Here's my lowest CPU clock to get sub-10s... looking fast; really fast.

I've tried a 2M at 5100MHz and got 24.573s or something but the FSB is very unstable there and didn't allow me to take screenshot. In fact, this CPU can't do 570FSB; I guess the wall is 569 at that temperature.

wow great I didn't know that Asus can go 560+ with 1066 strap. I was wondering when u said u want to to challenge me on 6600 :), I said in mysef with Asus there is no way but if can pull such high fsb @1066 strap then it would be very interested to see it.

It isn't strap 1066 here, but a modded 1333 :) The mchbar has been tweaked.

erm...its sorta custom made 3 stage cascade phase unit, no company makes it, you'd hafta contact someone to see if theyll make it for you and if not then you'd have to make it yourself.

hehe :D I'm pretty sure sub-10s is doable with a lowest CPU operating frequency; but with more timings adjustements. I've got some weird problems with my 2nd stage and didn't had the time to do more runs.

It isn't easy to explain really; these modifications involve machine language coding. BTW AFAIK someone might be working on an easy to use application to allow changes on the fly; just like you change timings with memtest.

Difficult to say; my k type thermocouple is very bad and contact with evaporator was bad too. :down: Low side pressure was 0.1bar which corresponds to -135C with pure ethylene but much lower with an ethylene / methane mixture. BTW speedfan seems to be quite correct on this P5B-Dlx; @5.1GHz idle was -114C (-112C shortly after the runs) and load was about -105C.

Anyway, 2nd has some problems handling the load. :(

I went back to P5B because speedfan gives some reasonably true temperatures while the DFI gives -128C idle which is hard to believe.

Exact :) It isn't the best one in term of FSB; could only takes about 570FSB under cascade. Anyway, that's fairly good.

Don't know which value really helps stability; IIRC max actual Vmch should be 1.62v.

@Savoy: this E6600 can boot @580*9; I'm pretty sure it's 590-600FSB capable with a little bit more cold. I've tested 3 E6600 L709A under water & cascade (I need to sale 5 ATM). One of those did 605FSB. :)

Here's a Spi 32M done this afternoon. The cascade didn't allow me to do another run; it must be sub-10mins at these clocks. :shakes:

I'm gonna change the 2nd stage compressor for a bigger one (13,000Btu/h instead of 10,000Btu/h) to give this stage a better flow. :( It can't handle the load without making me crazy. :down: Also; I'm considering using only R50 into 3rd stage because the R1150 is really :banana::banana::banana::banana:ty at this point.

I wouldn't use just R50 on it's own in stage 3. It has no capacity on its own. I would mix it with some R1150 or use maybe R14.

Thx buddy. I've already tested R50/R1150 mixture and it wasn't really interesting... at least that's what I've concluded. Observation might have been wrong because the main problem is the 2nd stage ATM.

Also, I did few things with R50 only into low stage and despite a really awfull HP, chip temparature was incredible at 300w of load. (-122C idle with the E6600 5.1GHz @1.79v; dunno what was evap temp but about -135C is probable)

It was explained in another thread (NewBeetle's sub9 1M) - this is the "golden thread" - http://www.ixtremtek.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76 ;). French forum but screens are enough to understand what to do :).

@before: if You can, tell us please, what exactly You are changing? The 8-bit version or 32-bit and what addresses?
From my little tests with 32-bit version, the first and last in top row is easy to change (490 FSB 1M with 1,25V @ NB was enough for me althought I can't get stable FSB 400 @ "normal" 1066 with 1,25V).
The 8-bit version (all tweaks) was stable in Blend Test FSB 500 @ 1,45V NB.
I'm still testing of course ;).

Good heaven, these L709A are amazing... 5.2GHz benchable under cascade is definitely great. I don't have enough money to try this one under LN²; but with R50 and a bigger 2nd stage compressor... it should be awesome.

Might be a matter of CPU not mobo... ;) There is a huge difference between standard cooling condtions and less than -100C... :)

I'm getting exactly the same results. I managed 3.88 stable with water. I can' get past 3.97 but I think that it is my motherboard holding me back there. Time for some vmods!!(1st timer *eek)

to 71.5% of R50 + 28.5% of R1150 at 14Bars HP
