XS Steam Community and Xfire List

Hey guys, wasn't sure if anyone had started this yet.

If you don't have Steam Communities yet (but you do have Steam) go to File->Settings->Beta Participation and load it up.

The group is public so you shouldn't need an invite to get in.

What this will do will allow us to connect better (since people including myself may be reluctant/lazy to download Xfire).

You can do multiple person chatrooms and you CAN add non-steam games. The best part is being able to view steam communities in ANY game via shift+tab.

sigh, my ports are blocked in college so i can't even get a server list in cs or any other steam game. When i try to join manually through the console it also doesnt work...man i can't play TF2 when it comes out.

I'm on TF2 alot. I love playing the medic. Usually finish in the top 3 on my team if I find a good Soldier/Heavy. :D

If I'm playing TF2, which is 4-5 days a week, I'm playing on The Bar Room server. I've seen Miwo on it once in a while. Although it's not a good server if foul language offends you.

the thing that bothers me the most is the massive lag spikes there
its weird thought because i used to play on there a long time ago and there were no probs. hopefully they fix it soon

Yeah, it seems like it's only when the server gets to about 30 people. Until then it's pretty good.

Is this chatting room must install a steam software to join?

I joined the community Jettasin00.

im trying to join this, but i cant get anything to work. It says im logged in on one page, then it says im not logged in. Then i try to log in it keeps saying "wrong info" even thought im going off a steam email giving me my info, and when i hit "join XS" nothing happens, and when i search for members or "Xtreme Systems" in groups, it says there are no members or groups that match. When i tell it to reset my passwords, it claims none of my emails are in their system.

Its almost like Microsoft is running Steam
