Hi all,
This is my first go at water cooling my 24/7 rig (last turned off 3 weeks ago)
In the bottom of this case:
PA120.3
PA120.2
D5
DCC2 (red impeller) w/petra top
EK res (forgotten what size)
5xSliverstone FN121
Tygon tubing
Cpu:E6400@3400 ~ 1.45
Temps:
ambient:19/20C
23/25 @ idle
40/41 @ load
48/49 @ TAT load
Im sticking this here instead of the gallery because a couple of peeps wanted to see this :)

Oh Jesus that's a lot of radiator.
:shocked: Now that's a lot of cooling! Are you thinking of getting some gfx and chipset blocks next?
All for a CPU? I think you can push more on that OC. Nice btw regardless.
Overkill maybe? Either way, good job on getting all of that in there! Just might want to work on the wiring a little more... lol.

i see a DDC-2 and a D5.
You know your never suposed to mix pumps on the same loop right?
Ya mixing different pumps is never the best idea.. just because one is going to push more through the loop as the other so the other one will be starved.
And the radiators... Major overkill for a single cpu loop..
And it would be even more impressive if you fit that all in there, AND made it look good ;) Anyone can cram a bunch of stuff in that space.. but to make it look good is another thing.

but nice to fit both PAs down there. and nice panel design...
I am choking... that thing needs cable managing ASAP!
And, as others have said, it is a little bit overkill on the radiators, and the pump mixing isn't a very good idea.
But the pattern is nice, and great job fitting everything down there! :up:

As for overkill, in my defence I tend to think of my upgrades as an investment (my last water cooling kit was installed on an old p2) and although its overkill now, maybe once we get 8 cores or maybe more, my hope this that it will be a bit more useful?
Cable management: yeah well no defence for that :) other than I couldn't be arsed :)
Flames on the side: Id like to claim credit for that, but the fact is the side side panel I couldnt even get in the uk (just couldnt get the see through bit and the crossfire fan/mesh) so I purchased in from frozon-cpu then got it water cut but vadim computers.
Pumps: hmmm I did think that this might be a bit of a bad idea in series, but spaced out like they are? Anyway we will soon see :)
One pump is still going to restrict the other, always best to have identical or not at all.Quote:

Looks alright, but mega overkill. A dual rad would be more than plenty to cool a cpu loop. I personally run a single 120mm rad on my opteron 170 which is clocked at 2.85GHz and temps are fine :)

what PSU are you using? is it a custom job?

I got slightly better temps (on coretemp) with orientation number 2.
I have a temp probe taped to the power supply which reads a constant 30/33 c
(depending on ambient and/or load)

The bottom is pretty standard and done like a million times on here, but your more than welcome to a side shot if you like?
