You can say all you want, but the fact is the perfomance is not there. BIOS, errata, steppings.. a good Phenom, when? 2020? And for compatibility... if the perfomance is bad in AM2+ mobos, what about current AM2?

Still i wont buy it because if i was to buy a CPU it would have to have higher Ghz value then the current one or otherwise it does not feel like an upgrade.
It 'aint news here, I've had one for a while but no DIMMs and now that I have RAM I get BSOD on bootup with ATi card installed and only VGA mode which sucks completely. The AM2 Sapphire board I have doesn't boot with 9500 (black screen) and the MSI board gives only VGA mode so still waiting.Quote:

370$ for a 9500 where i live. So it seems its on par with the Q6600 in terms of pricing. Only a mere 10$ difference, in favor of the 9500. Not quite attractive just yet i must say. Maybe a 20-40$ cut would be a better start for it.
