i got a pair too, fastest ddr3 module i've ever had.
2080 7-6-5 benching :)
Vic what vdimm ?
Kamel what version of cpuz you using ? i can't see the cmd rate on 1.40.5 for my blitz extreme
1.40.9 béta or 1.41.0 béta i think ;)
I test my kit soon too :D
Fast
YEP! 1.40.9
it shows command rate to 1t, but it's 2T !
Kam
Victor, Vdimm?
i've forgotten to say that we have 39°C in Rome now so i've stopped testing, next attempts will be made in another room with air conditioning!
Kam
Very good overclock with 2.24 vdimm and with 39 °C ambient temperature.
Something better ( timings ) with lower temps, and 2,28V

truly interesting these ddr3
nice results
Deam nice score is this price http://geizhals.at/deutschland/?cat=ramddr3 ?
If so, this is best buget or best ever DDR3 memory.
weird 1.41 beta still doesn't show cmd rate on blitz extreme with 0804 bios..
kamel which bios did you use on motherboard ?
thanks
@eva2000
804
still an immature bios IMHO...they have to work!
weird 0804 here as well and no cmd rate

http://fileshosts.com/intel/Asus/Bli...ndwidth_tn.png
http://fileshosts.com/intel/Asus/Bli...nebenchr10.png
But yeah i'm having probs with 0804 bios and 1:2 divider can't clock as high as when i was on 0702 bios.
Asus has to improve more the memory compatibility, sometimes i cannot boot @ 7 7 7 20, same settings, and it boots @ 6 5 5 5 12....

really absurd.
Well we have only to wait, i hope we won't see a new mobo revision to solve theese issues!
Kam
I just flashed down from 0804 to 0802 to see if it's better.. Bachus seems to have had nice results on 0802 :)
did it help eva?
kam, i havent experienced a problem like that on the p5k3 boards here, did you find out what was wrong?
maybe the bios is corrupt?
reset and set everything again?
i'm waiting for my kit to arrive. just ordered @ memoryc :)
if i use the kit 1800MHz with default timings @ 1.9V the memtest86+ makes 130 errors. using it @ 1.7V is ok. what the problem can be?
im an idiot ^^
we test this memory at 1.9v, so if your memory doesnt run stable with 1.9v theres something weird going on... i can only guess that it was damaged somehow or that its something about your board...
so now that you moved the sticks around they work fine with 1.9v right?
Interesting... does 2v work as well?
Any results so far or do i have to wait for the weekend? :D
I hope all goes well at the LN2 party :D :toast:
there are only 20l LN2. I hope it will be enough for 2 CPUs. now I am benching 1800 776-21 @ 1.9v. @ 1.9v there are errors. first of all i need some experience about this kit. we can say I have noobie experince with DDr3.i don't want to burn this baby :) maybe we do some LN2 test with DDR3 next weekend.
So it works with 1.9v now but 1800 776-21 is not 100% stable?
Sounds good, did you try 2v?
Try 2v with 1800 876 and see if it works.
Btw, if 776-21 works then 765-18 will work at the same speed and voltage in my experience :) maybe have to reduce the clock by 10mhz or so but thats it.
20l ln2 ishould be enough for a few fun hours with 2 cpus :D
but too bad you couldnt get more
I hope my sticks are as good or better :)
Just ordered a P5K3 Deluxe and a G0 Q6600. As I already have an E6700 in a Bad Axe 1, might have a play with both CPUs under the Vapo Lightspeed in this mobo. Be interesting at least.
i have to change my anouncment. it' s not rock stable 776-21 1800 @ 2.0v. by the time i got home, hundreds of errors were waiting to be seen. it was under tested testing 765-18 1800 @ 2.0v settings. :( now i get back to 776-21 1800 @ 2.0v errors after almost 2 hours. @ 2.05v errors also. after this i checked sc. one module of two (in dimm1) can not be stable with default settings @ 1.9v. after 5 minutes hundreds of errors. i have to RMA my kit. :(
A sign of "overvoltage killing" is on the way for ddr3? :)
discovered something...
NO cmd rate means 1T
Command rate @ 1T means 2T.
LOL
Kam
you mean in BIOS?
what bios do you use?
I always left it at auto and when i set it to 1t the max speeds werent stable anymore so it seems on 0604, which im using, the command rate setting works fine?
I mean in cpu-z
i am interesting on bye one kit of those...
does it worth???
You leave expensive ddr3 memory on stress test for hours (which is rated 1.7v-1.9v with 2.24v pumpin thru it) and go out and about your buisness????? (wtf you stressin' when you ain't at home for?)
Now you're gonna go whine to the memory company about they're crappy memory I suppose and demand a replacement?
The RMA procedure is there for manufacturing defects or modules which fail they're rated operational use within specific given timelines. It's not there to be abused by stupid little boys whom have little or no regard for equipment and simply believe they can do whatever they like with hardware and not have to live with the consequences.
You need a good slap buddy
look, i wasn't testing with 2.24V. I was testing it at 2.00v with active cooling. From the first time i boot up with this kit i had errors. That module is manufacturing defect. PLS beleive me, i am not a cheater. I work in IT business as you, and i am aware of people try to abuse with it. I have never abused with warranty policies.
SRY if i can't express myself good in english and I was misunderstood!
No need for getting rude and offensive.
He never stated that he ran his sticks at 2.24V, the threadstarter did run them at that speed.
He ran his initial tests within voltage specs and had problems (which can happen).
Comments like "stupid little boys" is also totally uncalled for.
Maybe you should apologize for your remarks.
i think cpuz reports the cmd wrong.
check the bandwidth results.
thanks for worrying about unjustified rmas, but please dont get upset.
as far as i know he only used 2v, which IS above the spec and i didnt ask him to run 2v, but it seems his kit already had a problem from the start.
I was under the impression the op was stressing at 2.24v.......if I misunderstood them I'm sorry also.
I've re-read and should perhaps appologise for taking such an extreme view.....my bad :(
No problem.
Things like that sometimes happen, so no biggie. :)
jugeen :
don't worry about your english. It's pretty good.
We have members from all around the world, and translating something from your native language to english isn't always as obvious as it seems.
many times misunderstandings like this happen people end up disliking each other for no reason :D
jugeen and soldner, im very glad you realized it was a misunderstanding and there are no hard feelings :toast:
jugeen, ill call the main office building and the warehouse to see if the mem has already been received now :)
i thought hungary was more famous for the awesome red wine? :D
im going to pick up your kit now btw :)
EDIT: got the mem running in a system here, is the pink post it on the defective stick from you? :D
hey man, dont think you will like this but... the kit you sent in for rma is running happily at 1975 876-21 1.8v here :D
30min memtest passed
30min orthos passed, ill let ortho run for a couple of hours and see what happens :D
let's see what my kit can do with p5k3 :D
trying to run the kit @1960 87621 2v 400x9
but no luck
trying 480x8 1960 876 1,9v and it works so i guess the divider doesn't work
I can not figure out which RAM multiplier you are using. With FSB 400 MHz and the biggest RAM multiplier (FSB:RAM=1:2) you can do DDR3-1600 and not more.
Anyway, you have to consider the NB strap, with 266 NB strap it is hard to reach RAM frequency close to 2000 MHz, with 200 NB strap it is quite impossible (when you choose RAM multiplier you change the NB strap if you do not fix it from bios setting "NB strap frequency").
rufusz used the orange slots.
i tried the orange slots here as well and i have the exact same problem as rufusz. but in the black slots the kit passed orthos for 5 hours at 1950 876-21 with 1.8 or 1.85v, dont remember exactly.
hmmm how about it rufusz, should i see how high they clock with 765 just to annoy you? heheheh :D
oktoberfest? :D if your coming let me know so we can meet up hehehe :D
ok, let me check :D
about the orange slots... yeah... some sticks can run well in the orange slots too, but they will run even better in the black slots in my experience :D
EDIT: 1830 765-18 1.9v stable :D
i really wonder why the orange slots are worse... i think its the voltage...
running mine at 1850 7 6 5 18 with 1,9 on my p5k3..but there's sth wrong i set to 1t on bios and cpuz keeps showing me 2t
good i should try to run some test bandwidth of the rams to see the diffference then :D
here's a screenie
http://www.pctuner.info/up/results/_...5_q6600new.JPG
so is it just cpuz?
if yes then lmk and i can ask franck to have a look at it.
Having a little play with mine for a while.
Q6600 G0 / Intel HSF 400x8
Asus P5K3D
Cellies @ 1600 / 7-6-5-18 1T (uncooled)
Primed for 30 minutes til the CPU hit 80C lol, Cellies got warm too at 1.8v. Then I started dropping the vdimm and got down to 1.65v stable, SPi 1M 15.75s. Windaz fell over at 1.6v, so stability must lay between 1.6 - 1.65. That's quite tantalising, hope it scales when I start to push them a bit with some cooling.
my cellshock DDR3 arrived this morning :D

but no DDR3-Board :(
oh nice!
do you plan to run xfire? :D
not yet. later perhaps ;)
i hope the cellshock ddr3 1800 performs well. my first ddr3 ever.
Damn, my FSB wall is grief. I'm trying to find out if it's the Q6600 or the mobo. I suspect that it's the CPU and that water or phase cooling might help. Anyways, until I find an answer, my Cellies are going to be very limited. :(
Sascha, i see you have net @ home! :)
At the moment just got to 430 with some more NB volts. Ran 430x8 with RAM 1720 7-6-5-18 1.75v. The CPU VID is 1.3v, quite high, so it runs a bit warm with the stock HSF. Just wonder if my Vapo LS will free up the FSB? My E6700 is under the Vapo in an XBX at the moment, FSB is rubbish on that board lol, wonder if it would do better in the P5K3?
If only I had some silicon grease, I'd put the DDR3 board straight under subzero.
thx rufusz :D
i brought 2 6750s from work to this party, we tested one and it does 440fsb on air and 620fsb with ln2, at -110 celsius more or less. so yeah, you should be able to get 450 under vapo... but that is if the cpu is holding you back in the first place. 430 is pretty low for a 6700 isnt it? what board are you using atm?
did you try more vfsb/cpuvtt or pll voltage?
oh wait XFX, so i680?
is it an older revision?
did you try different multis?
Ah, no, I've spread confusion! But you've answered my question in the first place :)
The E6700 is in the XBX (975 chipset) in my LS rig, that only does 380 or so. The Q6600 is in the P5K3 on the coffee-table, Intel HSF lol. So if the Q6600 is hitting 430 on poor air, it should pick up its pants and fly when I get that board subzero - assuming it's the chip holding back. I like the P5K3, it has a nice feel. If the quad goes well, there are lots of tweaks to play with. Sure makes a change from the XBX (which drags its knuckles along the ground).
430fsb is not that bad, i have a q6600 that seems to be stable at 3.3ghz with stock volts, but cant get over 398fsb or so... but thats in a very old evga 680 so maybe thats whats holding it back and ill get a much better fsb oc in another board, i hope! :D
Finally jump into the DDR3 wagon :D
Bought a pair of these Cellshock 1800, they cost me a lot of money but seems quite good, here they a quick result:
http://pedrorocha.planetaclix.pt/Bli...-6-6-18-1T.jpg
DDR2000 7-6-6-17 1T - nice
what voltage are you using for that result mate?
my kit seems to hit high speeds at tight timings but yesterday in a quick max clocks testing session at 2.0v i couldnt hit past 990mhz on cas7 or 8
@ youngpro: 2.1v
12K on Everest with a Intel chipset and the CPU Air cooled :D

Impressive in fact :D
Seems to give a nice boost on my favorite game - lobbies love DDR3@ 1000Mhz :D
Here is what I got with the E6850 air cooled:

Tomorrow I will put this on the mini-cascade, some interesting numbers may appear :D
