Well, it nearly matched readings with Everest Ultimate -- even got the CPU and mobo temp reversed just like Everest :rofl: stupid Winbond sensor :shrug:

works good for me. Its similar to Systool from TechPowerup. If they made a graph on there to monitor peaks and lows it would be even better...

Not entirely sure what TMPIN2 is reading but I sure hope nothing is at 128C :eek: ;)

Voltages are a bit off but not too bad. CPU vcore is just about perfect though which is a first for any software, it fluctuates a little but its pretty darn close!

ok i have still been finding ways to use MBM even now on p5b, ga p35-ds3p but i would love to have an alternative ......

this app with all info in one window, showing what we choose in the system tray and loging like mbm has low/high/avg that would own since we really need a nice light app with couple of those options and not have to bother with manifacturer bloatware or in my case spending days configuring mother board monitor on every new mobo i get

Voltages a bit off, but CPU and GPU temps agree with CoreTemp/TAT and ATI CCC. Also, the CPU voltage is correct.

I am really liking this program. Such a small utility with a very plain interface, but gives everything you need in one app. Just a question. My 8800 Ultra shows its core temp but what about ambient and fan speed? Just an idea if you wish to include this info in an update. Thanks again.

Another thing to mention. The PWM and NB temps seem reversed on my DFI Lanparty UT P35 when compared to Everest or Smart Guardian.

the fans on the gigabyte-p35 are totaly correct yet, fanin2 is about 300 where it should be 1200 ish, cpuz do you need another dump for that?

oh and is it possible to make the voltages like in CPU-Z with 3 decimal instead of just 2

as in right now 1.25v in this while cpu-z is 1.248 (i know its close i just like the way cpu-z shows it better)

Gigabyte P35-DS3P - IT87* all ok except fans, OS win 2003 server enterprise
Asus M2A-VM - IT87* - all temps, voltages ok but i dont have any fans in that computer - OS win 2003 server std
Intel DQ965GF - showing as uGuru - CPU and HDD ok, OS Vista 32bit

I have also a Ati x1800xt on the Gigabyte machine and it is only showing core temp while it has the ambient temp sensor also

when i have time ill try attaching all fans to both the Ga and Asus to make sure that they are all ok, just no time right now

few recommendations:
1. a tray icon, or more of them, ability to choose which
2. a log file, of temps, or everything
3. third digit for the voltages

otherwise it's great, I'm using it all the time, instead of dozen other programs, thanks for it :up:

and there should be the minnimum value just like there is a maximum atm,

maximum is fine for temps to see how high they went, but minimum is needed for voltages to see how low they droped

I would love some "events" addeed, i.e shut down computer is fan speed gets to a certain level - just incase my DDC pumps stop :)

This tool is so much better then coretemp. Coretemp would always freeze up my system or hard lock it and cause my system to make an alarm sound.

but, did you plug it in cpu-fan header? that should be enough, wouldn't it?

It's reading my system temp at -18c everything else is fine in vista 64.

Probably Tcase.

FYI, for C2Ds, Tcase is a single thermal diode located within the CPU die between the cores and is the sensor your BIOS reads. Not to be confused with Tjunction, which is a thermal sensor integrated within each core.

According to HWMonitor, my "CPUTIN" reads 6c higher than my Q6600's core temperatures. It should be the other way around (if it actually is Tcase) because Tjunction should always read at least 10c higher than Tcase, especially under load. But that's probably more the fault of my BIOS than HWMonitor because my P5K Deluxe mobo is reading my CPU temp 20c above ambient at idle. :mad:

Having the ability to create offsets to correct my problem would be great. :up:

That is what's so good about core temps, they always stay the same, no matter what motherboard you use.

Core Temp is the best, no doubt.

But I use x64 Vista, and if Core Temp worked without having to disable signed drivers I wouldn't use anything else. :up:

And please, don't link me to a site showing how to disable UAC, I know how to do it, it's a royal PITA and it defeats the real reason why i use x64 Vista anyway.

Just to make myself clear, I wasn't talking about Core Temp, I was talking about the temperature the cores themselves report.

Yeah, have it connected to a fan header, pretty sure board bios' only has option for max temperature shut down and not minimum RPM shut down.

I know Speedfan does it, but I don't think it's very good software.
