Pretty neat. :)
Validation: http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/vmu9z
sweet we need one of these :D
it works too
Hmm early beta though (0.0.2) so I don't expect it to be totally stable right now for everyone. But hey its another tool in progress :D
I noticed it calls my 2D clocks my "default" clock, hm interesting...
Sweet, finally
cool dude
very cool
It crashed my computer...
very nifty....nice one...few bugs but that'll sort :)
no ROPs or fillrates????
shader clock detected incorrectly also.
Works great for me. Reads both GPU's in SLI nicely.
that's pretty neat, at first I thought it was a joke, but this thing seems to really do what people what!
What a great idea, can't wait to go home and try it.
Thanks ferds
Nice little software
http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/1489/gpuzoh8.jpg
couple of notes, it reports the memory frequency in its ddr value in the current tab whereas it uses the normal value in the default . Shaders....
bout time something alike was out nevertheless
I concur that, its nice to know that some little homegrown diagnostic tools will work in Vista x64 with driver signing too. As long as they keep it working with the fixes.
http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b7...u-z-dainas.jpg
just tried it on my work lappy too, works :)
http://img65.imageshack.us/img65/3514/gpuzun0.jpg
i'll give the proggy a go on my other laptop tomorrow .
Nice app, it seems ATI Tool is forgotten...:(
wow finally!! nice! but it reads my 1950xtx clock wrong but i don't care. lots of detailed info and pretty good for a beta
Works great for me as well..
http://upload.nickfire.com//files/13/gpuzafter.PNG
cool!
http://img470.imageshack.us/img470/4797/34705339oe8.jpg
the only thing it got wrong is the display, lol @ 7" when its 50"
Very cool, thanks.
doesn't work for me - "encounter.....
Wow, this is pretty awesome, I hope they keep this going and update it.
Yeah, I got the "Encountered an error" message too.
No worky.
im not getting any pixel fill rates
Dang, I guess I gotta upgrade my graphic card since everyone has a better graphic card now.
Just kidding, I'll keep my graphic card until it dies. :D
Not sure what the error could be caused by.
You guys have the .NET Framework 2.0 installed?
Amazing!!
http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/fnkzk
I was waiting for this. It recognizes even my display.
It works.
But, I am guessing for 8800GTS's, it doesn't show "Pixel Fillrate" or "Texture Fillrate" or "Bus Width" or "Bandwith".
Awesome for a beta!
very cool, even shows my 16 pixel pipelines, which is only supposed to have 12, but I unlocked the quad
Very nice. A new toy to play with. Strange it gives me DX 9C in Vista, maybe because I loaded 3dmark06
its about time someone made one for gpu's
Pretty awesome, props to the creator for making this
Works for me.:guitar: :rocker: Attachment 65264
Attachment 65263
Sweet! Works here.
i'd be a little :banana::banana::banana:ty with them for the naming if i was Franck unless he was consulted first :shakes:
nice idea in any case LOL :)
All you guys with that old GDDR3 stuff. SDR is the future!
http://www.h2vista.net/innergoat/net/LolGPUz.jpg
It'll be nice once the bugs are worked out. :)
Finally!
Nice little app. Works great for me :D
Will this work on XP SP2 with no .NET?
Useless to me if not :(
gr8 m8 woof.
ach mine doesnt read fillrates or rops or shaders :(
same result as Candyman
Quote:
works for me but it doesnt read all the info on my card
this would be useful to see the improvment ocing makes to the card.
sweet ... now when we going to see some hacked sli drivers for g8's
great program, 10x :)
thanks for the proggie.
good one indeed and helpful.
It is working, but some info are inaccurate ... who needs that program? No one ...
While all is beautiful, I hope the project will continue to develop and will support 100 % of videocards
http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/8q23c
tisk, tisk
You might wanna hang up that attitude buddy. The guy didn't create this proggy to annoy you. If you don't find the proggy useful then there are ways to say so without sounding like such a spoilt child.
I suggest you go learn some new phrases.
:shakes:
EDIT...
I've just noticed you're the "17-mobos-whilst-on-same-socket" guy
nuff said
Ah where should I place the file? When I run it, the program will crash and say that it cant find a required file.
very cool prog, kinda of redundant but i guess it will be useful for some
Nice little prog...
BUT
In the end, essentially, this has very little use.
Really, for what would one need this?
It's not like CPU-Z which has about 10 usefull strings (CPU + bus freqs + memory timings). Whereas GPU-Z (rip-off name?) only has the GPU clocks of interest. But then again, the usual GPU clock utilities (AtiTool, Rivatuner eg.) also display the temps.
What does GPU-Z has to offer?
Could be very useful for GPU overclocks @ HWbot. Just like how you have CPU-Z validation files for overall CPU overclocks, same could easily be done for GPU clocks and use this program. Great program, just need to make it truly standalone(not .NET)
it does not need .net
and yes the name is similar to cpu-z but just to make sure YOU immediately know what it is... also talked to cpu-z author and he said it's ok
largon: have you been around when atitool was version 0.0.5 ? it had nothing to offer over other oc tools as well
Works fine with my 8800GTX and 64bit Vista:
http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/f5mng
Good news Wizz, looking forward to this developing into a robust toolkit program.
I havent gone home yet to test it, but does it update clocks on the fly as you OC in Riva/ATITool? I'd like that compared to running the Riva graph to see true clocks.
W1zzard,
I mean GPUs are technically speaking boring.
There's no bus freqs, timings, multipliers, dividers, latencies or cache sizes (of interest).
Just the two proverbial clock frequencies.
So, I take ATiTool will no longer be developed and GPU-Z will take over the OC'ing part too?
If so, sure, bring it on.
:)
BTW, I wonder why some GTS owners (me included) don't get some of the strings displayed; I'm missing "ROPs", "Shaders", "Pixel Fillrate", "Texture" "Fillrate", "Bus Width" and "Bandwidth".
doesn't start on my lappy with RS690M:rolleyes:
how do I make it work? My system becomes buggy after running the program. :(
My media player won't work after a failed run and I cannot bring up the Task Manager with CTRL+ALT+DEL.
Doesnt work on my toshiba A10 laptop ... lol, says no compatable hardware.
I've also got the semi-working 8800GTS.
Cool looking program, hope it keeps getting updated
Would like to see it support the old hardware, including PCI cards if possible.
That way when benching (even SPI) we can just screenshot our CPU-Z and GPU-Z, and no longer need to list hardware.
It don't work with my Go 6800 Ultra... Will try on my X800 GTO AGP card.
EDIT: don't work on GeForce 2 cards eather.
Pretty good utility.
It works normal for me :D
http://www.imgx.org/pfiles/2433/untitled.PNG
The shader clock monitor seems to have some kind of bug, it should have been 1776mhz. But lets wait for updates :D
It eats my go 7300 that is softmodded to a 7300GS so i don't have to download strange Go drivers :D
http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/6gz2u/
haha it doesn't support this crappy intel integrated graphics here at work
0003 made my pc freeze.... :(
i like it! too bad i dont have internet at home...
Hi, so you are the programmer of this interesting utility...
It's not workin on my machine, but I will give you some info that may (or not) be useful to debug it.
Just downloaded: GPU-Z.0.0.3.exe
(still debugs on start)
Specs:
Win XP SP2
.net 2.0 (I know you said it's not needed, but anyways)
MSI 7600 GT
Forceware 83.90 (maybe old, but working fine)
When i tried to run it it gave me an error en then the system hang itself.:(
very neat program.. thank you ferds for letting us know about it
My work computer.
no problems for me http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/guz4a
http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/1600/gpuzic7.png
working... sweet little progy
http://home.no/smy/dataromme/gpu-z.jpg
her is my
I'm suprised an utility like this hasn't been released earlier, nice we needed this. No probs here with a FRESH Server 2k3 installation.
Nice little program, very useful for those that wants to verify their GPU bios flash.

Hi! It seems that I´m not the only one who has problems with gpu-z recognizing my 8800gts card. No other porblems, this runs just fine. But I wish there will soon be a new version, more advanced and accurate version.
http://koti.mbnet.fi/narkian/picture...xppro32bit.bmp
You see, versions 0.0.2 and 0.0.3 show the same information about my card.
edit: pic updated and confirmed that 0.0.4 detects 8800gts correctly, like they said in changelog
