The QX9650 is reported to be due for official launch on Monday, without breaking NDA's does anyone know if Intel are having any press conferences on Monday and are any documents in distribution that come off embargo on Monday?

QX9450 is due for Q1 08, not Monday... Monday is only for the QX9650.
Sorry brainfreeze..I meant the QX9650
really!! this monday? if so, christmas came early.
It's already been well reported that the nda lifts Monday.
I'm just asking if anything's changed......
I'm wondering if Intel are going to drop the price of the Q6600 on Monday as well (even $10) to spoil AMD's Phenom launch later in the week.
Reviews have already been posted.
November 12th is just Newegg day.
how do you change the title of a thread? i've never done it.
yes. It will be available on Monday.
I already have one spoken for from an Intel R&D chum.
Also keep an eye out for the upcoming Intel video card that should be out within a few months. Supposed to spank anything Nvidia or ATI is coming up with, hence why Nvidia is so hard up on getting their 1TFlop card out ASAP. ;)
Hey, there are AMD fan boys and there are Intel fan boys..
They all get their facts a little wacko at times..
Now did I tell you about the 4 socket-32 core machine that Intel dropped off here yesterday?..Oh, and I have this swampland for sale if you beleive that one!
What's the expected price for a qx9650.. just got a nice bonus at work and it's begging me to spend it on something!
Just preorder a QX9650 for monday! Am looking forward to seeing how far these go!

naughty OCUK. They weren't meant to do pre-orders until tomorrow. Hence why the pre-order was pulled earlier in the week. Very few of these chips in the UK for launch.
So I have to wait till 2008 for a Q9450?!? Oh man this build is going to take forever.:(
Heh, everything is "already available" in Taiwan. This is why all the Taiwanese hardware sites have their reviews done a few months ahead of the North American sites.
so, i know its been asked, but am I correct in believing charts posted that say 2008 for the lower end quads? I knew november was the date for the qx9650, but i halfway expected them to put out atleast the high end dual core e8500 before the holiday season. Seems to me like that would be smart because they would make alot of money and then enthusiasts would quickly replace it with a quad a few months later.
According to xfastest.com forums, one person is using a Q9450 in an Asus Commando motherboard. The BIOS is missing the microcode, but it works.
