They received the test sample's a few days back...

When i asked tricia when will the retail version be ready for sale...they said they couldn't say (problem @ d-tek) was stopping there release for the time being...said they will update me next week on eta...

danny said they would be shipping out this past friday... no idea if it indeed happened.

I tried checking if its available on dtek site yet (if they were shipping it to stores, I would assume they would have them available on their own site finally), but the site appears to be down.

How many is a few? I don't see them lasting more than a few hours once word gets out lol ;)

But I guess I can wait seeing as I'm not going to open up my loop till I do a major overhaul and replace the radiator. Guess I'll see waht kind of improvements it makes first then!:up:

They must make some difference, since there's a space left for them to fit and the flow isn't going in it's intended path until that space is filled. It will only be a small, couple of degrees difference I'd expect.
They've been delayed and delayed, so don't hold your breathe.
Alex isn't totally clear if his arriving nozzles are the retail shipment or test samples like Radical got (see link in first post).

I'm not? I've had test samples for months, just like Scott. The nozzle kits that are arriving tomorrow are the retail kits. :D

Increase velocity into the block. Nikshub has posted good results on a single block loop with c2d's

Not sure about the theory behind matching nozzle to cpu. I'm just very happy to have the locating space filled and circulation returned to plan.

Better performance, basically focused/increased flow onto the pin surfaces = better temperatures. Maybe you missed this from nikhsub ;)

Well, now that you've gone and dug that back up, I may as well repost the pressure drop data that I posted in that thread.

Now, keep in mind that the chart below is comparing two of the prototype nozzles to a stock FuZion and a flat Apogee GTX (though, they're the same nozzles that Scott was using). However, the chart doesn't take into account that a bowed Apogee GTX should have a slightly lower pressure drop than a flat one and that the D-Tek nozzle kit now includes a flat gasket to insure that the block's inlet pathway is properly sealed. In other words, I still have a lot more work to do... as always :rolleyes:

By bowing the Apogee GTX, you're also increasing the volume of the block's inner chamber (i.e. the distance between the tops of the pins and the top of the block's inner housing is increased). I still have to test this to see how much of a difference it really makes, though.

As for the 'dual-die' nozzle, I didn't have a prototype for that one when I did my first run of pressure drop testing.

That is the point of the different sizes. People with less restrictions are going to want to use the smaller nozzle. People with more restrictions are going to want to use the bigger nozzle.

I cant speak for the quad but the smallest nozzle (4.5mm) will be the best bet no doubt about it. I tested 4.5mm, 6.5mm and 7.5mm nozzles and the bigger ones are not worth the effort IMO. I do believe that Danny made a 5.5mm nozzle at my request but I was not able to test that one as it was never a prototype size. 5.5mm would possibly be a good alternative to those obsessed with system flow rate at the detriment of CPU temps (I never understood this mentality but w/e). The Fuzion with the 4.5mm nozzle is just a bit better in terms of pressure drop than a GTX so in my book the 4.5mm is ideal - and it tests VERY well as you can see. I asked Danny to have a 3.5mm nozzle made for me as there is still too much flow with the Fuzion and the 4.5 mm nozzle in my loop (system NEVER bleeds LOL).

No this will NOT bow the base, just seal it up. A little birdie told me that just with the seal you should see ~1C improvement :D

OK I could swing $6.50 for those.... But the question is, would they really help much on my naked opteron? As it is my full load temps are only mid-40's and that includes my X1950XT under full load as well. Without the X1950XT under load my CPU is only about 41C loaded.

Worth it? Yes, no, maybe so? I'm guessing not...

For a cpu only loop either the 4.5 or the 3.5. nikhsub1 tested the nozzles and the 4.5 performed the best. Danny never got a 3.5 to him to test, but said the 3.5 would probably perform better than the 4.5. Only time and testing will tell.

Yeah, NCIX has some great prices, and a large variety, but shipping costs really hurt. I hope that some day they get a warehouse in the US.

Usually they ship real fast..now not sure if there is a problem with my payment CC...USPS recently changed my zipcode..real pain for paying for stuff

well I ordered at 10pm est..so I did not expect to ship last night...I ordered once before and they had to call my home...probably the stupid zipcode...USPS updated but few online places even recognize the new zip yet

If I would have known this, I would have have requested over night early morning delivery. I ended up doing first class :-(
