On Air......not Maxed Out Yet....

funny thing is that you are using and amd based gfx card :D
nice result though, i remember coming close to that on air...NOT lol :ROTF:
-
OMG!
this chips will do 5ghz on air, intel ftw atm!
really nice chip hipro5! push that voltages :D
regards
-
These are sick results for quad core and air cooling. Must get yorkfield soon...
Waiting those 6GHz 3D runs :D You can do it.
-
omfg, sub 10 on air :slobber:
-
nice score on air! keep on OCing!
-
no words to say...
congrats hipro

it looks good hipro :D , cold winter one's again in greece i see :p:
-
This is nothing..... :D
It can do 4374MHz 2k6 with ONLY 1.36VCore....:D

Not yet, but it does ~ 485MHz (haven't pussed it for more though) with 1.36VCore, 1.36VFSB and 1.5VPLL...

OMG
Amazing chip(s) that you have there my friend
The battles of sub10s with 65nm chips will not make any sense :(

OMG 1.48V 4.6ghz air:eek:

Impresive Hipro
I just cant believe it i thought that maybe 4.3GHz for the first 45nm CPUs but 4.5GHz with all cores one and low volts is amazing.
Run 3dmark01 please :)

I have done full benchies on air.....Default - 3.6GHz - 4GHz - 4303MHz and 4550MHz till now.....but I'll upload them tomorrow coz I have a LOT of pictures to fix.....:(
4303MHz 2k1 with CF (like abobe), is 82924marks....

7.XXX secs on super pi 1m? is it posible at 6GHz?

JEEZ George. If these can do this on air we got to get some of them over into WCG!
Amazing to see a sub 10s run on air..Congrats!

Amazing, let's hope de Q9450 and Q9550 do this well:D,temps on it on air please

OMFG :eek2:
:bounces:
I had never expected York to do this great, I had expected perhaps 4.2GHz or so at such voltages on good samples of the 3GHz model but 4.65GHz 1.49v superpi run!
I agree with you hipro, poor AMD. As it seems now they won't get as much love from enthusiasts as Penryn will get.

Into bios I see 24*C on the mobo and 24*C on the CPU at 3.6GHz and default VCore....
At 1.356VCore and 4303MHz into bios I see ~37*C...

WTF, that's just unreal. :D What stepping is yours then, C0 perhaps?
I think this would do sth along 6.2GHz on LN2 possibly if you got a good enough mobo for it lol.

How far Q9450 will go will depend mostly on your motherboard it seems like now with 8x multi. Too bad 8.5x and 9x multi version is so much expensier, with Penryn those high multis will come useful for sure...
-
It's fascinating to see the fantastic numbers done with 3 stage cascades and LN2, but in a way it's much better to see what can be done in a real world situation.
I see your numbers and they tell me I can run that myself at over 4000mhz 24/7 and that impresses the crap out of me.
You really got me excited over this one George!

And if the chip allows it,my board does 500FSB so I don't think I will have a trouble due to FSB(4Ghz for daily use would good enough for me:D) but due to the chip heat:up:
-
Personally this is the most suprising overclock results of a product I've ever seen. But it seems the samples only keep getting better and better by every new revision so imagine what York might do with some later revisions. :D
Quote:

Well quads usually doesn't allow as high fsb as dual cores so that's my main concern, my E6750 does at least 515fsb at 6x multi with stock volts (haven't tested higher) and 500~505 on 7x multi and tops at 469x8 so I don't think at least mine would do 500 fsb with a quad but I'd be happy with 8x480 too for example. :D
-
Wow cool. 3.6ghz runs much faster?

Air results at 1.5V were about 4500MHz there (I think) and 1.304V for 4GHz :)
According to here http://www.ocxtreme.org/forumenus/sh...1152#post21152 Temps are reported confusingly and higher by Core Temp.

Holy hell.
Those clocks remind me of Intel's first 65nm shrink--Cedar Mill and Presler.
Looking forward to seeing 6GHz.
-
This is killing us George but never have we seen such a good leap in perfomance of new product. These just look like they will be toys we cant do without. Here I am struggling to get 4300Mhz benchable on my QX6700 and you doing it on air.
Two of them at 4000Mhz and maybe rumoured tri cards hehe and we will all need that fancy PSU of yours lol.:ROTF:

:eek2: that's insanely good

Silly air clocks, you guys are gonna have a blast.

Leaving tonight for our date George, I got another one along with me to back you and Vince up with, lapped but not mirror :)
-

 yaak 4.6GHz on air it very very nice chip and amazed for Vcore to lower , What week your CPU ?
My chip week 34 is can touch 4.6 too but on water and high vcore than you
wait look under freezer from you hipro5 :D

I'll max it out on air in half and hour and then when I take it off to put it under LN2, I'll see it's BATCH and I'll tell you....:)
At this point, I HAVE to thank Gorillakos a.k.a. "GOLDEN HAND"..... :D......He brings me a QX6700 which did 5GHz.......then he "touches" and brings me a QX6850 that does 5500MHz and now he "touches" and brings me this one which will do...?.... :)

On Saturday noon.....The dedicaded server of Plaisio Computers will not be able to "handle" the load so it wont be an live stream....:(

Too bad :(
What about someone who takes pics and uploads them to XS when you're benching? That would be +/- a live show ;)

We are going to upload MANY photos AND VIDEOS.... ;) :D

Great chip. Happy benching :toast:

Dont forget to run a winrar benchmark too with ln2 :D.

love it or hate it - these are great indicators of what the future holds for us :D

chip and board FSB limits will hamper these chips.... I suppose thats a compliment in an odd kinda way- the chip ceilings are so high
5GHz++ on a simple SS? :)

HOLY GOD :eek    .
I knew Yorky will be good, but 4.75ghz with 1.57v is out of this world.

Awesome result on air!!! Actually im more curious about the mobo that you were using, a "WS" Pro mobo. Does it have all the settings u need?

Awesome stuff George, wish I could have made it too.
Glad you guys are enjoying the new revs too, hopefully we get an SLI driver and correct bios soon so I can push multi GPU too.
ATI has no cards for me so I dont even care to push crossfire, but I could be rolling 5.3Ghz benches now on Vapo.
