DFI LanParty P35 DK

looks good. only thing i don't like about it is the orange slots. would've been nice if they used the lime green color instead like on their other P35 LanParty boards.
looks like a LanParty Blood Iron
How much? :)
Lovin the orange too.
I like the layout. Not bad at all. But I wonder how it performs?
Single PCIe x16 slot
if it's in the 200 buck range, and overclocks like it's older brother, it looks like a winner!
more info would be great. Can anyone find out something about the price?
Nicksterr: you are write, most of us don't need the second PCIeX X16 slot, so a cheaper lanparty with no crossfire would be awsome.
I like the fact that it only has a single PCIe slot. If you want Crossfire you should buy a X38 board (yes it's gonna be more expensive, but that shouldn't be a problem if you can afford 2 video cards).
Does anyone know anything about the differences between this one and the other two P35 DFI boards? It doesn't look like this one has digital PWMs, or am I wrong?
yea, you're rite. it doens't have digital pwms =( capactors are all around the socket
I Love IT!
Seccond PCI-e removed, No heat pipes (cooling can be selectively replaced if need be!), colour is nicer that the green and layout looks fantastic.
If it shares the bios and other features of its big brother I will have to buy one!
I'd give up my second PCI-E 16X slot for another PCI slot in a heartbeat.......
finally... an affordable intel LP board.
I've read it will cost about 150-170 $ :welcome:

omg!!! im LOVING this board, but cant seem to find it! not even on the DFI page :S want one!!!!
yep , "its the new BLood iron" >> http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...4&postcount=16
mascaras: this board deserves a dedicated topic. It will be a winner.
I might get one but im still griped about the floppy placement, I wish it was near the ide slot
yep , realy deserves , im waiting for them too ;)
i dont know if DFI gave up of this model, i saw them on DFI website last week but they are no longer there
More info:

The Taiwanese manufacturer DFI will put on the market a new motherboard for benchers . This is the DFI LP DK P35.
So what does this card was different from other models P35 (LP and other Iron Blood).
http://aycu34.webshots.com/image/322...5365918_rs.jpg
At first glance, the map is an evolution of the Iron Blood. Le layout est sensiblement identique avec un seul port pci-e, pas de caloduc amovible à l'image de la DFI P 35 qui est remplacé par le petit rad de la Blood Iron. The layout is substantially identical with a single port pci-e, no removable heat in the image of the DFI P 35 which is replaced by the small rad of the Iron Blood.
The clear cmos is also placed on the back of the card in order practice.
However pcb the color of black and yellow and orange slots, ports SATA angle on the edge of the card, the battery's BIOS has also been moved. De même, l'étage d'alimentation est refroidit par deux rads comme ceux de la DFI LP UT ICFX3200 et la prise d'alimentation 8 pins est placé sur le coté gauche du socket. Similarly, the floor supply is cooled by two rads such as the DFI LP UT ICFX3200 and plug 8 pins is placed on the left side of the socket.
http://aycu09.webshots.com/image/340...4878107_rs.jpg
Two small negative points, however:
- There is no leds debugs
- The card would benefit from solid capacitors agreement on the socket
- A nice mobo to Benchrs therefore knowing that the price would be relatively accessible. But with DFI is always the same fight: why leave cards always late?

That is seriously the nicest motherboard I have ever seen.
Hmm I have high hopes for this board. Maybe we'll see something like the NF4 LP boards of the s939 era?
To be more specific: like the Ultra D vs Expert :) In this case LP DK vs LP TR2 ;)
only 4 phases :(
i like the LP P35-T2R anyway
Damnit, right after I bought my Blood Iron.
I hope it improves on the BloodIron. That board will perform excellently for about a month, and then it'll take a crap on you. :(
It look a lot better than blood iron! :D And its a full ATX board too!
Is there an all solid caps version?
I dont think this board will see the light of day. Bah, I think LP boards are forever out of my reach. The last LP I had was the Sexpert but I got it for a bargain.
damn this is nice. might consider buying it instead of the asus p35 boards.
I sure do hope DFI really becomes widely available in my country.
Too the many of posters who responded saying "They don't need the extra PCIe slot" "Get the x38 for crossfire" i was referring to the fact that you can't run an extra monitor with a PCIe card like what i am doing currently.
Also with today's cards the advantage the x38 has in crossfire isn't worth it's high price... http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/200...8_versus_p35/1
I like the cmos reset jumper on the back panel. No digging around under gfx cards to find it.
Me tooooooQuote:
If that makes it cheap, ill buy it!
God damnit, every time i see a LanPary i wish there was a mATX LanParty, i would buy 45 of them!
-tam2-
As much as I love DFI, can't help thinking that they are slacking recently. This board seems a little dissapointing. Was also hoping that they would be selling some killer X38 boards now at the very least. Asus already has some great P35 boards. As it stands now I hav'nt even seen DFI P35 boards for sale in the stores.
I just hope DFI won't let me down for much longer otherwise I'll have to change my name:D
Also a lot venders in the Uk are not even stocking DFI at all.:(
because they don't have a UK distributer, it shut down. Ebuyer UK had DFI P35 boards (the LP P35-T2R and Blood Iron) I'm not sure if they still have but they must have got them through some other distrubtion channel. DFI's timing with P35 was quite good, they was no where near as late as RD600 or 680i and they're a 2nd teir manufacturer. Asus and Gigabyte always seem to have boards out even before a chipset is officially launched.
Abit don't have their X38 out yet either, although it's very very close.
Ahhhh the return of the guy who puts those little toys in every picture, he haunts me in my dreams :p: Sexy board.
It does, as I'm looking at it right now
http://www.ebuyer.com/search/?strSea...olShowAll=true
Seems like they don't carry the Blood Iron any more, maybe because it's no longer being produced as it's being replaced by the DK?
But the UT P35-T2R is there.
I like the orange.
I like the layout.
I like single PCIE 16x.
I like 3 PCI at the bottom.
I like no digital PWM.
I like no heatpipe crap.
But I dont like this tipe of BIOS, and I dont like the fact that DFI boards are always late in the game.
What DK means? Donkey Kong?
DFI has always been late, they should rename their boards Party Crashers.
Excellent layout... no heatpipes, no digital VRM... loiving it...
too bad it is once again months behind the competition.
cant argue that the board does not look nice.. but i have no need to upgrade to that since i already have the Dfi lanparty ut p35 T2R
Im getting one for sure with a Penryn and my old Ballistix!
DFI Afterparty boards... LOL
...sad...,but true :p
If it came out monthssssssssssssss ago when I bought my P35 board, I might have considered it, now that X38 is out... No reason to even give a second look.
For singel card use i would go P35 at any time (at least for now)
This and a DFI X38 might be out... oh... about when Eaglelake comes out. And everyone should understand why... because DFI is the best... at releasing last generation's chipset.
P35 isn't last generations technology though. X38 seems to show no benefit untill you use DDR3 or want the extra bandwidth when using a high resolution crossfire setup.
I plan on buying anywhere between three and five of these motherboards with only one purpose in mind: to overclock them until they die a slow, horrible death amid a shower of sparking PWMs and melted capacitors.
This board really looks great compared to the BI. :D Not all people want pure performance alone. There are also those lan party goers who wants both performance and looks.
what about a DFI X48 lol..
Stx, what is that mobo in your sig?
iirc its the one intel used to demo their 80-core chip
anyone know when this is coming out?
some info about DFI X38 and DFI LP DK ;)
DFI UT X38 - 41800 JPY = 369.32 USD
DFI LP DK P35 - 21800 JPY = 192.61 USD
hope this one comes out.
I agree. I'm not going to get my hopes up though.. Im definitely not interested in the DFI x38 LP board..
Good news: :D
DFI P35 DK and DFI X38 prices in Romania. (in US it's much cheaper :( )
DFI LP DK P35-T2R, P35/ICH9 175.30 USD
DFI LP DK P35-T2RS, P35/ICH9R solid caps - 192.23 USD
DFI UT X38 - 346.36 USD
These are the prices after they added 19% TVA plus other taxex. :(
I wonder how i'm able to get one of these... :(

DFI Intros New LANParty Member, the LANParty DK P35-T2R
Presently, DFI has already released 3 models which are based on Intel P35 chipset. For satisfying different levels of users, now a brand new series is about to join the LANParty family, the LANParty DK P35-T2R motherboard. “This is a value-add upgrade of the Dark series, a hybrid for both hard core gamers and budget-overclockers!” said Jarry Cheng, the LP motherboard designer. The LP exclusive black PCB is equipped with glowing-orange slots, solid aluminum capacitors, 4-phrase digital PWM, 6x SATAII ports with RAID support, ALC885 8CH sound, and other goodies like EZ CMOS jumper and built-in Power/Reset buttons.

Should be in stock very soon. From i've heard in about a week. I don't know for sure. But this is Romania and everything arrives later.
I thought it wasn't going to have a Digital PWM

i've got problem whit my mobo i want to install vista and setup is asking for drivers. somebody have the same problem?? on dif dk p35-t2rs??
:)
i have solved the problem :) you have to switch off usb in bios and setup is going normally now:)
Oskar doesn't usually do the budget boards. Easy to tell by looking at the circuit layout.
it can do 470FSB on my Q6600

Looks like this motherboard will be in stock in the UK at Scan very soon.
http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=787775 £80.95 Inc VAT quite reasonable.
As well as X48 chipset etc.
It's a nice board, only problem I have is it cannot tell the difference between +/- temperatures, ie it has a cold boot problem under -100°
Mine colboots at -70C, although CPU overheat temperature is set to 95C.
It was November I was looking to buy this board.
My how the time passes.
